About Pronto Xi

Pronto Xi is an integrated enterprise resource planning (ERP) suite that provides core applications, such as financial accounting and business intelligence, alongside sales and marketing modules, supply chain management and distribution tools and manufacturing and facilities management features within one solution. Their core offering combines financial tools and distribution systems and directly integrates with IBM’s Cognos business intelligence technology. Within the distribution tool, users can view and manage multiple warehouse inventories, automate freight calculations, access sales histories and customize order entry screens. Additionally, the program’s manufacturing suite allows creating responsive inventory items based on client requirements that transition to shop floor instructions. Pronto Xi’s POS feature provides users with a touch-screen user interface that directly integrates with the suite’s inventory management tool. Users can create new customer profiles from any store and make them accessible from any register. Also, real-time stock inquiries can be executed by any certified staff member, which helps eliminate calls between locations. The solution is suitable for midsize businesses in retail, heavy industry, manufacturing, mining, field services and supply chain management, and the system can be deployed as an on-premise, cloud-based or hybrid solution.

Very much Compatible to use

I used to solve order, shipment, inventory related issue and it is really awesome platform for ERP. Order tracking system is very fast and easy to get a report.

Pros

Pronto has very user friendly interface and I really like interface

Cons

I used it for POS management so POS screen should be more interactive as it is currently.

Customized accessable info

We changed from Amwin to Pronto as the company got bigger, it was a big ajustment at first but now seems to function very well for the office as well as the warehouse

Pros

If you have the idea and the money, you can add and remove functions to suit your business

Cons

There are limits on some things you can do. Some of the functions take longer to do. eg. reprinting an invoice takes more steps than just pressing "send"
When you are adding functions, you also have to give up others for them to work

Pronto Xi for Prospect Resources

We needed to implement an integrated ERP into the business that was not excessively complex because of the relatively simple nature of our business model. We also needed something that was preferably designed around the nature of our business, which is mining.

Pros

Very simple and easy implementation. The modular structure of the software makes it simple to implement in stages without excessive down time. It is also theoretically designed primarily for mining which is the industry in which our business operates.

Cons

Structurally the software requires a fair bit of customisation if used in jurisdictions with significantly different business rules to Australia, where Pronto was developed. Some of the non-Australian business rules proved difficult to implement.

Pronto

The support we get from the re-seller is poor and unresponsive
We did an upgrade in June and we are now in december and there are still bugs.

Pros

It has a great rental module that helps us with our core business

Cons

The software is expensive and you need to buy extra modules to do basic business functions.
Ie: service module, rental module, true forms, cognos
