> The Limecraft platform consists of a collaboration and workflow application called Flow and a media processing application called Edge. While Edge and Flow can operate autonomously (some customers use Edge without Flow to ingest content into Avid Interplay, and many use Flow without Edge), customers realise maximum operational performance when using the combination. Edge configurations are set centrally in Flow, so that when you login into Edge, the configs of that particular production are pulled on the spot from Flow: no mistakes possible. Also, workflows are centrally managed and visualised using Flow, while some steps of the execution can be delegated to one or more remote Edge instances. Used in combination, the Limecraft platform ensures overall version control. So when Edge writes original footage to tape robots and edit proxies on online storage, Flow is capable of keeping track of all versions. When the editor is working remotely on low-res proxies and throws back the bin file into flow, Limecraft automatically relinks to the high-res fragments. This is proxy-based remote editing as it should be, i.e. resulting in the highest possible quality.

While primarily targeted at the acquisition, production, post-production, import \& QC, archiving, distribution and syndication stages of the supply chain, the Limecraft platform can also be used in promos and marketing, OTT, VOD and social media publishing. Ideal for production and creative teams (factual production, drama production, creative video and post production), Limecraft enables users to search, locate, share, comment, review and approve, and deliver assets, including video and subtitles.

## Reviews

### "Limecraft was the most productive teammember of our Master thesis group..." — 5.0/5

> **Hans** | *7 June 2024* | Education Management | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: The speed and accuracy of the interview transcriptions (in spite of local language and dialects) is impressive. Recognition of speakers is virtually perfect (even when several people speak simultaneously).
>
> **Cons**: As far as the transcription functionality is concerned: nothing. Maye it would have been nice to be able to export the transcription in en editable format (instead of only pdf).

### "Transcribing interviews for my master thesis" — 4.0/5

> **Celine** | *6 May 2020* | Higher Education | Recommendation rating: 8.0/10
>
> **Pros**: Easy to use, structured layout, various functionalities
>
> **Cons**: If the quality of your audio is not optimal, or the voices have language accents then the quality of the transcript is also less, but with the editing tool on the platform you can easily adapt the transcript and this will still save you time.
>
> My master thesis is based on case studies, so interviews are the main source of data. Manually transcribing these interviews takes a lot of time, but \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] had a solution for that. After our interview, he offered me a trial account that was sufficient to have all my interviews typed out automatically. This saves a lot of time, it is fantastic that this tool exists and I am very grateful to \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] for this gift.

### "Very useful for technical tasks" — 3.0/5

> **Verified Reviewer** | *23 March 2019* | Entertainment | Recommendation rating: 7.0/10
>
> **Pros**: The software is very useful when you need a good transcription. It's far better than a lot of transcription software I've used so far\! The subtitling feature helps save some time for technical videos (IT, corporate) and that's how I use it.
>
> **Cons**: I wouldn't use it for fiction. The reading flow and sentence breaks are not ideal. I've tested the captioning option (subtitles in the same language as the video)
>
> I will defnitely use it to speed up captioning of corporate videos.

### "Next level interview transcription & subtitling\!" — 4.0/5

> **Peter** | *3 October 2019* | Media Production | Recommendation rating: 9.0/10
>
> **Pros**: The software really delivers what it promises. It brings a lot of added value in your postproduction flows. The interview and dialogue transcription are very accurate and are very easy to use. Limecraft gave us also very good support in setting up the software for our clients and for us.
>
> **Cons**: There are some data features that are ideal for film or television postproduction, but sometimes a little bit more complicated for corporate video production. However, this is mainly a data description issue and has not really an impact on the fantastic functionalities of the software.
>
> I mainly use the software for our production of corporate and scientific videos. The interview transcription tool is appreciated a lot by our clients and it helps to save us a lot of time during the editing.

> **Yasmin** | *5 May 2020* | Motion Pictures & Film | Recommendation rating: 8.0/10
>
> **Pros**: The people from Limecraft are very friendly and helpful. The automatic transcriptions are very fast and you can also include time codes.
>
> **Cons**: The software is a bit complicated if you're not avery technical person (like me), but the people from Limecraft are always willing to help you if there are any complications.
