The platform is helpful for my responsibilities as a landlord. However, I recently experienced a serious issue where $3,200 in rent payments was stolen after someone gained unauthorized access to my account and redirected the funds. While I understand that RentRedi uses Stripe as a third-party processor, the fact that this could happen without any alert other than an email that says “you changed my rentredi despot account.” I value the convenience that RentRedi offers, but security is non-negotiable when it comes to managing tenants' payments and sensitive financial data. I urge RentRedi to implement stronger required not optional protections, like multi-factor authentication or real time phone alerts for changes to bank account information. Landlords and tenants deserve peace of mind when using this platform.
