# Vendor Register

Canonical: https://www.softwareadvice.co.uk/software/773141/Vendor-Register

> Who it is for
Vendor Register is built for third-party risk, vendor and procurement managers at banks, insurers, payments firms and fintechs who must produce a DORA register of information, a NIS2 supplier view, or a supply chain register under NIST SP 800-161.

The problem
Vendor risk platforms are designed for large institutions with dedicated procurement teams and licence budgets. A vendor manager at a 600-person firm usually has a contract folder, a spreadsheet, and a supervisor asking for the register. Before any platform decision, someone has to say what the business depends on each vendor for, where that dependency lands, which vendors have no fallback and which contracts carry the expected clauses.

How it works
Step one: paste the procurement export, contract index or audit spreadsheet, one vendor per line, with columns in any order. Alternatively, enter your company website; the tool reads your homepage and up to six of your own pages and fills the list with what they load and name, citing the page for each row. Only the address you type is sent. Step two: each vendor is matched to one of 45 categories in eight families, and the register calculates shares of spend and systems, country of dependency, criticality, single-source status and contract days left, plus register-wide concentration and renewals. Step three: tick the regimes that reach you and each vendor carries the attached clauses from DORA, NIS2, NIST SP 800-161 and ISO/IEC 27001, with requirement text quoted from the held standards. The DORA register of information exports with the fields the supervisory template asks for.

What it does not do
It does not rate vendors or countries and never rules on you. Each figure is a comparison of your own columns, and each obligation is stated in the publisher's words and cited.

Data handling
Classification and calculations run in your browser. Nothing is sent until you choose to save, apart from the website address if you use that option.

Pricing
The free plan lets you try eight vendors with no account. The Solo plan costs USD 29 a month for one person, with exports including the DORA register of information. The Team plan costs USD 99 a month for your whole organisation.
