Medical providers (e.g. physician offices) can use it at no charge. Filling out a form is takes far less time than waiting on hold to speak with someone from the insurance company on the phone, who will wind up asking the same questions or filling out the same form. The system can often get a response instantly, or within minutes. > > **Cons**: Some insurance companies (e.g. Georgia Medicaid) are not yet integrated with covermymeds. This is not really shortcoming for covermymeds, though. Essentially prevents numerous patients from getting not just more pricey medications; but often simple refills or very basic generic medications. Does not integrate well with our EMR. Yet another "middle man" between patients, their physicians and pharmacies that provides NO VALUE. Does not do anything to improve health care quality or outcomes > > Generally horrible.
