> BookNoFees is a marketplace where owners of vacation rentals reach guests directly. Publishing a property is free and the owner pays no commission on what they earn, so the rate they set is the amount that reaches them. There is no exclusivity: a home can stay on the portals it is already on, and two-way iCal synchronisation with Airbnb, Booking.com and Vrbo closes the dates in both directions, so a week sold elsewhere cannot be sold twice. Guests are shown a single price and nothing is added at checkout; the 3.9 percent payment contribution sits inside that price, pays for card and bank processing and refund handling, and the platform earns nothing from it. Payment is held until after check-in, which protects the guest against a home that is not there and the owner against a guest who does not pay.
