Finally an EMR that won't disappoint!
Power2Practice is an amazing cloudbased EMR! It fits all practice types, large and small, and is tailored for Integrative and Functional Medicine - FINALLY! The support is fantastic and fast. It is such an intuitive software that anyone can learn to use it and use it efficiently. Not to mention it is extremely affordable for those smaller practices that are looking for a solution to help them hit the ground running.
I would recommend this to anyone who practices integrative or functional medicine or anyone that simply wants an innovative and reliable EMR.

It's very difficult for patients to use the portal side causing allot of frustration for our...
Pros
Exam section and questionnaires are nicely set up if patients can get filled out you do receive great information.
Cons
Unfortunately assisting patients to fill out the questionnaires takes multiple calls and can be very frustrating on the patient side. Prescriptions are often lost in the system and don't make it to the pharmacy causing us to have to follow up with phone calls. We have to make all our own templates to chart. The aesthetics they promised doesn't upload pictures we take they are always too big. They are overpriced and promise things they cannot deliver on like a vitural answering service which was nothing more then an expensive answering machine where we received wrong telephone numbers and lost potential patients. We were charged for services when promised an introductory rate to try and so it has been a frustrating experience to grow with this company who is trying to make a mark. Be careful how you spend your money because once your in you don't want to go through all the hassle of changing. Very disappointed with the follow through and support. I've had customer service and support people change hands throughout the process and cannot get answers when things go wrong because that person has left the company. The portal locks up providers loose information and feel frustrated compared to other EHR systems they use at other facilities. I hope they improve because I honestly do not want to change again.

Worst EMR I've ever seen
Never "solved" any issues with Power2Practice. They spend a lot of money marketing and advertising when they should spend it revamping the operating platform.
Pros
Able to send custom prescriptions and compounds somewhat easily. There was an emphasis on functional/integrative medicine so that was attractive.
Cons
I've haven't used this system for a little over a year so I can't remember everything I hated about it. However, this was the WORST EMR I've ever used. I'be used approximately 20 different EMRs through working in the Military, hospital based clinic, private clinic, and ER and I've never seen a less efficient, more frustrating system. This EMR slowed me down more than any other program I've used. I would wholeheartedly recommend looking elsewhere for another EMR, any other EMR!

Disappointing start and finish
This was an exciting idea, but when patients only had 48 hours to access their emails , if they received their emails at all, then they came to appointments without information which made for longer visits with handwritten documents. Using the charting was great, but if you needed to take a patient history you had to make your own templates. Using the exam templates were very good. Sending prescriptions was difficult. Compounded prescriptions had to be done differently than regular prescriptions and so a call to the pharmacy was often necessary. In the end, things never got fixed and now what few EMR were on Power2Practice are not accessible to me. Customer service tried very hard, but the errors were never ironed out and it took longer to use the product than hand written notes and histories. There is a good selection of supplements to click and add to charts, but really was difficult to chart adequately. Perhaps with more time....but I don't have that.
Pros
The physical exam templates and the supplement directory.
The patient history form was great...however, patients rarely filled them out because they couldn't access them correctly or they were not sent.
Cons
* The inability to get information from patients
* The lack of a chief complaint page
* The difficulty prescribing and need for followup
* The lack of communication from this group
* The cost over time is cost prohibitive.
Response from Power2Practice
We are sorry to hear your experience was not in alignment with the world class standards we strive for. We understand new platforms can be challenging, which is why we require the 4 to 6 1 hour training sessions to be sure you are comfortable. Additionally, we offer workflow sessions, and multiple question and answer sessions with your dedicated implementation resource once you are live with the application. When a client goes through only 2, 2 hour sessions, we find that it is not as comprehensive of training and is probably one reason why things did not go as you had hoped. Good news is that we ARE working on getting better systems in place for the patient emails and will continue to find better solutions for practices like yours in New York that are required to use the e-prescribing option. We do value and appreciate your time, effort and feedback!!

Useless EHR for Functional Medicine Family Practice
Very poor. We are having to start over and find an EHR that isn’t missing major components for good documentation.
Pros
Fullscript integration is nice.. but available in other EHR’s.
Cons
Worst sales, training and customer service support we’ve ever experienced. 100% lied by omission and sold us an EHR with no pediatric or women’s health capability. We open Monday and have a useless piece of junk EHR for a family practice. It will take a while to find something else. These liars cost us a lot of time, money, and an extremely hard start up. Buyer beware, don’t trust anything they tell you... I can guarantee they won’t return your calls once you realize how awful this program is.
