> Planeto is a web-based software platform for designing, simulating, and optimizing district heating and cooling (DHC) systems, including 5th-generation low-temperature systems (5GDHC). The platform supports energy engineers, utilities, engineering offices, and municipalities throughout the full lifecycle of a thermal network project, from early feasibility analysis through detailed hydraulic design and pipe sizing.

The platform analyzes building-level heating and cooling demand across a district and helps planners identify which buildings and areas offer the best opportunity for a new network. Multiple energy sources, including geothermal, heat pumps, solar thermal, and waste heat, can be combined and sized against projected demand, and the resulting network simulates the performance under real operating conditions. All scenarios can also be tested against future climate assumptions, since networks are typically planned to serve buildings for decades.

Several scenarios are compared side by side within a single project, with CAPEX, OPEX, cash flow projections, and CO2 impact calculated for each and exportable as reports or spreadsheets. A collaborative workspace allows internal teams and external partners, such as municipalities or subcontracted engineers, to work from shared project data rather than exchanging files individually. The interface is available in English, French, German, and Italian.
