Excel stays, the process changes

Most finance teams do not want to abandon Excel, and they should not have to. In FlexiEPM, Excel stays the working interface for planning and reporting. Data, versions, business logic and permissions move into one central database, so numbers stop travelling by email and every figure can be traced back to its source.

Planning and forecasting

Annual budgets, top-down and bottom-up planning, rolling forecasts and what-if scenarios. Plans are collected from many users and entities, versioned and approved in one place, with automatic recalculation after every change. Grupa Żywiec, an organization of around 1,700 employees, uses FlexiEPM for personnel cost planning and bonus reserves. Work that previously took two to three days now takes a few hours, and the full model recalculates in 10 to 12 minutes.

Management and financial reporting

Recurring management reports, budget variance analysis, KPI tracking and reporting by company, business unit, cost center, product or any other dimension, with drill-down to source data. FlexiStatements, an extension for Microsoft Word, refreshes figures directly in statements and notes, which removes manual copying between Excel and Word. At Grupa WeNet, preparing financial statements went from up to two weeks to around three days.

Financial consolidation and group reporting

Multi-company and multi-currency consolidation, currency translation, account mapping, eliminations, consolidation adjustments, intercompany reconciliation, subconsolidations and consolidation packages. Reporting under IFRS, local accounting standards and internal group rules. Wirtualna Polska Holding runs consolidation for around 50 companies in 6 currencies on FlexiEPM.

Cost allocation and profitability management

Multi-step allocation rules, allocation keys, and profitability analysis before and after allocation. INTER Polska automated more than 100 allocation rules for around 40 users; data consolidation and refresh that used to take up to two days now takes about 15 minutes.

Other areas

Personnel cost planning and HR controlling, headcount and salary scenarios, IFRS 16 lease accounting, cash flow reporting, and long-horizon planning such as the 20-year contract forecasts maintained by OT Logistics.
