Fusion Ops

My overall experience with Fusion operations has been a very positive one, i cant describe enough how well the fusion team have helped us through the years! i have enjoyed working with [sensitive content hidden] and meeting with him on a fortnightly basis to discuss any issues, improvements and suggestions we have.

Pros

while working with Fusion operations i have found the following to be super easy to use and user friendly. The software is a nice and easy software to use all allows all the shop floor to easily log on, insert production, downtime etc. this has also allowed us to incorporate quality check sheets into the products to get full traceability of quality checks all contained on the production order.

Cons

I would say the thing i have liked the least was the lack of communication with updates and often caused us problems in production where it would change something with the process.

Response from Autodesk

Thank you James for providing feedback on Fusion Operations, we are happy to see it is matching your expectations and helping you with your everyday tasks. Regarding the communication of updates, we have been reinforcing our internal processes to ensure that any changes which may have an impact are communicated in advance, either by our Support team or through your dedicated Customer Success Manager. We have also recently rolled out a "Release Notes" page, where all changes, new features and improvements to our product are listed and explained. We hope these actions help improve communication in the future.

Honest Feedback

My customer service rep ( [sensitive content hidden]) is top notch. he listens to everything that I need and tries to get me where I need to be. At times though we cannot get what we need just because the engineering department is not looking to make those specific changes even though the request [sensitive content hidden] is making would benefit all of Fusions customers.

Pros

Inventory utilization is easy to use when entering, but this process can still be improved. it is very easy to enter inventory on the wrong press. The system should be able to scan the product number on the label as a verification to make sure inventory is put in correct product code. This needs to be dummy proof to make it give me 100% confidence in what is scanned into system.

Cons

labels. you have to make production orders just to print labels even when product is in inventory. this makes to where I have to go in and manually remove the production orders so production does not try to either make the product or use the wrong production order when a new order is created.
Also, Fusion is advertised as a manufacturing software, however on all the work instruction demos it has examples of all bakery's making cakes. I would recommend changing to manufacturing so people can see how the system would best suit their needs.

Response from Autodesk

Thank you for your honest feedback. We are pleased to hear that our Customer Service team is meeting your expectations. While all customer feedback is collected, reviewed, and taken into consideration as we grow the capabilities of Fusion Operations, we prioritize the improvements that bring the most benefit to our customers overall. We value your continued input as it helps us to grow and build the best solutions to meet your business needs.
Regarding your suggestion on moving inventory with the use of a label, this is indeed possible with Fusion Operations. Your Customer Success Manager will discuss this further with you in your next meeting.
In our Help Center, we often use simple examples to illustrate the logic being used in Fusion Operations, so that our customers can adapt it to a diverse range of industries with varying production environments. However, you make a great point - we will review your feedback with our team and consider changing our approach in the future.
Thanks

Unmatched in their dedication to their customer's success

Overall, my 3.5 yrs experience with Fusion Operations has been great and I am glad I made the choice when I did. Their customer success team is dedicated to solving your unique needs.

Pros

I love how easy it is to filter and find historical inventory and production data. If you are familiar with filtering tables in excel you will enjoy working in this system. I also really appreciate how easy it is to import and export from excel. The inclusion of production floor worker input is very nice to see in a product at this price point.

Cons

The only thing needed to perfect this product is either a direct addition of full accounting features (it already has great costing and valuation features) or a sister accounting software that was built around perfect integration with the production/inventory side.

Fusion for our Future

I think the product is great and the support/service that comes with it is even greater.

Pros

The low overhead and speed with which we could implement and begin capturing data about our production performance, stood out in my experience. The customer success manager we worked with, and that model for support is amazing for us. The live chat support was also amazing.

Cons

There are some features that did not quite align with the needs of our production operations, and we had to do some work arounds. There are still some small limitations in flexibility which we would like improved.

Fusion Operations

Overall I am extremely happy with Fusion. My only gripe would be the Autodesk roadmap does not give us as much freedom as when it was Prodsmart with updating our improvements that we have tried to update.

Pros

My experience with Fusion both in the back office and shop floor users is very easy to use, operators can move between all screens within Fusion with no fuss. Big displays especially when welding operators are using tablets to use Fusion

Cons

From the back office the reporting side is probably my least favourite, I am always deleting unwanted words/figures that are not needed for excel exporting.

Fusion Operations

Overall a good experience, it’s the combination of simplicity, efficiency, and the ability to make data-driven decisions quickly that stands out to me. It’s not just software—it feels like a comprehensive operations partner.

Pros

What I like most about Fusion Operations is its real-time production tracking and the level of visibility it provides across the entire manufacturing process. The platform’s dashboards are incredibly intuitive, allowing you to monitor everything—orders, workers, machines, materials, and even costs—in one place.

Cons

While the platform is feature-rich, some advanced analytics or integrations with niche third-party tools might not be as seamless or readily available. However, to be fair, those requirements are very specific to our business needs and might not apply to most users.

Prodsmart Excellence

The support team has been committed to our implementation success and they have provided continual support through weekly project meetings, documentation and simulations. A visit to our manufacturing facility was much appreciated and we believe it helped to clarify our day-to-day challenges so that lasting solutions could be developed. Overall, we are very satisfied with the manufacturing execution system and the support.

Pros

Prodsmart is intuitive and flexible to fit many different situations. Product traceability is a strength. Information in the data base is easily retrievable and mobile solutions are very useful.

Cons

We can't say that we have any misgivings about the software. Our team has found Prodsmart to be a very flexible system and there are many ways to set up the data base to support different types of workflows. You must be prepared to define your workflows and your needs and make sure the system is set up in support of those. Finally, ensure that users are trained in the proper use of the system and data collection.

Production management made easy. Almost as good as a custom made software.

In a manufacturing business that has to rely mostly on manual tasks, finding a software able fit our variable reality, in terms of processes and people, and still provide pertinent accurate real time data, is a huge challenge.
The goals, when choosing a Production management software were clear: integrate processes and data into a digital software, reduce paper consumption by reducing manual reporting data, and improve real time decision making, using real time data.
The biggest difference between Prodsmart and other production management softwares, is that in order to improve our standards and ability to control our manufacturing plant, there was no need to make big adjustments or changes in our process. The software was able to adjust to us. Not the other way around.
Without having to invest in automation machinery.
A cost effective choice, suitable for the all kinds of manufacturing plants.

Pros

This is an extremely intuitive software, easy to implement, with little latitude for operator's error.
Flexible and user friendly.
The most important and appealing of all, is the fact there is a very proactive backoffice and technical support team, ready to design and adjust all kinds of features to our own plant's reality.

Cons

Still some improvement to be made in regards to overall Quality Management analysis.

Response from Autodesk

Hello!
Thank you for your review!
We are very proud of the flexibility of our solution, which allows Prodsmart to be suitable to all kinds of manufacturing businesses!

Prodsmart is very versatile

It’s been great. [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] was a great help during the trial and gave us enough understanding of the system to believe it could work, and [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] has done an excellent job of understanding our process and finding a way to fit it within the system. [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] has worked very well with our team here, and I’m happy that we have him as a resource to help us make this software a success.

Pros

Versatility – there are many ways the information can be organized to make it fit our process, so I don’t need to change much about our process to conform to the system

Cons

It was relatively easy to learn the nuances of products, BOM, operations, but I still don’t have a understanding of the data relationships between production orders, sales orders, shippings, lot numbers, and material staging. A high-level data relationship map showing the whole system would help.

Prodsmart Review

A very progressive and forward thinking company that (unlike many ERP software companies “our way is always right” approach) actually welcomes feedback from their customers and honestly looks to make improvements and changes based on that feedback.

Pros

The outstanding customer support as well as the adaptability, and the willingness to sometimes modify certain components of the software according to the customer’s need.

Cons

Not a whole lot to hate about this software as so much is adapted to suit the customers needs. Stability issues here and there, but that is to be expected with almost any software.
