# Qvera Interface Engine (QIE)

Canonical: https://www.softwareadvice.co.uk/software/592021/Qvera-Interface-Engine-QIE

> Most healthcare interface teams are small. One or two analysts keep every feed running between the EHR, the lab system, the imaging archive and a dozen outside vendors, and every new connection request lands on the same desk. Qvera Interface Engine is built for that reality.

Who it is for

Qvera Interface Engine is used by hospitals, health systems, imaging centers, and healthcare software vendors who embed it inside their own products. Some customers run a handful of interfaces; others run thousands. The common thread is a team that needs to move quickly without a large integration department behind it.

What makes it different

Full DICOM networking in the same engine. Qvera handles HL7 v2 and v3, FHIR, X12, NCPDP, ASTM, CDA and IHE profiles, and DICOM with store, query, retrieve and worklist plus header de-identification, in a single product. Sites that would otherwise run a separate imaging router alongside an interface engine run one tool, with one skill set.

Converts Mirth channels. Convert a Mirth Connect export, JavaScript included, into QIE channels. The conversion report shows anything worth checking before go-live.

High availability on every license. Several QIE servers share one database, so interfaces keep running if one fails. Available on every licensing model.

The Remote Management Hub. Licensed separately, it manages QIE sites on separate networks from one console; each site connects outward, so there is no VPN into every network. If you deploy into other organizations' environments, this is how you manage the fleet.

Support

Email and phone support, a searchable knowledge base, a named account representative, and 24/7 cover for system-down emergencies. Paid Level 1 and Level 2 training is available online, and the AI Companion answers product questions directly inside the application.

Getting started

QIE is in production today at more than 600 sites, running more than 25,000 interfaces and processing more than 50 million messages a day. Individual deployments range from a single clinic to more than 10 million messages a day in a single QIE instance.

Deploy on-premise, in containers, or in your own Amazon, Azure or Google cloud environment, or have Qvera host it as a managed service. SOC 2 Type 2 attested. Qvera has built interface engines since 2008. A free trial is available on request: tell us what you are trying to connect and we will set you up.
