There's no monthly subscription. Handiwork charges a 3% platform fee only on the payments you actually process through the app, capped at $79 in any calendar month per business, so a slow month costs nothing. The full fee breakdown — gross payment, processing cost, platform fee, and net payout — is visible on every transaction. Support is available by email and through the Handiwork help center. Handiwork runs as a responsive web app on any phone, tablet, or computer, so your crew is up and running with nothing to install.

Payment processing: Card and ACH payments run through Stripe. Stripe's own processing fee (industry-standard, approximately 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction) is separate from Handiwork's platform fee and is the responsibility of the business — it is not charged or retained by Handiwork.

Refunds: if a business issues a refund, Handiwork returns the platform fee it collected on the refunded amount, and that amount does not count toward the business's monthly fee cap. Stripe's processing fee is not returned on a refund.

Contract: none. No annual commitment, no cancellation fee, and no per-seat charge — every feature is available to every user on the account.
