> **Pros**: The continuity of document markups, even when source documents are revised or updated, makes this software extremely effective for our organization. We make extensive use of the ability to have separate markup files for our different departments and functions.

> **Cons**: The method for creating customization in the software is a bit difficult and requires a willingness to dig into the user manual of AutoVue. Once the customization is complete though, there isn't much else that needs to be managed in the software.
> 
> We are using AutoVue to create electronic markups for our inspection criteria in a manufacturing setting. The separate file method of storing markups allows us to have a central repository for all of our notes and prevent changes by unauthorized users. This has saved us time in keeping track of controlled versions of documents and eliminates the need for paper copies.
