Ok, I guess?
Pros
It's very easy to use, doesn't take a long time to load, and keeps track of my mileage automatically so I don't have to.
Cons
You have to refresh several times to get changes to take effect. For example, if I reschedule a patient to tomorrow, I have to refresh to get the visit off of today, then again to get it on tomorrow. There's gotta be a less time consuming way to do this.

HCHB has been a partnership success
Its been a great experience for our company who moved from a smaller vendor to HCHB. We knew with this change it would dilute the attention some since HCHB has a lot of customers but all and all they do an excellent job still giving us the attention we need to be successful on the product and the implementation team was top notch.
Pros
Extremely robust program, can customize to your agency but also ensures you stay within regulatory requirements.
Cons
Being a larger company its hard to communicate glitches or minor flaws in the system and see them be fixed. IE maybe an inconsistent box that you cannot type/search in when all other boxes are - would be hard to get this resolved since its not a pain point but still is an annoyance for an end user.

iKnowMedReasons for Choosing Homecare Homebase
Healthcare First wasnt an option so selected other. HCF was our EMR and was not able to keep up with an agency our size both in speed of the system but also features. We were ready to move to bedside charting with tablets and HCF was not in a place to support this.Switched From

HCHB had more features and I knew it was the better pick even with the price point difference. It was worth the investment to be on a product we knew could support our growth in the long term.Response from Homecare Homebase

Abominable
I am retiring 6 months earlier than planned because I will not, absolutely will not diminish the therapy my patients need in order to work with this absolute nightmare. Gee, thanks, HCHB for ruining my career. This piece of software crap flies in the face of everything speech pathologists do.
Pros
Nothing. This has wasted so much of my time. The training is ludicrous. Who on earth created this mess?
Cons
Not based on how human beings process information. So much time spent on re-inventing the wheel, the patient loses valuable time. No one in the back office can make this work. Yet those of us in the filed mus5 rely upon the back office to load visits.

Good EMR for managing some aspects with a very heavy workload for others.
I have used this software in the field as a clinician and as a back office user on the admin side as well.
Pros
I like that it is customizable and has excellent report features. With a very large team, you can make sure that duties and tasks are very clearly delegated and monitored for completion.
Cons
No innovation and not up to date at all. Very little changed over the year. Very difficult to learn how to use and implement it. Causes high levels of clinician frustration and that leads to many documentation timeliness an compliance problems. Such a heavy workload and so many extra steps for everything. Not at all intuitive, tons of internal issues and errors and constant issues with syncing and refreshing cause frequent service failures and compliance issues.

Top billing software but has some downfalls....
Pros
They have been great to add programs to the software so that we can keep everything in house. We have multiple lines of business and in that respect they are very accommodating. We have been with them for years so most of our staff is familiar with the software and how it operates.
Cons
It can become super costly. They charge enormous amounts for each add-on you purchase. Also, customer service has always and still is very slow to respond at times. There are times we will wait 2-3 days for a response to what seems like a simple fix. Also not fond of a lot of the updates they do (which is often) They seem to change the look and feel of the site far too much.
