## Reviews

### "Microsoft azure" — 3.0/5

> **Sharnelle** | *15 August 2026* | Marketing & Advertising | Recommendation rating: 6.0/10
>
> **Pros**: It had many different features in which to customize and personalize. Great for large, specific projects.
>
> **Cons**: Still the same as before, the pricing tier is a bit confusing on how to set up and overall navigate.

### "A natural cloud extension to the Microsoft stack" — 4.0/5

> **connor** | *16 April 2026* | Media Production | Recommendation rating: 6.0/10
>
> **Pros**: Azure fits comfortably into environments that are already ebedded into the Microsoft ecosystem, with Active Directory etc - especially through Entra and hybrid setups. It allows easier extension to existing authentication and permissions, and policies can be remodeled into the cloud rather than recreating entirely from scratch. As a cloud provider it is quite mature and broad, so once the foundations are in place it can cover the vast majority of infrastructure needs within their ecosystem.
>
> **Cons**: Azure can often feel like an extension of the on-premise microsoft stack rather than a standalone addition, which in some cases is good but in others restrictive. If you are used to ADDS on-prem, many features and interactions will feel familiar, but added cloud services and policy layers, joined with pricing models, can add a lot of extra complexity.
>
> Overall, Azure is at its strongest when integrated alongside existing Microsoft infrastructure. Its similarities to Active Directory provide a real advantage for organisations that already leverage or are familiar with microsoft tools, helping to soften any move towards cloud operations. With that in mind however, as with all of the major cloud providers, its ecosystem is vast and easy to mismanage if you don't keep a strict eye on resource cost and configurations.

### "Great to use." — 5.0/5

> **Anonymous User** | *9 August 2026* | Insurance | Recommendation rating: 9.0/10
>
> **Pros**: Easy for cloud migration and it's used by many big companies so I can learn a lot of experience for the future.
>
> **Cons**: It's hard to get into and the updates are very frequent but it's understandable. I don't have too many opinions.

### "Azure review" — 3.0/5

> **Verified Reviewer** | *13 March 2026* | Computer & Network Security | Recommendation rating: 6.0/10
>
> **Pros**: Extremely powerful and flexible cloud platform. Strong security and infrastructure options and scales well for complex or enterprise‑level environments. Integrates well with other Microsoft products.
>
> **Cons**: Pricing is complex and can escalate quickly, making budgeting difficult. Frequent platform changes increase the administrative burden thus requires significant technical expertise to manage properly. Overkill for organizations that don’t need enterprise‑level cloud services.
>
> Microsoft Azure is a very powerful cloud platform, but it was more than we needed and became difficult and expensive to manage over time. We ultimately moved off Azure to a private hosting cloud solution because costs were hard to predict and the platform changed frequently, making administration challenging.

### "Title: Powerful platform, but plan for a real learning curve" — 4.0/5

> **Blake** | *9 June 2026* | Retail | Recommendation rating: 8.0/10
>
> **Pros**: The integration with Microsoft 365 and Azure Active Directory has been the biggest win for us. Managing user identities, conditional access policies, and device enrollment all from one portal has made life a lot easier from an IT standpoint. Once everything is configured correctly, it's pretty reliable, and having cloud-based identity management means we're not dependent on an on-prem domain controller for everything. For a nonprofit organization, it's been a solid foundation to build our endpoint management on.
>
> **Cons**: The learning curve is steep and the Azure portal has a habit of moving things around or renaming features without much warning. More than once I've gone looking for something and had to re-learn where it lives. Token caching and SSO behavior on shared workstations has also caused some headaches that took a while to dig into and weren't well documented. Support resources are extensive but actually getting useful help for specific edge case issues can feel like searching for a needle in a haystack.
>
> ai insights icon
chrome icon
google docs icon
Azure is one of those platforms where the depth of what it can do is both its biggest strength and its biggest challenge. There's almost nothing it can't handle, but getting it configured just right takes real time and patience. For our IT team it's become a core part of how we manage users and devices across the organization, and for the most part it delivers. Just expect to spend some quality time in documentation and community forums before everything clicks.
