About TrueContext

TrueContext, formerly ProntoForms, offers cloud-based field service software that assists businesses via their web app and mobile interface. Field agents can fill out and submit invoices, work orders, and signatures within the mobile app. One of the features of TrueContext is its ability to collect and manage documents and forms from anywhere. Users working remotely can choose from pre-made templates from the program’s form library, which includes everything from delivery requests to event registrations, or they can create their own with a customization tool. Barcodes, time stamps, photos, and signatures can also be included in any form, providing data to anyone accessing any document. TrueContext’ web portal allows administrators to manage users and provides a way for field agents to send incomplete forms to individuals or entire groups. Customizable company-specific logos are placed on all PDF forms, on the web portal, and the mobile app.

Simplified Data Collection with ProntoForms.

Pros

ProntoForms is a mobile-friendly platform that allows for quick and easy creation and customization of forms. With just a few taps, data can be collected and submitted, making it convenient and efficient. It serves multiple purposes including inspections, audits, surveys, and more, catering to a wide range of needs. Additionally, ProntoForms offers seamless integration with other software systems such as CRM and ERP, enabling smoother workflows. To ensure the security of collected data, the platform employs industry-standard measures.

Cons

ProntoForms pricing can be costly, particularly for larger businesses. However, the platform offers a diverse selection of pricing plans, allowing businesses to choose one that aligns with their budgetary constraints. Although ProntoForms provides ample customization options, it does have certain limitations to be aware of.

Perfect for form submissions with picture integration

The support has been excellent, and they appear committed to evolving and enhancing the capabilities of their software.

Pros

The ability to take pictures and efficiently organize submission destinations, including renaming images, creating folders, and sending automated emails, was a game changer.

Cons

The 20 MB submission size limit can be restrictive, especially when dealing with large image files. While email limitations are understandable, the low submission size on SharePoint seems unnecessary. However, the TrueContext support team was very helpful in resolving this issue and finding a suitable solution for us.

VKS

Reasons for Switching to TrueContext

With VKS, you needed a license to access all the pictures, while TrueContext was Microsoft friendly and gave access to everyone in the organization.

Data Collection Company, nothing more.

Not fond of the system. It is time consuming to keep up with all the data being received by our users. I have to then transfer this data to another service to get some usable numbers that I can present to our executive group.

Pros

There aren't many positives if any I can say about True Context as it sits now. It is a data collection center. For an upcharge there are other analytics capabilities that other companies roll into one standard price.

Cons

Smart logic works less than 50% of the time when you have long forms that require a lot of smart logic. The analytics you get is practically nothing. You have to build a power BI or another spreadsheet to decipher the data collection, so in theory, you are paying for multiple services that could be done with one provider. (Safety Culture and Predictive Solutions are two that are one-stop shops for data and analytics).

Redline Gear Cleaning - TC Review

Our organization has been using TrueContext for a couple of years at this point, and we have had a largely positive experience. Design elements and updates have been very helpful in the improvement of our inspection processes.

Pros

The customer service has been pretty helpful. Overall, I would say the ease of use for the mobile platform has been most enjoyable.

Cons

Restrictions pertaining to the design of some fields/tables.

Administrated TrueContext for two different employers

Overall, I’m very impressed with TrueContext. Their tech support has been consistently helpful over the years, and I hope it continues to be. With various form requirements, we've successfully created complex and customized forms for our teams.

Pros

I appreciate the tool's functionality and capabilities. Over the past 10 years, I have not only introduced it but also administered and created numerous forms for two different employers.

Cons

There are two key areas I’d like to see added or improved. First, it would be great to have a video capture field feature. Second, an easier WYSIWYG tool for creating custom outputs would be very beneficial.

Alternatives Considered

Cognito Forms and Adobe Acrobat

Reasons for Switching to TrueContext

I chose TrueContext because it solved a lot of our needs when it came to developing custom forms for our Field team and installers.
