Overall great product even with a few flaws
Overall the experience has been great. Our use of Sage has saved us a lot of manual spreadsheet work.
Pros
I really like the deferred revenue and prepaid expenses modules. Automatic postings saves a lot of manual work. Consolidation of multiple entities is also very helpful.
Cons
I don't like that you cannot pay a USD AP Bill with a Canadian credit card. Tax module isn't actually working for Canada.

Great accounting platform
Sage Intacct has been our primary accounting and general ledger software for over 4 years now and we have been extremely pleased with it and certainly would never go back nor do we anticipate ever having a reason to change.
Pros
Powerful finance and accounting software, always improving, top notch customer support
Cons
There's very little to not like but it is pricey and reporting is a bit of a learning curve because it's so powerful

Terrible Product
It's all about the money with Sage Intacct. If you don't pay, you don't get service. The help portal is a joke. The product is clunkier than an old pinto.
Pros
I don't like anything about Sage Intacct
Cons
Customer Service Representatives never know what is going on. They cannot keep anyone around for more than a few months so they always change your contact. It's hard to keep track who you need to email for issues. When you do email them, it always takes days for a response or they tell you they cannot help you with your issue.

Excellent for Mid Sized Businesses
I first started using Sage Intact in 2017. At first, it was very different from the system I had been using and I felt a little overwhelmed. However, once I got my bearings I found the software to be user friendly and very functional.
Pros
Sage Intacct has a user-friendly interface and has all the accounting solutions we need in our accounting department. It is cloud based so it can be accessed remotely. It allows us to create detailed custom reports that are capable of reporting across multiple entities. The menus are very easy to navigate and it is a suitable system for a company who has many users that only need access to certain items. They also have good help and continuing ed seminars.
Cons
There's not much we don't like about Sage Intacct. For a very small company or for users who haven't utilized a system with as many features it may be overwhelming to adopt. This program is best for mid sized to large companies.

Moving right along
My experience has been positive. As businesses increase, Sage Intacct is new for our organization, so it is all about learning.
Pros

Reporting is archaic and lacks flexibility when creating different views. Als,o once you set up the reporting views, they are not dynamic with changes to the GL.

In my personal opinion, Sage Intacct is a good software. The platform not only provides a reliable accounting solution but also boasts strong abilities in automation and reporting
Pros
I am fond of the fact that Sage Intacct is very good at financial reporting and automated workflows which are the factors to the success of accounting and Bank Reconciliation
Cons
The interface is not always intuitive and it triggers a lot of removed menu entries, and navigating through some of the features could be a hurdle for some people. Furthermore, some of the customizations also require technical knowledge as well

Great product, need lite version for non-profit users
Our support person, [sensitive content hidden], is great to work with. Checking in and always helpful.
Pros
The ease of adding locations or additional accounts.
Cons
Too expensive for the small portion that we use. It won't be long until we will have to switch to another provider if prices continue to increase.
Recommend a "lite" version with limited access for non-profit users.

Sage Intacct Can Change Your Life
Overall I love the Sage Intacct product. If I know of anyone looking for new software, I tell them that this is the product to get and have. I'm constantly looking at the additional modules that are being added on and built upon to see how we can utilize it for our businesses. Our organization is comprised of roughly 30 different entities, most of which have similar ownership, but they're in very different industries, and Sage helps us keep it all together on one platform and gives us everything we need in order to handle all that we do.
Pros
They're constantly investing in making their product better based on what their users are telling them that they need or want to see. There seems to be no limit on what they will do to make sure that everyone that uses their product is satisfied.
Cons
We had a period of time when things were just out of control in our finance offices, and reviewing the release notes wasn't even a blip on anyone's mind as a priority. Turns out that while we were losing our minds, features were rolled out that might have helped us that we missed because we didn't review the release notes, and they were features that needed added to a role to even see them or know they existed if you didn't review the release notes. More than likely an "us" problem more so than a Sage problem, but if we had known that was possible, it might have changed our "priority" thinking.

Endless reports
I have always been a fan of Sage and continue to be.
Pros
Reporting, Dashboards and statistical data.
You can make a report on almost anything - setting them up however can be complex.
I love being able to monitor non financial data in the statistical entries.
Cons
The Fixed Asset module is far too complex and does not manage the reducing balance method in Britain currently. This was tested various times with ourselves and the implementation team.

Easy to use for End User
Overall Positive and I am happy that we moved forward with this system. After implementing for the 5th time I continue to come back to this system for companies that need flexibility in their accounting system.
Pros
The System is great for the user, easy to use and learn, Easy to customize to meet specific customer needs while not breaking every time an upgrade is done. Constant improvement based on customer feedback.
Cons
Support is lacking and needs a lot of attention. The support teams are not as helpful and easy to work with as they were in the post pre Sage acquisition.

Don't understand the hype
We bought a canned package for our industry which was supposedly pre setup out of the box. It wasn't, many of the functions are still not working such as ASC 606 Deferred Revenue. The implementation was a disaster and we are still fixing bugs so it is not working anywhere near the way it should.
The represented integrations turned out not to exist.
Also functionality which to me should just be part of the package are not and it seems when you bring it to their attention all they want to do is upsell you a support package to fix what should be integral to the package already.
Very disappointed if I had to do it over probably would have kept looking and not made the switch.
There were so many misrepresentations as to functionality and integrations it wasn't worth it.

Ability to extract Data for reporting purposes
Cons
The functionality is quite frankly poor at best. The user interface in 1980's.

Matching invoices, POs with receivables help detect discrepancies before paying vendors.
Cons
Sage Intacct was quite daunting to customize during initial setup. However, the vendor technical team offered free support.

An essential tool for everything finance related
A smooth well organized experience with frequent updates that make the user experience even better than before.
Pros
Sage is packed to the brim with features. Everything is organized neatly, and it is easy to run reports for very specific details. If there isn't a report in the system that you need, chances are you can create it.
Cons
The user interface can be a bit bland. It could use a fresh coat of paint to look more modern.

Powerful Financial Management tool
It is an excellent tool for financial management. Since it is a cloud-based app, the users can access their financial data from anywhere, facilitating remote work.
Pros
It helps in the automation of repetitive tasks like invoicing, expense management & consolidations. I also like the ease of getting all the Financial reports for any data driven decisions.
Cons
Cost of the application is a bit at higher side. Also, the team who are using this app may need additional training to familiarize with the software.

Junk - avoid
Horrifying junk that has not made much in improvements over the past 10 years. Waste of space.
Pros
Nothing - absolutely zero. Have had nothing positive to say.
Cons
Everything - it is useless, fails on updates. Deletes itself. Corrupts its own data on critical backups. Fails at every turn.

Pros
- It is user friendly
- The features are clearly laid down in the interface
- Possibility to provide/ show detailed overviews for various tasks
Cons
It is not integrated with other software, and for that reason I wish to be able to easily and accurately verify the information that is presented (either in the approval process or the main task that needs to be performed)
