When it was finally time to cancel our monthly subscription to Chargebee, we cancelled our subscription well in advance of the next renewal, and we were still RENEWED FOR ANOTHER MONTH AFTER CANCELLATION. We brought this to their attention and they REFUSE TO REFUND US. As a subscription box company, we're up-to-date on all of the industry standards, and they are NOT FOLLOWING LEGAL GUIDELINES FOR CANCELLATIONS. I have no idea why but their dunning engine will send messages to people prior to charging their credit cards. So far its worked and it's saved me hours of doing this myself by exporting everything to an Excel spreadsheet to view our custom fintech variables. You can’t even manually edit a users name on a brand new account. There is also a delay in getting refunds from the gateway due to Chargebee not communicating directly with the gateway during the initial dispute. And third party integrations are horrible if they aren’t setup properly the first time. > > We use Chargebee solely to collect recurring payment from our clients automatically. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the api helped bridge the gap between Chargebee and our other accounting tools. It has recovered some of the failed payments.
