Once a good understanding of their coding approach is gained, custom modifications are not that difficult to implement. All modules interact well with each other and the logic flow of the system is easy to trace once that base level knowledge is gained. > > **Cons**: High learning curve before implementing any custom coding (you want your custom code to integrate well so that you can move forward with Iptor upgrades and system fixes. As your business grows and the number of transactions increase you will hit some rollover issues (if the Sales, Invoice and/or PO orders roll over in the same calendar year it can present problems. > > I was only on Iptor for about 3 years. I was brought in as a consultant to help keep that system going as the company transitioned to a new ERP system (Mircrosoft D365). The primary reason the company moved from Iptor was because their business volume increased to the point that they were hitting number roll over issues (see CONS above). Because my client liked Iptor they had already made several large scale custom mods so that they could stay on and continue to grow with that system. While I think that they are comfortable with the change, there are several business areas that wish that they would not have made the switch (which shows how well liked Iptor was within the business model). I do not know enough about the package and support cost associated with Iptor, but if your only question is can it handle the purchase, sales order, shipping/receiving, inventory management and back office financials then the answer is a resounding yes. However, as you grow into a mutli-state, company approaching a billion in sales, you will most likely need to start looking for a possible upgrade, but that is probably far off in your company future and the state of the art will probably have had several revisions by then, thus I would let that be tomorrow's problem. ----- ### "Business suite for small/med size company" — 3.0/5 > **Ari** | *31 January 2017* > > System is quite easy to install and use so those are good things. There are also lot of good functionalities in it, like normal distribution tasks sales, purchase orders and warehouse management also financial side included. Unfortunately in many of those the last meters has left open and details needs to be modified into system by help of the system provider.
