# AML Scenario Gap Finder

Canonical: https://www.softwareadvice.co.uk/software/773146/AML-Scenario-Gap-Finder

> AML Scenario Gap Finder is built for the BSA officer, MLRO or transaction monitoring manager at a community bank, credit union, payments company, fintech, broker-dealer or remittance provider. Examiners ask a simple question: which scenario covers this risk on this channel? The usual answer lives in a spreadsheet of scenarios next to the rule engine, and nobody has drawn the coverage.

How it works. First, paste the scenario list, one scenario per line, with any of ID, threshold, lookback, frequency, channel, segment, last reviewed, owner, alerts and SARs. A first line can set the institution type, the countries, the channels you offer and the as-at date. Second, each scenario is placed on one of 50 published typologies in twelve groups, by its ID where one is recognised and by its wording otherwise. Anything that fits nowhere is marked unplaced. Third, you read the coverage chart, typology against channel, and the ten findings below it, each with the obligation quoted from the Bank Secrecy Act regulations, the FATF Recommendations, the Australian AML/CTF Act or the OFAC framework.

What you take away: the exam pack with one page per finding, the coverage chart as CSV, the register CSV and a one-page board summary. Each finding names a question for the model owner.

What it does not do. It does not read transactions, alerts or customer records, it does not tune thresholds, and it passes no judgement on how well a scenario performs. It shows which risks and channels the scenario list reaches and which it does not.

How it compares. Monitoring platforms sell a continuous layer to institutions that can buy one, and tuning engagements take weeks. This works on the inventory you already keep, before anyone retunes a line, with no data handed over.

Data handling: scenarios are processed locally in the browser, and saving is the only step that stores anything.

You can try it without an account on up to eight scenarios at a time, and the specimen always runs in full. The Solo plan costs USD 29 a month for one person: every scenario read with no cap, the four exports and one saved list you can re-run as the inventory changes. The Team plan, at USD 99 a month, is for everyone in the organisation: teammates with owner, editor and viewer roles, more saved lists, and a change log on re-upload showing every scenario added, removed, retuned or re-owned.
