Our Orgs Data Connection

Pros

Mitto has naturally become the solution for our data connections, and I love that it's becoming our central hub for everything data. Not only is it easy to use with already built connections to most existing platforms, the team is absolutely fantastic for any ad hoc work that needs to be done to build additional links. I have nothing but good things to say about the team and their project management skills to get things up and running.

Cons

I have nothing negative to say about the platform.

Alternatives Considered

SetSight, Sisense and Logi Symphony

Reasons for Switching to Zuar Runner

Originally we were looking for BI geared solutions to align and cleanse our POS data, but we wanted to bring solutions across our entire orgs data - at the end of the day most of the solutions seemed far too dedicated to specific solutions only.

Response from Zuar

Thank you for the kind words Heather. Happy to hear that the Mitto ELT solution is quickly becoming your "central hub for everything data"!

Perfect and versatile

It was a struggle with integrating NetSuite into Tableau. Mitto made this possible and now our company has visibility in our ERP system with ease.

Pros

There are multiple connectors that make data integration easy to use. The SQL function is perfect for cleaning and structuring data before Tableau ingestion.

Cons

I don't think there is anything I don't love about Mitto

Response from Zuar

Thank you for the kind words Bonita. We love hearing about Mitto solving difficult problems!

MItto tool and NetSuite allows ease of data export and management

The Zuar/Mitto team are great! They've helped to research and resolve a number of my concerns/issues. The tool itself is extremely valuable to my daily projects as a Business Analyst. It creates a simple data repo that I can access from various tools. We use Tableau for our BI tool, and the Mitto database plays great with Tableau! There was some setup and growing phases experienced when initially setting up our Mitto instance. But once things were organized and prepared properly, this tool has become a user friendly ETL and warehousing tool that I enjoy working with daily.

Pros

The Mitto tool allows us to create and manage various data repositories for various business units in our organization. In most cases, the connection to NetSuite's back end is simple, direct, and pulls a clean data set from the system. Once you have your data extracted, the tool also provides a simple and intuitive scheduling process to keep that data updating on a regular basis.

Cons

MItto connected to NetSuite can have some complications with certain data types. I've had specific reports that struggle to bring in all rows. Some examples of this are Inventory records, Email messages, and Native NetSuite reports. There are tricks that can help get a search to pull into the Mitto tool more accurately, but I would say this is a more advanced solution as an in depth understanding of the data structure is required. Additionally, there are times when I try all the tricks and I still can't get the search to pull in, or it pulls in with an incomplete record set.

Response from Zuar

Thanks for the solid feedback Tim. NetSuite is notoriously difficult to pull data from, but we can confidently say that Mitto's NetSuite connector is one of the best. We really push it to the limits of what NetSuite will allow, but in some ways our hands are tied by what NetSuite allows.

MITTO is Great!!

Through using MITTO, we have seen an increase in productivity and efficiency of work hours. Using MITTO has allowed us to innovate our processes which allows us to see secondary benefits outside of just the MITTO product.

Pros

MITTO makes keeping our web reporting platform up to date easy and essentially hands free. It also allows us to automate daily tasks and saves us a lot of time during the work day.

Cons

The product is easy to use for the capacity we use it in. We have not had to so too much with the product outside of running jobs that were already built. For what we use it for there are no complaints.

Making my job easier

I have appreciate [sensitive content hidden] customer support. Any time we have a problem, he is willing to jump in to figure out a solution. [sensitive content hidden] is easy to work with and has the technical knowledge to solve problems that has made our experience with Mitto so great.

Pros

Mitto takes care of the API connection for us, so we can work with the data in a database environment (PostGres).

Cons

The initial set-up of jobs is not intuitive for me. I still copy jobs originally set-up by the Mitto team. Dealing with Tableau credentials is still a challenge as well.

Response from Zuar

Great to hear that Mitto is making your job easier Weston. And we're continuously releasing product improvements to make the tools more intuitive and easier to use.

Mitto helped us out in a pinch!

Mitto and Zuar are amazing to work with, our rep [sensitive content hidden] is the best!

Pros

Easily connect to many data sources, build tables, apply logic, and voila!

Cons

Not a lot of cons, perhaps the fact that we had to license hours from Zuar to build it out, but that was simply because we didn't have capacity on our side.

Response from Zuar

Thanks Andrew, great to hear that Mitto help out and has proven to be a solid solution for you.

Overall a good experience

Pros

I like the way Mitto integrates the ETL process with our Tableau Extracts. I also like the way you can use jobs in sequences.

Cons

The IP address access restriction can be annoying when you connect from multiple locations . I would like to have the ability to track changes to Jobs by users.

Response from Zuar

Good news- the IP address whitelisting will soon be replaced by a VPN solution. Should be even better!
