PayChex is one of the best and easiest payroll programs
Payroll processing is tedious and time-consuming, but PayChex simplifies things significantly. Having a professional create and update the guidebook for you is also a huge assistance.
Pros
Payroll processing for my business can be done whenever I want, the interface is intuitive, and all employees have access to their own data for purposes of audits and tax filings. The time I used to spend on payroll and tax preparation is now mine. I was relieved to have access to Paychex reports when a PPP opportunity presented itself.
Cons
They're doing their best to improve the system, but in the meanwhile, it can be inconvenient to use while they work on it.

Paychex Flex Review
I feel like it is a slow going transition to Paychex. The system isn't totally user friendly, you need training to use it. They made promises that they have not kept yet. Still working on it.
Pros
I like the app that the employees use to log in their time. Clock in/clock out and that is shows me the location when they punch in/out.
Cons
I am unable to pull a report showing the punch times and locations. Their report shows coordinates of their location, totally useless.

Poor Experience - do not recommend
Unfortunately I spent a year with Paychex and really wanted to have a good experience but the software is not intuitive, clunky. Additionally the staff made many errors which required dozens of hours of emails and phone calls over 4-5 months to correct.
Pros
They paid my payroll and taxes onetime, unfortunately made many many errors that required months to correct.
Cons
You are assigned an account advisor that you are never able to contact directly and must play voice-tag when you have questions. When I am calling, I am spending the time to get an immediate answer and the process gets dragged out much longer than necessary. If you want an immediate answer, you are then put on hold to speak to the next available agent. Since they are not as familiar with your account, in my opinion, there is a higher risk that you will receive an incorrect answer which happened to me on multiple occasions which made undoing the correction even worse.
Additionally, sometime the user may need to speak with a Payroll Specialist and othertimes a Time & Attendance specialist. Unfortunately, many issues that arise require evaluation in both of these areas [say a staff member does not get credited appropriately for time off, etc] and one specialist cannot see what the other one sees.

DO NOT buy Paychex
The only way I can describe our experience would be to tell anyone vetting this system to RUN. There are so many better options out there and I would gladly tell anyone looking to go with Paychex to look in absolutely any other direction. I try to find redeeming qualities, but I just can't with this system. The system is cumbersome and dated, the customer service is a nightmare and it is impossible to keep track of all of the different points of contact they give you, they don't even know who does what within the organization, and you will work harder to just manage the relationship than you will to manage your people.
Pros
I can't think of a thing I liked or would recommend about Paychex Flex.
Cons
Everything really. If I were to pick one thing, I would say that the disparate systems within systems is very convoluted and causes significant issues with reporting and maintenance of employee records. Every piece of the system (time and attendance, benefit admin, etc.) comes with a different "bolt-on" platform and service team. This caused immense issues and pain points throughout the entire employee life cycle. We are still unwinding all of the issues caused by our partnership with Paychex and left the platform four months ago. They are also terrible at ensuring timely and appropriate tax filings on our behalf.

Paychex overall is good
Pretty good. Love having payroll taxes & workers comp taken out weekly. Love having everything in one place. They need to streamline the day to day process though.
Pros
That we can have time clock & payroll in the same place.
Cons
The app lags extremly bad. On the desk top version, it's very cumbersome to get around and do things. way too many steps to process time cards etc.

When it works, it's great!
For the majority of people that used it, it was a headache. The ease of use for accounting and HR was not worth the time spent having to correct punches.
Pros
The ease of use on the HR side. It was very easy to export and send payroll to our accountant.
Cons
The difficulty of use by employees. It was semi-easy to navigate and request time off, but the app takes up to five minutes to load before they can clock in or out. This led to impatience which led to a ton of missed punches.

Decent for a smaller non-profit
Paychex is great for a smaller non-profit organization but when getting past a certain amount of staff it can become hard to make changes to timecards when there are many errors
Pros
The system was decent to use for payroll services.
Cons
It was not the easiest to use. Decent if this is what you can afford, but not the easiest to use.

Sr Payroll Manager
Over all I like Paychex because it very user friendly and simple. there isn't a lot of complex configurations
Pros
Simple processing. The platform is more for lower volume companies. Not really intuitive but very user friendly
Cons
Customer service. The reps are not very helpful at times because to retain the knowledge and skills necessary to address complex issues or system config questions.

This is my 1st time working with PAYCHEX so I’m learning something new everyday. Overall I would describe my experience as FAIR. I need to spend more time learning about the system, take more trainings to be able to make PAYCHEX work for me to be more efficient and effective for me

Cons

Really enjoyed this payment management software compared to others I have used. Easy to use, clear presentation of information and updated interface.

Paychex Flex is worth the cost!
We have been using it for quite a few years now I took over as Director in 2019 and have been using it myself since then. We use it to pay our staff and have never had any issues with they make sure to always let us know when we need to run it early due to holidays closures from the bank.
Pros
I like that Paychex flex allows multiple users to log in and work on payroll to allow for each person in each department to enter there staff hours.
Cons
There customer service isn't the best there are times it is hard to get ahold of our customer service representative and the representatives seem to have a high turn over rate.

Paychex review
Pros
I liked how the website was laid out. I also like how easy the hiring tab was to use. I really liked how everyone's PTO was on one calendar that administrators could see.
Cons
I did not like how if an employee used Paychex with a previous employer, it was very difficult to add them and separate the profiles.

Great time tracking software
Employees immediately appreciated the ease of clocking in and out using the Time Clock. With features like biometric login and mobile app integration, employees could quickly clock in from anywhere, at their desks, on the job site, or working remotely. This flexibility significantly improved the accuracy of time tracking, as employees no longer had to rely on remembering to clock in manually.
Pros
The customer service when we need guidance on using the software or need assistance with any errors that need correcting.
Cons
Sometimes it is not clear or seems impossible to correct time-clock errors efficiently.

My Experience with Paychex Flex: Handy but not Perfect.
My overall experience has been good not much great it really help me I can do multiple work with it like handling my tax or time off requests and it has limited customization which is very concerning I wish I could customize dashboard more as per my need.
Pros
I like how easy its interface is very straightforward and user friendly. I can easily find any detail regarding paycheck or other benefits information also I love the mobile app its really a game changer. I can do my work even if I am not my desktop.
Cons
What I dislike about Paychex Flex is that sometime it does not load properly or its get slow which is irritating when I am in hurry also it literally bombarded me with notification which cause sometime I miss important notification.

Good choice for payroll and HR management
This was the program used at a business where I was a senior manager. I used both sides of the service and never felt like it was difficult to use.
Pros
This HR/payroll tool is easy to use for both the HR team and the users. It's very intuitive. Employees can easily update their own banking information and access their pto and pay stubs easily. It's also easy for office staff to make updates.
Cons
Like so many office software programs, there are many opportunities to add services which really brings the price up. It costs more for training and benefit administration, and for time tracking. Make sure you look at the whole cost before you switch to it.

Paychex Flex as easy as 1,2,3!
I have been using Paychex as the manager of a very busy salon. The Paychex Flex app and site is so easy. Adding new employees is a breeze-and it allows the employee to be part of the process eliminating any mistakes. I can check it, review messages and act even if not at the salon. The Team at Paychex is amazing-always helpful and accommodating.
Pros

Paychex Flex is clean and intuitive.
Paychex Flex is a convenient and functional solution for both employers and employees. While it has room for improvement, it's still a solid choice for companies looking to streamline HR and payroll processes.
Pros
One of the standout features is the ability to view and manage payroll on the go. I can quickly check pay stubs, tax information, and even benefits, all in one place. It's also great for employees who need to clock in or out remotely to review their schedules. The flexibility to access this information at any time is a real plus.
Cons
The app can be slow to load at times. It also lacks few customization option that would make it more user-friendly, like the ability to set custom notifications or personalize the dashboard.

Provided through my previous employer!
Content with the services it provided to me at that time, which was through my previous employer. Used about 1.6 years! (1y, 6m)
Pros
Only used until upgraded to different provider/platform altogether!
Cons
I never had a problem with this software, honestly. ESPECIALLY compared to some/other providers of the same functions/purpose.
