Our last platform was DonorView, and DonorPerfect has some great features, but then much of the products are cobbled together. This is not helpful. Whenever a report is needed, we have to chat with support to get the extremely long set of instructions to generate the report. Additional problems that we found were the different ways to set up receiving funds, either directly through DonorPerfect, or through GiveCloud. Functionality changes for the choice of one or the other. Finally, the icon labels for a donor are not helpful. Take for instance a donor who is a monthly giver, but gives by check. The monthly donor icon does not show up and we can't manually tell the platform to do so. > > Overall, DonorPerfect is a pretty good platform. Unfortunately, after using this platform for a year, we feel it was probably better for our organization to stick with DonorView. The downside is that unlike their classic forms, you need to actually run a separate report to get the names of the persons who have donated as it is not visible on the platform. Super inconvenient and something that we need to schedule regularly to pull. Another con is that in the classic forms the header area is not easy to work with or size. It also does not look good on mobile even is you check the box to maximize it for mobile. > > Overall experience is still a 5 star rating. But again, support is always available to walk through with me. > > What stands out most in my experience with DonorPerfect is the balance it strikes between support and self-sufficiency. The live support team is consistently responsive and helpful, making it easy to get unstuck in the moment. At the same time, the knowledgebase serves as a reliable companion—well-organized and thorough—allowing me to explore features more deeply and build my own understanding at my own pace. That said, the platform isn’t without its challenges. The coding aspect, particularly when it comes to customization or more advanced functionality, can feel a bit complex and occasionally requires extra time and patience to navigate.
