If project managers are willing to enter data into their project, like start/stop dates, percent complete and resources there is a wealth of reporting available. I also like the alert function tied to widgets. > > **Cons**: prebuilt reports often lacking As an accountant, the software often blocks activities I can do in other ERP systems. I think Ajera is built like a more robust Quickbooks, protecting business owners from making mistakes, but it inhibits some accounting activities in the ledgers. Thus allows the principals to look at what they want to look at instead of what the software company thinks the principals will want to see. The widgets also allow the viewer to sort, filter or group the mini report without going into designer or changing what others see on their screens. Deltek has also increase task widgets. These are widgets that allow you to make changes to the data from the report. The design team loves getting suggestions from users and encourages us to submit ideas. > > **Cons**: Sometimes after a new update, there are glitches in the software. However, Deltek is very good at releasing corrections before most users notice the glitch. There is a lot of data entry in Ajera. However, you have data entry with every software. Even custom software requires certain items to be entered. And Deltek has added features like importing credit card transactions, import inhouse expenses, mobile timesheets and expense reports and importing journal entries to try to assist with the data entry. It also has an API system to allow Ajera to communicate with outside software. My final con would be that while there are custom field options, they are limited in placement. Vision has much better custom field options. However you pay more for vision and Ajera is for smaller companies that may not need that level of customization. > > Information is now at our fingertips in seconds.
