Great Remote Assist Tool With Powerful Features
Overall, I like it and I would recommend it.
Pros
I like that it’s easy to install, the UI is decent and technical. There are tons of features and more than 1 way to do things. Being able to go “backstage” and run commands, manage data, change settings, etc.
Cons
It was a little buggy sometimes but all software has bugs. There are times I wanted features to work or be implemented like remote printing, separate displays into different windows, record a single screen at a time if there are multiple monitors.

THE perfect alternative to Anydesk or TeamViewer.
Great app, super easy to deploy. We had some follow up emails from our trial from someone at ConnectWise to check in which was a nice touch, and the whole process from start to finish was really really smooth.
Pros
ScreenConnect is incredible. The process of deploying to various endpoints is super easy via Intune - just build the app from the admin portal and deploy the MSI file. Being able to disable guest input is super handy when providing remote support to users who continue working whilst you're trying to make a fix.
Cons
The admin panel isn't the clearest - turning off features like the desktop preview images should be far easier, we had to do some Googling to find out how to do it as it feels like an invasion of privacy.

AnyDeskReasons for Choosing ConnectWise ScreenConnect
Teamviewer became horrifically expensive when managing over 500 devices, to add an extra 500 was horrendous and they would only allow this if we renewed our contract for an additional 2 years. Managing the install via Intune of Teamviewer has become a massive chore too - some devices for some reason fail to load the app which is annoying when trying to remotely manage and support users.Switched From
TeamViewer RemoteReasons for Switching to ConnectWise ScreenConnect
AnyDesk is great, however the ability to build your own app for your environment is the worst experience we've ever had. The build tool is slow, seems to forget half of the options you'd selected and unattended access was painful. I don't know who at AnyDesk signed off on the tool, but it needs to be removed.- Industry: Information Technology & Services

10/10 Remote Access Software!
I use this software to manage thousands of computers/servers everyday and it is made a breeze with ConnectWise ScreenConnect. The backstage features allow me to set off commands and install software without the user being stopped from working and I can also send them messages if required. A lot of the time, there are network dropouts and this software makes it easy to check out if this has happened on a surface level, so also very handy!
Pros
Easy to navigate access to machines and the layout is customisable dependent on your criteria. For my case it is whether consent is required or not, and this makes it easy to find certain companies. The backstage mode is critical to our work, as it allows us to implement updates and changes without disturbing users. The chat system also reduces call time as I can chat about issues and easily multi-task.
Cons
No complaints, this system is wonderful.

Setting up ScreenConnect
This allows multiple users to work from multiple locations. It's is one user at a time on each computer though.
Pros
This is a solid product for connecting to another computer remotely if you do not have a virtual desktop system.
Cons
I have a larger resolution monitor at home than the one in the office and it's hard to get the screen to adjust. Also it's hard to see if another user is logged in to the system already.

ConnectWise ScreenConnect
Overall I am very satisfied with the product. We compared it against another well known screen sharing tool and this was way less expensive for the same features.
Pros
I have used ScreenConnect for many years and I like how easy it is to roll it out to our fleet and to jump in and out of a support session.
Cons
Sometimes a screen sharing session can be a little laggy when connecting with Macs.

Involved setup but a top-tier remote access product
We love this product. We use it for internal support access and unattended access as well as remote support where the user may not have the full ScreenConnect client installed on their system.
Pros
Very user friendly. We began using this product to support third-party access with time-based windows as opposed to the traditional VPN / RDP method. This allows our specific teams to provide their own connection requests to vendors who require temporary internal access to specific resources in our environment. We are able to run commands against machines remotely and view basic information about the resource.
Cons
There's a fairly intensive and not the most intuitive setup process if you're customizing permissions and the look-and-feel of the client application.

Connectwise Control - An amazing remote app
Overall, ConnectWise Control has been a popular and reliable remote desktop software that has provided many useful features for our engineering team. Engineers have found it easy to use, and appreciate the ability to customize the software to meet their specific needs.
Pros
Many users have found the software intuitive and easy to navigate, making it simple to provide remote support to clients. Also, ConnectWise Control is known for its strong security features, including two-factor authentication, session recording, and permission-based access. This helps for external and internal security requirements.
Cons
The pricing model may not be suitable for smaller businesses or those with limited budgets. Security permissions are confusing but support are there to help with that.

Simple, Easy to use
Initially used ConnectWise Control (Formerly ScreenConnect) for simple IT support sessions (credential resets, issues with software, etc.). Later deployed agents to network. We found this product much more superior than other alternatives available on the market such as Kaseya. Sessions with speedy, and tools were easy to use like viewing one monitor individually, or performing maintenance discretely in open office environments. Allowed for support sessions to be performed remotely by staff extending the teams' effectiveness even in inclimate weather or times when IT staff worked remotely.
Pros
Formerly Screenconnect, Connectwise Control is an easy to use remote software that gives IT professionals all the necessary support session tools to easily perform remote IT sessions with end users.
- Includes chat messaging
- Includes options to view services, logs, and processes
- Allows technician to blackout monitor / block keyboard presses during session
- Allows for easy facilitation of temporary remote sessions by non-technical staff
- Easy facilitation to give "passes" (timed access) to end-users and technical support staff
- Allows for basic scripting options for alerting and webhooks
- 2FA Authentication enabled
Cons
- Difficult initially to setup department groups of computers,
- Not a lot of documentation on setting up webhook scripting,
- Database maintenance can be tedious
- Outside basic functionality (which is all you need), selective and limited add-on options and integrations (compared to other product Automate [labtech])
- Uses Java over HTML5 only.

Connectwise's product is just enough what you need for facilitating remote sessions without much of the overhead of complicated help desk CRM setup. Excellent Remote Control/Access Platform
We are constantly providing IT/Accounting/Payroll support to our clients and ConnectWise Control is one of the most important tools in providing this support as it allows us to easily connect to our clients and step them through their problems.
Pros
We use both unattended and remote control and both are simple and easy to use. Staff have no issue learning to use ConnectWise Control and overall we have little to no problems with the platform.
Its connection quality options are great and find this to be a huge improvement over other platforms - we rarely have drop outs or lost connections.
Cons
The only feature that I dislike is that the platform logs out after a certain amount of time - I am guessing this is a security feature though.
Reasons for Choosing ConnectWise ScreenConnect
We initially reviewed our options as the price of our current platforms had recently increrased and after testing ConnectWise Control we were very impressed with its features and ease of use and decided to switch over.Reasons for Switching to ConnectWise ScreenConnect

ConnectWise ScreenConnect - The Wise choice for remote support
Pros
This product made it much easier for our department to support teachers and administrators in a more timely manner. We have 4 techs to handle 11 schools plus the main administration building so this has reduced response times greatly when needing to install a printer or software for staff member.
Cons
Not enough options for sorting the devices. I can filter connections by device name, user account name or even IP address, etc but we really would like to have an option to sort the devices based on last contact date and time so we can monitor more closely the devices that are not being used in our schools.

ConnectWise ScreenConnect Positives
Pros
ScreenConnect with CW is our process when I need to see what a user is doing on their end to better understand their issue. Starting a session, have the user join the session and facilitate seeing their information is seamless. It is also very easy to disconnect so the user knows I am no longer in their computer seeing anything of concern as a notification is sent to the user I have disconnected.
Cons
Nothing at this time since using ConnectWise ScreenConnect is an easy process and meets my needs.

The single best remote access tool
Great, we deployed ScreenConnect and never looked back. There's been zero reason too.
Pros
Small, clean, easily implemented and integrates well with our tool stack. It's pretty much everything we could as for from a tool like this and includes use auditing and recordings to meet any compliance requirements we've encountered.
Cons
Very little. The only real challenges we have are deployment and required end user actions for environments where it is not deployed. Honestly I don't know what they could even do about that as it's neither a deployment tool itself nor can they circumvent browser and OS security to be able to eliminate the necessity or end user actions in certain circumstances.

Excellent Security !
Overall, ConnectWise Control is an effective remote access and support programme that provides companies with a number of features and advantages. When deciding whether it's the best tool for your company, it's essential to take into account any potential drawbacks, including pricing, limited integrations, a steep learning curve, limited mobile support, and limited customization.
Pros
Due to its end-to-end encryption, two-factor authentication, and session confirmation prompts, ConnectWise Control offers a high degree of security. Businesses can brand the UI with ConnectWise Control to give it a more polished and distinctive appearance.
Cons
ConnectWise Control can be expensive, especially for small businesses or those with a limited budget.

This used to be an awesome product for tech support. Now it is just great.
Support staff is always professional. But the way they get information from us and use it as to features on the product and what we like and dislike was really poorly done.
Pros
I *used* to like the "Toolbox" till they broke it.
Ability to reboot computer and stay connected.
Screen drawing.. but that is bittersweet as the feature was VERY BADLY written. Whomever wrote, clearly did not use it to try and talk someone through something on their computer.
The ability to dynamically group computers by client and tags is AMAZING!!! I love that I can code searches for my groups.
Ability to rename computers.
See how long computers have been off-line
The plugin system that allows me to greatly enhance the way I interact with the interface.
Ability to create user accounts and control their security. (Still waiting for ability to limit how many connections they use)
The fact that I can run it off my own server is AWESOME!
Cons
I used to love that I could use the "Toolbox" to execute my tech tools while working on computers. Just pick it from the list... have it download to C:\SomeFolder and then open that folder and all the tools were there. I could clean viruses, restart the computer, go back and continue. That is no more though. After I bought the software they changed it. Now the tools download to the users "Documents" folder. The users get mad at me for digging through their "Docuemtns" folder to try and find "my folder" where the tools download too. It is hard to get to the folder. It is impossible to set exclusions on the virus shield because the folder name changes as it in the users profile. If they have bad internet or I leave a scanning tool running a long time, lose connection, the folder is removed and so are the tools. I have to start all over. This software SUCKS NOW! They completely changed it. The worst part is... they did not have too. They could have easily let it continue to work the way it was and given us some toggles and variables to control its behavior. Bad programming really. They say this app was written by techs for techs.. I think that may have been true once. Not any longer.
Lack of hotkeys... To move between screens and clear the screen drawing.
Inability to set the color of the screen drawing.
No button to set "Auto" sizing on the resolution.
"Acquire Lock" feature never seems to work.
I would list more but I am out of space.

ConnectWise Control is easy to set up and deploy
Pros
Connectwise Control allows us to support our staff anywhere as long as they have an internet connection. It's easy to set up on-prem or you can use the cloud version. The agent is easy to install and can be done through InTune which is always a bonus. Updates are easily managed, it's fast and there are some great features such as being able to turn off the users input or blank their screen.
Cons
It is slightly more expensive than some of its competitors, but personally I believe it to be a superior product.
