NeatDrive finds those links and ranks them by risk, so you start with the ones attached to client work instead of an inventory of everything you own.

Who it is for. NeatDrive is built for whoever is accountable when one of those links turns up somewhere it shouldn't be — a practice manager, an ops lead, a managing partner at a firm too small to have an IT department. You do not need to administer Google Workspace to use it, and you will not be asked to read a permissions matrix.

How it works. Connect a Drive account and run an audit. NeatDrive reads permissions and file metadata through Google's native Drive APIs. Audits are read-only by default: nothing about your Drive changes unless you authorise it.

When you decide to act, you get a preview before every change and an activity log of everything applied. Revoke links, archive, rename, or run bulk actions with filters. Nothing happens silently, and nothing happens because the software decided it should.

Alongside link exposure, NeatDrive finds duplicate files, flags naming-convention drift with bulk rename, and shows where storage has gone — so you can see what could be reclaimed before deciding whether to reclaim it.

Scope, because it matters. NeatDrive audits the one Google account you connect — not other people's Drives, and not a domain-wide Workspace audit. You choose what it covers: My Drive, shared drives, or all drives. Google only lists shared drives to apps that can read or change them, so shared-drive scanning needs the write grant.

What you can undo. Revoking a share can be undone for 30 days. Files you archive move to a NeatDrive Archive folder in your own Drive rather than to Trash. Deleted files go to your Google Drive Trash, where Google keeps them for 30 days. Not every action can be undone — renaming cannot.
