Amazon S3
Overall, S3 is a great provider for storage solutions. You just need to watch the bills and see how you can keep them in check.
Pros
It is true that AWS is a juggernaut in the industry. This is the reason I used them as my primary offsite backup repository. Many popular applications like Backup Exec integrate very nicely with S3. There is tons of documentation out there for most applications on how to use S3 with their products. The free trials for the first year are nice too.
Cons
I kept noticing that my data pool was getting larger and larger due to the types of devices I was backing up. Amazon "micro" charges for everything and my bill started to grow exponentially. You are charged for data coming in, out, at rest, long term storage, not stored long enough, lists, etc. This started to become unwieldy. Their charges are not high but in my case they just grew too much so I had to switch solutions.

A huge and cheap tool for storing several TB of data
Amazon S3 is the heart of our cloud architecture, providing all the buckets we need to read/write data, both from production and sand environment. It's highly integrated with other AWS services and it's quite cheap and easy to set up and manage.
Pros
It's a cheap solution for storing data. You can easily access AWS s3 both with data processing platforms (e.g. Spark) and client softwares (e.g. Cyberduck). You can also choose which type of storage fits better your need, depending of the access frequency (once a week, once a month, once a year...). AWS S3 supports all data format, while some of them (parquet and iceberg) are highly recommended for storing huge tables. You can also set lifecycle rules to delete old and unused files after a custom period.
Cons
As a minor hiccup, there is some trouble in deleting corrupted files.

Amazon S3
Amazon S3 (Simple Storage Service) has consistently proven to be a reliable and versatile option. This cloud-based storage service offers a wide range of features that cater to different data management needs, ensuring high data availability and performance. Amazon S3 is designed to handle the ever-growing demands of today's data-driven world. Its storage architecture is built to scale, allowing users to store and retrieve any data anytime. This flexibility is crucial for systems engineers, enabling us to adapt to changing requirements and accommodate various data types. Amazon S3 offers a comprehensive suite of data management tools that simplify organizing, securing, and analyzing your data.
Pros
Amazon S3 is just one part of the wider Amazon Web Services (AWS). This infrastructure as a service (IaaS) platform is a one-stop shop for all your IT requirements. AWS provides over 70 services including analytics, networking, mobile, database, and more. Tools and features you can take advantage of include versioning, which allows you to roll back to previous versions of a file or recover deleted objects, and managed IT services, designed to make running your business easier. One of the main benefits of Amazon S3 is that it offers unlimited server capacity, so you can store your data without worrying about hard drive failure on macOS or service disruption. With unlimited bandwidth, secure email hosting, and more, Amazon S3 and AWS are reliable and scalable as your business expands or grows.
Cons
Unfortunately, one of the main disadvantages of Amazon S3 is that AWS limits resources by location, so some areas may have fewer resources than others. It can also be challenging to find out how many resources you've used, although you can request a resource increase if needed. If you store your data on your MacBook but are considering moving your data to the cloud, it’s normal to be worried about common cloud computing concerns. You might be worried about service downtime and being unable to access your files when you need them. Perhaps privacy and security are your key concerns. Or maybe you’re losing sleep over data leakage risks, particularly if you work with sensitive personal data. Other issues include limited control over your account and data, and backup protection. Because Amazon S3 is so well established and popular, the service already has these concerns covered, so you don’t need to worry about them.

Amazon S3: A Needed Object-Oriented Storage Platform for the AWS Cloud
Great experience testing the S3 storage capabilities and features. High compatibility with OOP constructs.
Pros
I really like the free-tier offer by Amazon which provides a 12-months free S3 storage with a capacity of 5 GB and over 20000 access requests. This is really generous and allows a developer to test the full AWS features mainly the interaction between the VM processing in EC2 and the storage in S3 to stand on the actual performance and throughput of different application classes. I used Amazon S3 in testing the storage of sensor data from a test-bed home automation application. The object-oriented bucket architecture in S3 made it very easy to store sensor data using probabilistic sketching data structures such as Bloom filters and Quotient filters. Very efficient even with large data streams which gives an indication on the sophisticated algorithms supporting the S3 storage architecture.
Cons
No major drawback in S3. Would definitely be happy to see more free-tier support especially for educational purposes.

Low-cost and reliable object storage
Since it can temporarily store all kinds of data as a data lake, it was adopted as a storage destination for data generated by IoT devices that are difficult to predict and voice data for cloud services. With limited resources, such as local ones, it is difficult to estimate the initial investment and scale up, but using S3, there are no upfront costs and you only pay for the amount used.
Pros
The ultimate in cloud storage with the highest levels of availability and durability. Attractively, you can use storage at a low cost per TB. Data sent from IoT devices, logs from all AWS services, backups of AWS services, and so on. They can be stored in any format without worrying about running out of capacity resources, which gives us a great sense of reliability and security.
Cons
The fee schedule is confusing, making it challenging to estimate total costs. I want a more accurate cost simulation function. I also want a safety warning function because incorrect configuration increases safety risks.

Google Cloud StorageReasons for Choosing Amazon S3
Analysis processes, such as fluid analysis and structural analysis, generate a large amount of data near the TB. When the data is so large, it is not realistic to copy it to the company's server every time it is calculated. By moving it to Amazon S3, we were able to significantly reduce the costs we had with Microsoft Azure.Switched From
Microsoft AzureReasons for Switching to Amazon S3
Amazon S3 charges only for the amount used with capacity billing. Being object storage, although the architecture is different from file systems such as Windows and Linux, it can be used as if it were an instance file system. S3 is less expensive per unit of capacity than EBS or EFS. Although it is cheap, the data is triple-protected by default, so it can be easily used without backups.- Industry: Information Technology & Services

Best product to save and maintain file on the cloud
My experience with AWS s3 is good so far. It has make my work of storing object very easy. It has great security features too.
Pros
I like the way AWS S3 makes it simple to store different kinds of files on the AWS Cloud. It is not just limited to the storage service. It allows hosting static websites as well. By providing various types of storage services such as s3 standard, s3 intelligent storage, s3 one zone storage, s3 glacier and flexible storage, it offers a one-stop solution for all kinds of storage needs from urgent retrieval of files to delayed recovery. It is also an economical solution for the organization which wants to store its data on a large scale. The thing which I like the most about s3 is it's bucket name is globally unique.
Cons
S3 doesn't allow renaming buckets, which AWS could add-in the future.

Cons
I didn't give it that much of a chance to find out, but the free trial gave me plenty of time to look at the program and see its functions and uses.

I have been using Amazon S3 for a while now, and it has become my go-to storage solution. I anticipate that I will continue using it in the future.
Pros
Amazon S3 is an incredibly reliable and scalable storage service. It is simple to use, cost-effective, and provides excellent performance for data storage and retrieval.
Cons

One of the best storage services available in the market
I have started using Amazon S3 buckets for one of my content management projects and I had to find a cloud space to save the content and load it back to the interface. So I ended up using s3 bucket urls and it is working flawlessly.
Pros
We can store any amount of data and can retrieve it too. Other than that versioning and access management are also major features that comply with proper standards. Also I should mention about the availability because even though my data is lost because of any disaster, my data will be remain die to the backup data.
Cons
Pricing is expensive a lot when compared with other company products.

Cons
I was trying a lot to run my application, I even have a discount code from them to test everything, but never made the app run, while I was using the same code on app engine, when I tried support I needed to pay a lot just to try and ask for the basic help. After months never made it run.
