I was able to quickly make sense of the data presentation and get started right away. Our last platform was DonorView, and DonorPerfect has some great features, but then much of the products are cobbled together. This is not helpful. Whenever a report is needed, we have to chat with support to get the extremely long set of instructions to generate the report. Additional problems that we found were the different ways to set up receiving funds, either directly through DonorPerfect, or through GiveCloud. Functionality changes for the choice of one or the other. Finally, the icon labels for a donor are not helpful. Take for instance a donor who is a monthly giver, but gives by check. The monthly donor icon does not show up and we can't manually tell the platform to do so. > > Overall, DonorPerfect is a pretty good platform. Unfortunately, after using this platform for a year, we feel it was probably better for our organization to stick with DonorView. Also love the chat feature to get answers in real time vs. having to email and wait for a response. > > **Cons**: They have a drop and drag donation forms section. The downside is that unlike their classic forms, you need to actually run a separate report to get the names of the persons who have donated as it is not visible on the platform. Super inconvenient and something that we need to schedule regularly to pull. Another con is that in the classic forms the header area is not easy to work with or size. It also does not look good on mobile even is you check the box to maximize it for mobile. > > Overall experience is still a 5 star rating. I also love that I can label and and see at a glance helpful information right on the beginning part of the donor's profile. The section called narrative has been helpful to use for quick notes I need our team to be able to see and read to be able to better interact with donors on a collaborative basis. When I have needed customer support, they have responded within a 24 hour period, have been helpful and apologetic when things don't work, and work quickly to resolve the issue. Donor Perfect for the most part has been easy to use and helpful for our organization this year. > > **Cons**: I don't like the reporting section of donor perfect at all. There are way too many filters that are needed in order to pull info I need quickly. It also is not the most user friendly and takes time to rewatch videos and take more notes in order to use. The deposit section needs some updates to get rid of bugs/glitches, and make it faster and easy to use without a bunch of unnecessary parts to fill out each time. > > Overall, I would say minus some things here and there that have been "glitchy" or not helpful (i.e. reporting, deposit sections that I use on a weekly basis) this platform gives me everything I need to use for our donors on a daily basis\!
