Excellent Document Management System
Overall, my experiences with MS SharePoint have been very positive. I've found, over the course of creating SharePoint sites for many projects, that taking the time to identify and understand exactly what each component of the site needs to do and how users will interact with the components is worth the time it takes to do it. You can use that information to make your document library on a site, for example, as user-friendly and functional as possible.
Pros
I love the versatility of MS SharePoint. The product can be configured in so many different ways. Each site you create in SharePoint can be totally different from the last one you created.
Cons
When you start working with a large volume of documents in a SharePoint library, the system can become rather slow and clunky which is frustrating.

Great for Document Collaboration, Frustrating for Intranet Management
I'm glad we're all packaged together in one software. I just wish both the admin UI and the frontend UI for staff was more user friendly, less difficult to edit.
Pros
I like the simplicity of file storage and sharing. I love how easy it is to edit Powerpoint and Word documents. We've built our Intranet on top of Sharepoint and I do love that we were able to use a plugin to get it to a good place and be able to use audiences.
Cons
Sharepoint's built in intranet is lacking as far as simple UI. Box has a significantly better UI and the admin side of things is much easier to navigate. I feel like I'm walking through tunnels under NYC trying to find the right spot to edit something. Box also made it simple to add searchable metadata which is lacking in Sharepoint.
Reasons for Choosing Microsoft SharePoint
We were already a Microsoft org and it seemed silly and less secure to be across multiple tools for file storage, sharing, collaboration.Reasons for Switching to Microsoft SharePoint

There are better options!
Not very good. I used to use Google Suite apps and then we switched to Sharepoint because of company decisions, but it the change has been awful, everybody hates it. I do not recommend it.
Pros
I like that you can use Microsoft Desktop Apps or Cloud apps to work on projects.
Cons
It is not intuitive at all, I lose my documents very often because I think I know where I saved them but then they aren't there. It is a very confusing software and the webapps are horrible.

Easy website creation with some lacking customizability
We have used Sharepoint to create an "Intranet" within our organization hosting pages for individual teams, and the company as a whole.
Pros
Share point offers a quick and user friendly way for an organization to start using online communication and data sharing.
Cons
In order to allow for the user-friendly aspects, you use a bit of the flexibility and control you may get with a more custom solution.

Good all-round tool for Intranet and collaboration
The product is a great tool for sharing of documents, and getting people to collaborate. It's also perfect for a cheap intranet which we use in the school for staff and students.
Pros
As SharePoint is included with an M365 license it is great value for what you can get out of it. Perfect for simple Excel-like lists, and document management.
Cons
It has been made to be more simple in terms of editing pages etc. so Microsoft can (and do) update it more often without breaking your own bespoke solutions.

Syncing of information and sharing
Pros
All documents are accessible regardless of the computer I am using in the office. Also all documents are secure as not all have access to them. I am able to share documents to my colleagues on the same network without having to email them.
Cons
Sometimes have difficulty opening the application but this depends on internet connectivity. So cannot be used offline.

MS SharePoint - great tool for collaboration and file sharing
Overall, I have been using MS SharePoint for almost three years now and managed to create multiple team spaces for our company were we share all sorts of files, from learing materials to work schedules and different file types that are changed on hourly basis by our retail employees. I am using SharePoint as a tool to minimize the uneccessary e-mail and to distribute documents, information and data with over 70 people in our department. I find it really usefull and
Pros
MS Sharepoint offers a quick solution for team file sharing and minimizing e-mails. I like the fact that multiple users can use and edit files that are uploaded into sharepoint team place. The interface is fast and simple and can be used by users of all skill levels.
The automatization is simple but could be a bit more extensive (without Power Automate).
The depth of permissions is great since you can do alot with just one team space (some users can see all, some can edit, some can just read while some don't even see specific parts of the teams space).
Cons
I disliked the fact that is is limited in term of page design and you don't have complete freedom in term of designing the sections of the page regarding the design you chose.
The document library and site permissions can be a little tricky while the access sharing and its modifications can be a bit unstable and not always work at first.

Easy to use collaborative file sharing platform
I still love the platform. It's relatively easy to use the Graph API to open an Excel spreadsheet to pull data without opening the spreadsheet assuming it is the right format. The platform is relatively defect free. From time to time, you need to force reindex of your objects
Pros
For document store and creating pages and portals, there's no simpler platform to use.
Cons
The permissioning system has some antiquated rough edges. There's no page that tells you exactly what the user has access to. These are some basic things that really tooted me the wrong way. It's a mature product, but it lacks some steps in the lifecycle management of data.

A Great Collaboration Tool!
I think Microsoft Sharepoint is a a great collaborative tool for teams to use in our organization and I have found it to great way to upload photos, forms, and documents to share with colleagues. I also like that you can store documents, excel sheets, and powerpoint presentations and edit in real time.
Pros
I like that Microsoft Sharepoint is easy to navigate, and it's easy to create folders and new file destinations. I also like how you can move files and upload them easily, and generate links to share inside and outside of your organization. With our organization being almost completely remote, Sharepoint makes collaboration easy with all of its collaboration tools.
Cons
I don't like that sometimes Sharepoint can experience unexpected outages, and Sharepoint forms can be clunky and slow to load.

The most effective tool for collaboration.
My experience with Microsoft SharePoint has been largely favourable, especially regarding its robust capabilities for collaboration and document management.
Pros
One of the aspects I appreciate most about Microsoft SharePoint is its capacity to enable smooth collaboration and effective document management among teams and organizations.
Cons
One of the aspects I find most challenging about Microsoft SharePoint is its complexity for new users who may not be acquainted with its interface or functionalities.

All Around Content Tool for Business
Pros
Everyone knows how to use it and there are tons of functions in place.
Basic users can advance via power automate or develop their workspaces enough to optimize productivity.
Cons
It is clunky and loads a lot of directories within a single path making it hard to travel between spaces.
External connections are buggy and users do not see updates sometimes.

Sharepoint for Multiple Client Data
My overall experience with Sharepoint is positive. We use it to update APD client information for AL. It helps track behaviors, meds, and medical appointment data.
Pros
I liked being able to update each clients information for quick access to it. I also like that a team can sign in and update accordingly. Being able to transfer data from Sharepoint to Excel for behavior graphing is great
Cons
Sometimes I had to reload the landing page to acess sub menus.

SharePoint - Workhorse of File Storage
Implementing SharePoint for our 400+ users was a smooth process. Our users love it compared to the old file shares. We save time and therefore money by keeping everything in one spot all accessible from our O365 apps.
Pros
We use SharePoint across 400+ users and have very few issues at all. It gives the user full control on sharing, version restore and use.
Cons
At times there have been a few files that were updated offline and do not sync automatically requiring manual intervention. Especially with offline folders when in different time zones.

Simple and easy to use but lacking advanced customization
Overall Sharepoint is ok, it works, it's simple to use even for less tech savvy people and integrates with all Microsoft products but honestly I feel it's lacking and needs more features.
Pros
Microsoft SharePoint provides an easy out of the box solution for internal portals to share within your organization. If you are in Microsoft's eco system which most organizations are then it's easy to seamlessly integrate Sharepoint with everything else, share news, files, etc. in one place.
Cons
Customization level of Sharepoint is very lacking, as a web developer I wish there was more advanced options to customize the design, feel, look of your Sharepoint pages but it is fairly limited unfortunately.

Microsoft SharePoint for government
I have used Microsoft SharePoint for multiple years and it has enhanced our organizations productivity. It has made it easier to collaborate, share files, and organize pertinent information for our staff.
Pros
How easy it is to create SharePoint sites. Prior to SharePoint, our intranet was managed by our IT department. This created challenges when you needed to update or change things on the site. Moving our Intranet to SharePoint gave us the ability to manage our intranet ourselves. It is very easy to create SharePoint sites and manage them. You don't need to know how to code websites.
Cons
There really isn't anything to dislike about SharePoint. It is a great product for any business.

Sharepoint not as pretty but can do it all
Pros
Industry leading file management with an endless variety of integration options in the Microsoft 365 suite, most notably Teams. With IT expertise, many features to enhance file sharing, security, integrations, APIs, data protection, and efficient workflows.
Cons
The interface still looks a bit dated, compared to other solutions like Box or Dropbox. Microsoft should consider updating the look/feel to make many of the powerful features more obvious to the average user.
