About Practice EHR

Practice EHR, a medical practice management software, was developed to accommodate the needs of small to mid-size businesses. The platform is customizable to internal medicine practices, chiropractors, physical therapists, family medicine, podiatrists, psychiatrists and various other specialties. Core features of Practice EHR include electronic medical records, medical billing, patient scheduling and medical billing services. These applications are available as part of one integrated suite. Electronic medical records are offered as a stand-alone feature for practices that need a simplified solution. Users can also have access to e-prescribing, lab integration, procedure workflows, narrative reports, tablet PC support, patient portals and ONC-ATCB certification. Eligibility inquiry, claim scrubbing, and workers’ compensation claims are offered for practices that choose to utilize the medical billing application. Practice EHR is an entirely cloud-based solution. It is accessible via mobile devices and remote desktops.

The best EHR system I have used.

Less time spent on looking up codes . Billing and invoicing is so simple.

Pros

This system has been a life saver to our practice. Billing and coding is so much easier with the Practice EHR. It has saved hours of paperwork

Great experience

Great experience. We have been using Practice EHR with practice management software for past 8 months and we are very satisfied.

Pros

Training was useful. User friendly and support team is very helpfulTickets are solved in timely manner. Down time is minimal.

Do not recommend

Experience was good until I notified them for the 3rd time that I was cancelling my subscription and I needed a refund. Its been all down hill from there. I will never use their services again and would never recommend anyone use this system for their EHR.

Pros

Cheap EHR for startup practice. Not much else to say.

Cons

This company auto renewed my subscription after multiple conversations with me telling them I would not be renewing. This company sent me my encrypted patient data 2 months prior to the expiration of subscription. After notifying them again of my cancellation and need for refund, they now want me to pay $1000.00 for my patient data. This is absolutely absurd and they refuse to rectify the situation and are now holding all of my practice information and patient data hostage.

Excellent EHR

We have been using them for over a decade and have had no issues. The transition process for our new providers is always so seamless because it is so user-friendly. Our providers love the EHR.

Do not trust this guys

Sales man Mr. X was liar. He didn’t tell me the clear terms and conditions and cancellation policy even I asked (sales man) specifically. I asked what is the cancellation policy for monthly plans ? And he says you can give us 30 days notice prior to canceling and that’s all. And when I gave notice for cancellation , he charged me for whole 1yr fees when I gave 30 days notice after 2 months of subscription. But I asked just questions regarding cancellation policy that I will be charged for anything else if I cancel any time and then he says no it is just 30 days notice and you will download your records and give it to you.

Pros

Chart notes, customized templates and patients forms

Cons

Says representative Mr. X are liars and hide the true agreement, terms and conditions when you ask them straight questions. Says person are not truthful and deceitful to get you into the deal and then will charge you for the whole year, even if you are not happy with the software .

Software details -Normal physical exam can not be populated with one click. For each prescription, you will have to calculate the milligrams and ML and total amount of dispensing ML or milligrams.
Software is slightly slow, sometimes prescription does not go through, the support team customizes template for you, but you will have to teach them every micro details like you’re teaching a computer which is very frustrating.

Practice EHR survery

Pros

It is very user friendly and it is relatively easy to navigate where you need to go.

Cons

The way the medication screen is set up. It does not save but one pharmacy at a time but gives a drop box like it should save all that have been entered on the patient.

Does everything I need with alot of reports so i dont miss payments.

Pros

I go to many facilities and this sorts them out well

Cons

Takes time to set up letter head, change office address and get billing statement correct. When completed it looks grest.

Experience has been overall good, it would be nice to have more tool tips or ways to navigate the system myself when I have questions.

Pros

The ease of the patient dashboard and entering in new patients as well as looking up current ones.

Cons

If you make a mistake, for example creating a claim under the wrong insurance, you have to re-enter everything. It seems like the system is a little unforgiving when it comes to making changes and updates.

Cumbersome

An eye doctor did not create the record system.

Pros

Willing to make changes . The coding system is nice.

Cons

Way to much clicking! Need to be able to see prior information without having to close a record and open a prior record.

GOODS AND BADS

Pros

It is cost-effective as I am in a solo practice, and work very part-time. I can order more than one medication at a time. It’s great to now be able to order controlled substances for my patients when necessary!!!

Cons

Inability to speak with a “real person” in a timely fashion. I’ve had to wait 20-45 min on hold prior to speaking to someone. I’ve also been disconnected by the “system”, and had to call back. It doesn’t have a way to alert me to do my tardive dyskinesia screens, and there is no template.

Free Trial is NOT Free

We signed up for the 30 day free trial and they tried to charge our card. When I blocked the charge as the trial should be free and not charged and they deactivated our account. Very poor business practice and terrible customer service.

Pros

User friendly, my team liked the UI/UX. The price is also reasonable.

There is not much negative to say about it. Make sure you use a secure password as it is web based and you do not want others accessing your information.

Practice EHR

Staff/Customer service are great and very prompt in dealing with any issues. I really don't have any complaints.

Pros

No EMR system is perfect but I have used multiple different private practice based systems and I am very happy that we went with this system. The appearance is great, it is very easy to get from section to section. Basically, this system is very user friendly. At first glance, it seems like a primary care system but they work with you to make the system specific to your specialty.

Cons

It would be nice to be able to copy and past sections in place of whole notes.

The Dash board, charts, Mobility and flexibility were key. The add-ons available is what is most impressive to me. e.g telemed

Cons

For different types of medical operations, and different countries it will require some tweaking, however the team at Practice EHTR are more than willing and able to make those changes for you.

Perfect for what we do

We are a lifestyle medicine clinic and the software is good for us. The cost is low, so the value is great. We don't use ICD-10 codes but they are easy to implement. Customizability is good.
The only issue we run into is we can't track outside labs and put them in manually to graph, but that's an easy fix with an upgrade and it's more of a want than a need.
