Valuable software for billing at a law firm

Bill quick is a perfect solution to create invoices and be able to bill many different attorneys on different projects.

Pros

The ability to customize many of its features is great. You can setup and keep track of time associated
with various cases, clients, projects. There are so many reports that you can run to keep track of your spending. Able to export invoices to LEDES format. Able to import time from excel spreadsheet.

Cons

It takes some time to learn the software, the tech support team was great in getting me up and running. If you want additional reports they have a custom report group but their cost is a bit high to modify reports. It looks a bit complicated but actually it is easy to use.

This has helped out our company

Pros

It saves project numbers for ease of billing weekly, it has an app you can use in case you don’t have access to a computer and it cuts down on time spent doing it manually

Cons

I do wish you can look up project names when looking for a project to bill instead of inputting project number

Core Review 2021

Overall we have had a good experience with Core. The customer service is outstanding, and the fact that it is available 24/7 is great. However, it took us quite some time to really understand how to use the program and in some ways we are still learning.

Pros

The invoicing feature - it takes a little to learn where everything is, but once you do it makes invoicing easy.

Cons

We use the phases for our fee and consultant fees and the phase does not add up the amounts, nor does it add up to the Parent.
Also, I wish there were more webinars where we can actually learn how to use Core in different ways, rather than a sales webinar.

Great Product

I have consistently had a wonderful experience with BQE Core. They are always there to help out when needed, and the monthly webinars are always helpful.

Pros

Nice and easy to set up and very easy to implement to new employees. Customer support is wonderful and prompt. Lots of one on one training options that will walk you through everything you need. Many different ways to track projects, budgets, staff etc. Always growing and adding features based on feed back from customers.

Cons

Project management set up can get tricky since there is so much involved, but there is good training to make it not so intimidating.
Some features in project management would be nice to be available in Time/Expense subscription for ease of communication within the organization.

Nothing like it

Pros

It does everything we need it to. We were struggling to stay on stop of everything with things being split over different softwares and Core offered solutions all of our major problems and simplified our processes. We'd be lost without it now.

Cons

We needed sessions with tech support to figure it out, but that's the only downside. Once walked through it, I don't have any problems navigating it now.
