> TextBolt is an email to SMS and email to text service for businesses. The idea is simple: if it can send an email, it can send a text. Each phone number gets a unique email address at sendemailtotext.com. Any email sent to that address is delivered as an SMS to that phone number, and the recipient's reply is routed back to the original sender's inbox, threaded like a normal email.

Text from your inbox
Send appointment reminders, booking confirmations and customer follow-ups from the email client you already use, including Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird and Microsoft 365. Put the phone number address in the To field; the subject and body become the text message. Replies come back as email, so two-way texting fits into existing workflows for sales, recruiting, real estate, customer support and scheduling.

SMS alerts and SMS notifications from any system
Many monitoring and alarm systems already send email. Point those emails at a TextBolt address and they arrive as SMS alerts, with no SDK, no code and no integration project. Common sources include IT and DevOps tools such as Datadog, Grafana, PagerDuty, Opsgenie, Nagios, UptimeRobot and AWS CloudWatch, as well as alarm panels, broadcast transmitter monitors, IoT sensors, VoIP voicemail and web forms.

Replacing carrier email to text gateways
The carrier email-to-SMS gateways are going away: AT\&T's txt.att.net shut down on June 17, 2025, T-Mobile's tmomail.net stopped in late 2024, and Verizon's vtext.com sunsets by March 31, 2027. TextBolt lets systems that relied on those gateways keep texting by changing only the destination address.

Plans and compliance
Paid plans are based on monthly message credits. Higher plans add bulk SMS to contact groups and multi-user access for teams. TextBolt is a verified A2P 10DLC business sender and is used by teams in healthcare, IT, education, logistics, government and other industries.
