## Reviews

### "My Photoshop experience" — 4.0/5

> **Samuel** | *26 May 2026* | Information Technology & Services | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: I love the flexibilty, of its tools and they offer a wide range of possibilities in the photo editing and design space.
>
> **Cons**: Interface can be intimidating for newbies, and some tools can be difficult to locate from the list of embedded tools and also if a different workspace is selected that has that tool as a primary one.
>
> I can say my experience so far for the past years has being phenominal so far, has better tools and photo editing capabilities than most softwares out there.

### "More Than Just a Photo Tool" — 5.0/5

> **Jennifer** | *28 August 2025* | Real Estate | Recommendation rating: 8.0/10
>
> **Pros**: I love all the different things that can be done with adobe photoshop. It can be used in my personal life as well as with my business. It works great for editing photos. I use it for designing my business cards. The logo and graphics can all be edited in the same place. I like that I can a yearly fee to use all of the tools. I can switch from my personal use to business use using a login giving it an extra security feature.
>
> **Cons**: Their is a lot of learning to use photoshop. I am constantly watching video tutorials to do different designs. I had a problem with billing and trying to get an actual person to help me took a lot of effort.
>
> Overall, it is a great product with multiple uses. There are so many different features and is a constant learning experience.

### "Photoshop must stay\!" — 5.0/5

> **Essence** | *23 March 2026* | Education Management | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: Photoshop must stay\! It can do anything and bring imagination to life. Nothing competes especially for someone learning about it
>
> **Cons**: It definitely requires training from a class or mentor. However, it's totally worth it and it makes sense.

### "AI isn't magic, and even if it were, you don't get much for your money." — 2.0/5

> **David** | *4 January 2026* | Photography | Recommendation rating: 1.0/10
>
> **Pros**: It goes without saying that its long history as a household name and industry standard photo editor is not unearned. For a wedding photographer, it's an excellent tool and can definitely do the job most of the time, in the right hands.
>
> **Cons**: Its expensive pay monthly subscription model and reliance on AI is not in its favour. Many other options are available, and despite the hype over AI, the results are unsatisfactory when digging deeper, and equally good (or bad) results can be achieved with free alternatives, albeit with a little extra work and hardware. In case you're thinking of renting Photoshop for its AI features to do the work for you, bear in mind that with the basic Photoshop subscription you get very little use of its generative AI features per month unless you pay for an even more expensive add-on package. If you don't need generative AI, there are many other options out there.
While I find generative AI underwhelming and grossly over-hyped, I have conducted many hours of tests and experimented with many models and workflows, including custom ComfyUI set-ups and decided that using Krita with AI produced just as good (or bad), and sometimes better results than Photoshop's, for free.
>
> I still use Photoshop CS3 regularly and have done since 2010. It was paid outright, and if Photoshop were still available as a perpetual licence product, it would probably rate higher. I did a thorough test of the latest version of Photoshop at the very end of 2025 and decided it was definitely not worth the subscription. Affinity, while far from perfect, is a much preferable alternative for 99% of the work that can be done in Photoshop.

### "The best design tool" — 5.0/5

> **Hayden** | *3 April 2026* | Computer Software | Recommendation rating: 9.0/10
>
> **Pros**: As a user for over 5+ years photoshop has proven to be the industry standard for software design. The user interface makes it easy to use and understand. Sharing the same layout with other Adobe softwares such as Illustrator and After Effects makes working on projects a breeze. The capabilities for this software seems endless with many years of use, still feel like i haven't scratched the surface to what can be created on the software.
>
> **Cons**: whilst boasting may features it can become a bit overwhelming even after many years of use, i feel those with no design experience will struggle to use the software or where to start. The pricing of the software on it's own can also be considered a barrier for those who want use photoshop for personal use.
>
> I've really enjoyed using photoshop for creating graphics and touching up images. It's the best software out there in my opinion for designs, and when you become comfortable understanding it, makes expanding your designs easy through other adobe platforms.
