> askacharge.com is charge point management software (CPMS) for independent EV charging operators, electrical installers who resell charging software, and any business with a car park that wants to monetise its chargers: hotels, restaurants, campsites, retail parks and fleets.
The platform is built on open standards. Chargers connect over OCPP 1.6J or OCPP 2.0.1, so operators can mix manufacturers and reuse hardware they already own. Roaming runs on OCPI 2.2, either point to point with other operators or through the ES\*ACH hub, which gives a single integration to every member network with monthly settlement and revenue share.
Operators manage chargers and connectors in real time, with status, heartbeat, meter readings, remote start and stop, reservations and firmware commands. Access can be free, by RFID card, by QR code with no app and no account, or by ISO 15118 Plug\&Charge. Tariffs can be set per kWh, per hour, per session, combined, free, or indexed to the Spanish PVPC hourly price with a margin.
Payments run through Stripe Connect. Anonymous QR drivers are pre-authorised and charged only for the energy used; fleet drivers save a card and are billed automatically; site owners receive their share of revenue. Fleet customers are invoiced monthly, with TicketBAI/Batuz and Verifactu electronic invoicing for Basque and Spanish operators.
The platform also covers load management per location, CO2 saved per session, anomaly detection on consumption, a REST API with scoped keys, HMAC-signed webhooks, two-factor authentication, and GDPR data export and deletion.
Pricing is a flat 20 EUR per month with no limit on chargers or sessions and no percentage of revenue, after a free trial.
Two limits worth stating up front: the OCPP implementation is tested with the Open Charge Alliance's OCTT tool but is not certified by the Alliance, and the driver application is a progressive web app rather than a native mobile app.

The only percentages we charge, stated plainly: driver card payments by QR
cost 2% + €0.25 per collection (payment gateway, all-in, Stripe fee included);
roaming sessions through the Hub carry 1% (only when another operator's
driver charges on your chargers). If you take no card payments and do not join
the Hub, €20/month is the complete cost.
30-day free trial with every feature, no card required, no setup fee, no
minimum term. In the United States and Mexico the same plan is billed as
$20/month. All prices exclude VAT.
