Albeit that Camtasia is not the most advanced video editing platform but it doesn't have to be, it's perfect for the average person who needs to do some video editing. This is why I love Camtasia, I can ramp up new video editors quickly. Even my advanced video editor now sings the praises of Camtasia, he complained at first but now even he sees the light. > > **Cons**: We have pushed Camtasia to where it breaks with too many layers, yes I know the workarounds but this could be improved upon. The recorder only produces a huge file that needs to be opened in Camtasia and then exported, which makes long recordings very hard to manage. And, if the videos are too big, the software becomes jumpy, which doesn't happen with the same set of videos on a different editor. > > It's been very useful and easy to learn, I've used it a lot and also recommended it.
