Mobile authenticator user review
For me I can describe my experience with the mobile authentication app as very convenient for the security of my work computer since I have my phone at all time and my phone also has a password so that adds another wall of security for my companies sensitive information.
Pros
Duo security mobile app is very convenient since i am working from home and have my phone on me all the time and it is very easy to use the mobile app you just need to open the app and it will show you the one time code for my computer login. And you can also refresh the code anytime if you get it wrong.
Cons
For my use it is very convenient and I have not yet got in to anyproblem using the mobile authenticator.

Security to fill a gap, but not comprehensive offering
Duo Security is a strong SaaS product to fill the very specific infrastructure gap of 2-factor authentication for infrastructure.
Pros
Duo Security is a great product to fill a very specific gap in infrastructure security, specifically for SSH management. For requirements for 2-factor authentication for SSH, Duo is quick to implement
Cons
Duo is difficult to enroll users with, which creates a significantly higher administrative overhead than other options. There are also significantly more delays in the Duo pushed-based notification systems (depending on the user and their network, etc.), which can cause issues for users authenticating.

Google WorkspaceReasons for Switching to Duo Security
G Suite SAML login was more difficult to implement in very specific situations than simply purchasing Duo. In the future, the goal is to move to a more BeyondCorp style model where each specific application can use SAML and not rely on Duo- Industry: Financial Services

If DUO doesn't work, expect your company to be shut down for an unknown amount of time
I was solving authentication, I will be investigating switching to another MFA solution as soon as possible.
Pros
Our company switched Managed Service Providers, and we used DUO. When we switched over, DUO authentication stopped working. We had multiple users who DUO simply stopped working for. We and our MSP were unable to contact DUO support after multiple hours. I did get through to a person who put the phone down and appeared to be watching a video on YouTube in the background for about 10 minutes and then hung up on me. This had a serious negative impact on our business and I'm surprised that we were unable to get anyone to assist at all with such a business critical feature.
Cons
That when support is needed you can spend multiple hours on hold without any assistance. When someone does actually pick up the pick up the phone and place it on their desk and do not actually answer the call.

Duo Security Review
Pros
One thing I really like about Duo Security is that you can secure many things with the app. I mainly use it to log into anything that's school related, but there can another layer of security for other things like social media accounts.
Cons
One thing I don't like about Duo Security is how often it tells me to redo the two factor authentication. I get the importance, but it's so annoying when you're in a rush and you see that you need to log in to the Duo Security app to continue. It's even more frustrating when it refuses to connect at times.

Reliable and Fast
Very positive, it always functions the way I expect.
Pros
The mobile app makes MFA less of a pain by speeding up the process by being able to select "approve" rather than receiving SMS codes to tediously type into a website
Cons
Can't think of any negatives, it functions fast and exactly how I need it to.

The best tool for MFA
Pros
Duo provides a layer of protection that companies need to keep their employees protected. Strong passwords alone are not enough to keep social engineering attacks and credential harvesting schemes at bay. This is why Duo is the product companies need in order to keep themselves protected.
Cons
Sometimes setup can be laborious. Users may have a difficult time with adoption, especially those who are resistant to change.

Great program for security
Overall great. Easy to use. Quick verification. Like the test or call option.
Pros
Easy to use. Love the access to this on my phone. Provides great security measures to avoid unauthorized log in.
Cons
Requires multiple log in pushes when changed from different applications within the same program. One verification per program would be nice.

Best For MFA
Duo was an easy transition into the MFA world for external access to our internal systems.
Pros
It can integrate seamlessly with all platforms and apps of our organization. Easy to install, use, track, and recover from lost or damaged phones. It has push notifications and also alternate access via text or call.
Cons
Sometimes it takes a couple of times to sign in to a network.Sometimes due to poor data access on the end user part, a push notification doesn't come up although data is available, Which leads to a timeout. A little bit difficult in the initial configuration.

Security made easy!
Pros
It's an app that I have on my phone and so easy to use. I use it for work when I have to work remote at home. Whatever I am trying to get into as far as work accounts, its trigger's my duo app to make sure I am the actual user. All I have to do is hit accept in the duo app and I am logged into whatever work feature I am trying to use remotely. It's safe and protects confidentially.
Cons
The only thing I forget is that if you get a new phone, you have to re download the app and re-register your duo account with your IT department at work. It's easy to do, but It's not something I think of until I try getting in and can't.

The right multi-factor authentication solution
Pros
As a result of the type of company we run, it is vital to incorporate multi factor authentication. The setup is easy, the platform works most of the time and the customer service is amazing as well.
Cons

Simple, but Necessary
I believe that it is good. It does the job which is the important thing.
Pros
The most important thing about duo security is the fact that it works and it is necessary. It is always important to be secure with sensitive accounts and information and the 2FA factors make it a breeze to use
Cons
The fact that sometimes it is quite annoying to open and use 2FA. I wish there was a way that the device would remember or there was a way to lessen the security for familiarity based on IP

Duo Review
Overall Dou mobile does a great job at storing access codes and having easy access to them.
Pros
The product is very simple and easy to use. After the one-time setup to any 2fa-enabled website or application, you only copy the access code and you're in. The implementation with Canvas, which Oregon State University requires, is seamless. After inserting the university's login information, a notification is sent to the device of preference. You only have to click a button and you're in. This one-click access is dependent to applications that support it, otherwise a copied code is required.
Cons
For mobile application: The only concern is the application doe not have the ability to enable lock, such as FaceID or fingerprint. Therefore, other individuals could access those codes if the phone is unlocked.

A simple solution that works
Duo Security performs as it claims and works well. It's simple, and I don't have to think when using it, which is great.
Pros
I like the convenience factor most. Some two-factor authentication solutions take some time (entering a code, etc.), but I love how Duo has an Apple Watch widget that allows me to make a single click to authenticate. I also appreciate the simplicity of the UI. I also like the QR code pairing that some sites have to set up the Duo config. It's quick and easy.
Cons
I have no complaints, so it's difficult to write about what I like least. If I were forced to make a suggestion, it would be to make the mobile app more visually appealing.

Duo Security is Duo Thumbs Up!
Overall, I can confidently navigate the digital landscape with Duo Push Login, knowing my information is secure. Their real-time verification gives me confidence in the protection of my online accounts.
Pros
Using Duo Push Login has been a game-changer for enhancing my online security and providing peace of mind—there is versatility and compatibility across various platforms and devices. The flexibility it offers makes it convenient for both personal and professional use.
Cons
Duo Push Login relies on having a compatible mobile device and an active internet connection. If I misplace or lose my device, or if it runs out of battery, I may need help accessing my accounts or be unable to access them all together.

Great Security
Never had any problems with Duo. I broke my phone once and couldn't authenticate myself to get into any important accounts since it was all tied to my phone only. Duo allowed me to get into my accounts that day fairly easily by giving me temporary backup codes until my phone was fixed.
Pros
Duo is simple to use, user friendly, and does all that is needed for authentication. I work with multiple large organizations that have chosen to use it for their employees. It is easy to pair duo with new organizations as well.
Cons
So many authentication apps exist, that it is hard to distinguish between them. Duo works great, but so does basically every other authentication method in the app store.
