# SmoothInvoice

> SmoothInvoice is a free invoicing app for freelancers, sole traders and small businesses in Germany. It runs in the browser, so there is nothing to install and you can start without an account.

German rules are built in. Every invoice carries the details required by § 14 UStG. Small business owners under § 19 UStG get the right notice and no VAT on the invoice. Everyone else can use 19 %, 7 % and 0 % per line, and totals are calculated per rate. Reverse charge for EU customers and export cases are covered too.

Getting paid is easier: each invoice can show a GiroCode that customers scan with their banking app. Open and overdue invoices are listed in one place, and reminders take a click.

For public sector clients, SmoothInvoice exports XRechnung files that pass the official KoSIT validator.

Your data stays on your device. An optional free account keeps an encrypted backup and syncs your devices; the password never leaves the browser, so nobody else can read your invoices.
