> Boekmee is a browser-based lending system for school libraries and small libraries. It gives teachers, reading coordinators, parent volunteers and librarians a clear overview of available books, current borrowers and overdue loans. Staff record loans and returns, pass books on to another reader and manage pupils and groups.

A school account supports multiple collections, custom group names, school logos and colours. Books can be found by title, and new books can be added using a phone camera. Collection-use statistics help schools understand which books are borrowed. Optional weekly emails list overdue books by group.

Libraries and school boards can use an organisation account to manage multiple schools, distribute shared collections, rotate collections between schools and view school-level loans and statistics.

No software installation is required: Boekmee works on computers, laptops, tablets and smartphones. A pupil’s name and group are sufficient to record a loan. Annual school licences include setup, data migration from another lending system, help desk support and assistance with the yearly transition of pupil groups.

School pricing is €290 per year for up to and including 500 pupils or €390 per year for 501 or more pupils, excluding VAT. Multi-school organisations can request a tailored quote. Boekmee serves schools and libraries in the Netherlands and Dutch-speaking Belgium; an online demo is available.
