Hidden Gem
Bumpy. But they hit a home run by the time we were all set to go. Went live a week later than they planned but a week before we planned. The entire team was super helpful in the process and delt with a really picky customer with a really large menu with patience.
Pros
Sky is the limit on what you can do with the point of sale with the proper knowledge. ASK QUESTIONS. They will teach you anything you would like to know or do it for you in just a phone call.
Cons
There were a few bumps in the set up that made me nervous. Almost bailed out on it before even starting. They were able to fix the issues, get the account set up correctly and get the process moving back on track.

Great system and support overall!
Overall installation went smoothly and I love that the onboarding personnel ([sensitive content hidden]) has been so readily available when we have questions.
Pros
We liked the look and feel (user Interface) of the POS and felt it was much like we were used to. We like that the price is reasonable and that we can use a cash discount system so easily.
Cons
Worried about iPad battery life with either charging or having to leave plugged in. There was a lack in direction as to what we needed as a retailer. We may have been able to do with a different unit for one of our locations.

Lavu my experience
Again they could run the market on the pos world if they would get it together with the lack of truth and accountability for what was said by sales reps. GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING.
Pros
They have so much potential if they could get the communication down. It’s been one person says this and one person says that. Basically don’t believe anything they say in the sales pitch unless it’s in crystal clear writing. They will say anything to get the sell.
Cons
Everything I said about. The miscommunication and false information.

We are just getting into functionality. We will need to see some changes created to best suit our specific business needs.

Service has been readily available to answer questions. Staff are kind and available.
Cons
There are several functions that are not yet available or not best suited for our needs and for our business style and key protection for our industry with user levels are lacking.
The functionality for our complex needs needs to be improved.

The team made the process quick and easy.
Pros
The entire onboarding team was phenomenal and attentive to my needs for the POS. Very engaging.
Cons
The main terminal does not rotate. Terminal was shipped in dark mode which did not allow me to view the setup screen.

24/7 support great!, credit card issues, and modifier limits.
Had issues with the credit card machine, as it doesn't exit sleep mode efficiently

Had issues with the credit card machine, as it doesn't exit sleep mode efficiently, and completely bugged out and had to spend nearly an hour on the phone with support. However 24/7 support is a bonus.
modifier groups could be better set up so that option modifiers can be grouped, instead of having to be put into forced modifiers.

No Free Trial.
Horrible. Absolutely, incredibly the worst customer service ever. I feel stupid for trying this company. They lied about everything just to get the sale. Do NOT go here !!

Only cons. Wanted to switch to this in January. Start date was to be around the 5th. However saw they started our contract on November 20. Contacted our on boarding person, [sensitive content hidden] and he turned HATEFUL!!!

Great system for us!
We had been using a regional POS system for years, and struggling not only with features, but also with reports, analytics, and their customer support. Lavu has stepped in to improve, full the gaps, and take the lead for us in terms of setup and deployment.
Pros
We're a small restaurant operating outside the US, and Lavu is a great option for us. Easy to use, with lots of customer support in setting up and deploying the system in multiple langauges!
Cons
So far, we have no complaints and are really satisfied with the system and the support.

Pros
Ability to utilize Tab Order as location default during initial deployment in 2014.
Cons
Level of customization in front end user configuration. Scheduling and management notes are undeveloped in reports

True review! With Lavu
Processing is a little pricey than most competitors. Took way too long to set up, but once it is ready to go we like it. We will see how it is live with the restaurant, I cannot say how that will turn out yet since we are not open yet.
Pros
Features, easy to use and price is fair. Just wish we could purchase our own iPad. I like how it is open sourced with any other company as well most competitors are limited with that.
Cons
Customer service was horrendous with employees being fired or no one following up with meetings. Webgot shuffled to the side and delayed our restaurant to get ready. Basically something that was told us in sales vs real life was very different. Onboarding took about 5 months vs what was told us 3 weeks. In all fairness, we had Nazia that took over the account and did an amazing job. Rest of teams we talked to seemed they were not trained well, or rotating staff.
