If you run a guarding company, your day is not a calendar. It is a phone that rings at 03:00 because someone called in sick, a client who wants proof the patrol actually happened, and a payroll run where the hours never quite match the plan. Balerion Security was built for exactly that day.

Who it is for

Owners, dispatchers and site managers at guarding, event security, retail security and facility protection companies, typically between 10 and 1,500 officers. Balerion replaces the usual mix of spreadsheets, WhatsApp groups and phone calls with one system.

What it does

You plan shifts on a visual board by drag and drop. Every assignment is checked before it is saved: does the officer hold the required qualification, is there a site ban, a double booking, an approved absence, or a conflict with working time law. Nothing slips through because someone was in a hurry.

When an officer drops out, Balerion proposes suitable replacements and, once activated, contacts them for you, escalating from a push notification to WhatsApp to a phone call. Open shifts can also be released to a marketplace where officers claim them from the app.

Officers clock in on site from their phone, with a geofence so the check-in is tied to the location. For teams without smartphones, a tablet at the site works as a time clock. Guard tours with QR checkpoints and a digital guard log give your client the evidence they ask for, and you can give them direct access to it in their own portal instead of emailing a monthly report.

Approved hours flow straight into a payroll preview with the tax-free premiums under German law and a DATEV export, and into invoicing with XRechnung, SEPA direct debit and dunning. The hours you scheduled, the hours you paid and the hours you billed all come from the same place.

What makes it different

Balerion is not a generic workforce tool with a security skin. Qualification tracking under section 34a, the Bewacherregister, working time law checks, works council approval of published schedules and cross company subcontracting are part of the product, not a custom project. The apps for officers and managers ship in 15 languages, which matters when a third of the German security workforce works part time and does not speak German as a first language.
