Pay-Per-Click (PPC) Service Description

The Pay-Per-Click service allows Vendor to create advertising campaigns (each a “PPC Campaign”) to generate leads and includes the features described in this Service Description (“PPC”). Through a PPC Campaign, prospective buyers searching for business software or services on www.capterra.com, www.softwareadvice.com or www.getapp.com (collectively, the “Site”) can click on Vendor's sponsored profile (“Click(s)”) and be directed to a webpage selected by Vendor (“Landing Page”). Leads are generated from Clicks. Any capitalized term used but not defined herein has the meaning given to it in the General Vendor Terms.

Deliverables: PPC entitles Vendor to the following:

  • Sponsored Profile: An enhanced profile that appears in sponsored placements and links to Vendor’s Landing Page.
  • Conversion Tracking: Tools to track and report whether a click convert into a lead.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Access to (i) a dashboard in Vendor’s G2 Digital Markets account (“Vendor Account”) showing key PPC data, including clicks by category and date, average cost per Click, and total monthly spend for Click activity (“Click Report”),  (ii) billing history, with past invoices by month and (iii) the ability to place a limit on monthly spend.

Eligibility: To use PPC, Vendor must upgrade to a Sponsored Profile, activate a PPC Campaign, and receive approval from a G2 Digital Markets representative.

Access: PPC is accessed through Vendor’s G2 Digital Markets account (“Vendor Account”) by individuals designated by Vendor (“Users”) using unique login credentials. Vendor is responsible for all activity under its Vendor Account, including safeguarding credentials and managing User access. Users with administrative permissions may add, modify, or remove Users. Third-party access requires our prior approval.

Fees and Payment Terms. Fees are based on our tracking of Vendor’s PPC Campaign, unless otherwise agreed to a written document signed by the parties. Vendor is responsible for all fees based on the set budget set and the resulting clicks activity from the PPC Campaign. Any budget modifications or campaign pauses will take effect at the start of the following month.

Conversion Tracking. Vendor may enroll in Conversion Tracking through Vendor’s Account. Vendor may install a Conversion Tracking Snippet (“Code Snippet”) on its Landing Page in order to have timely and accurate access to campaign performance data through the Click Report. This reporting may help Vendor and us evaluate campaign performance and identify optimization opportunities. Conversion reporting will begin after the code has been installed on Vendor’s website and Vendor has enrolled. Conversions will be reported on a Click Report in Vendor’s Account. The timeframe for a Conversion is 30 days from the day of the Click. Click Reports are based on our definition of a Click and may be affected by system downtime. Vendor is solely responsible for the proper installation of the Code Snippet. We are not responsible for Vendor’s website, Landing Page, or any issues caused by incorrect installation or website changes. Should Vendor change its website or Landing Page any time, the Code Snippet must remain installed correctly to ensure accurate conversion reporting. To stop Conversion Tracking, Vendor must remove the Code Snippet from its website.

Refunds and Credits. Credit requests and claims of invalid clicks are considered on a case-by-case basis. To make a claim, email your account manager or team describing the click activity (dates of the traffic in question, etc.) with supporting data from your logs. All disputes must be made within 60 days of the invoice date.

We may update this Service Description from time to time. Continued use of PPC constitutes acceptance of any updates. PPC is governed by this Service Description and the General Vendor Terms.
