> Theum is using existing document-based knowledge for boosting business productivity and speed. &#10;&#10;The processing of business tasks in companies today usually requires extensive research. The required knowledge is typically not to be found in a single document but scattered in several documents on countless pages. It is stored and updated in a rapidly growing flood of documents of internal and external origin, whereby the documents are still managed in different formats in separate carrier systems. Although knowledge searches whether for standards, import-export guidelines, safety regulations, guidelines, product manuals, support requests, or instructions are an integral part of the daily work of many people in companies, searching for and compiling the required information is still extremely time-consuming and laborious despite all the digitalization measures and advanced IT systems:&#10;- Users must search in several systems ("silos")&#10;- The documents stored there are available in different formats&#10;&#10;As a result of a search, all systems in the world will only return long lists of documents found. These documents in individual cases comprising hundreds or thousands of pages must be opened in the appropriate application and then laboriously searched further for relevant content. &#10;&#10;The requirements for a sustainable solution are:&#10;&#10;Single Point of Truth: Preparation of documented knowledge in a way that allows easy access via a central portal. Knowledge must be made available for all end devices in an optimized way so that a standard browser is sufficient for access, as easy to use as a "big kindle", with which it has all important contents available for immediate consumption.&#10;&#10;Mobile knowledge: Intelligent knowledge access must be possible on the move; the content must be provided in such a way that it can also be conveniently consumed via smartphone and at low bandwidth. &#10;&#10;Time for answers: The most important point is that search queries in the age of artificial intelligence must no longer be answered with stupid document hit lists. It's time for answers\! Today, state-of-the-art AI technology makes it possible to answer search queries with a complete compilation of all important and relevant information.

> Small companies usually have tons of documents laying around all over the place - many on the file system, some in DropBox, others in Office 365. We were no different. &#13;&#10;&#13;&#10;All of our documents were divided into different places for historical reasons or based on the kind of information stored in the documents. The process of finding the right information has been chaos for a long time. Being able to find 'everything we've offered to Customer A' was even more difficult. One problem was that project documents were not stored in the same place as financial documents. Another problem was having to scan through search hits and long documents. Getting a big picture was impossible. We decided to start moving all of this into Office 365/SharePoint. This helped document owners, but not people who needed to find knowledge. The general consensus was that staff were spending 10-20% of their daily time dealing with documents and search systems instead of doing their jobs. As a small company, that kind of waste is unacceptable.&#13;&#10;&#13;&#10;We came across Theum in a Webinar in August and decided to try their cloud offering for small businesses. We connected it to our Office 365 area and voila\! We can get everything we need, without having to hunt for documents and in documents. Even better, Theum allows document owners to forget about having to think about how the documents might be used - which of course is impossible to really anticipate.&#13;&#10;&#13;&#10;At first we were hesitant about the cost, but then we realized it was trivial compared to what we got considering that the 10-20% time waste has been eliminated. As icing on the cake we've also cancelled the Office 365 licenses for staff members who only need to access the knowledge in our documents but don't author anything.&#13;&#10;&#13;&#10;The Theum Cloud is very easy to use for contributing our documents. We didn't have to read a user guide or get training. For users, there's no training because the whole thing is built like a standard simple website with no special functions.&#13;&#10;&#13;&#10;One bonus we hadn't thought about is actually a bit of a miracle for us: All of the knowledge from all of our documents is now accessible on the PC and all of our mobile devices as standard web content. No documents to download or launch. And all of it looks the same everywhere. Very intuitive. Another bonus is that our entire PDF creation effort has been eliminated.&#13;&#10;&#13;&#10;Theum delivers much more than the same old chaos in another wrapper. Great solution. Highly recommended\!

Sobald neue Informationen in einem dedizierten Sharepoint-Verzeichnis landen, werden sie automatisiert abgegriffen und in Theum integriert.

Hier haben wir alle Artikel, Bücher, Vorträge und andere Ressourcen aus 30 Jahren Beratungstätigkeit zusammengeführt, die bisher auf verschiedensten Webpräsenzen oder Webunterseiten verteilt waren. Die semantische Erschließung erlaubt es, sehr gezielt auf Inhalte zuzugreifen. Anstelle über Dateisystem oder Sharepoint nach etwas zu suchen, gehen wir direkt auf Theum. Wir nutzen eine gehostete Cloud-Version von Theum und müssen uns nicht um Updates, Betrieb oder sonst etwas kümmern. Die Einrichtung ging sehr schnell.
