TherapyNotes keeps everything in one easy place!
Wonderful product. Made my job much eaiser. Just a little more pricey than some of the other products that are the same as this.
Pros
Everything is in one easy spot. I can schedule an appointment, do telehealth, take notes, and bill all in the same platform. You don't really need anything else when using TherapyNotes, LLC. It keeps track of everything for you. Making the work load so much easier.
Cons
The price is very high. Custumer support was also hard to reach the first time I tried to contact them.

The best case notes are created with TherapyNotes
Writing case notes was something that used to take a long time and required me to create a whole new note every time. Thanks to TherapyNotes I can create and reuse a template to save time and make notes more organized and easy to read. I love the fact that the notes are all stored in one location that I can quickly access regardless of whether I’m on my desktop computer at home or through my smartphone when I’m out in the community. The software also makes it easy to filter through in order to find specific notes which is very convenient.
Pros
It makes writing case notes a breeze for mental health practitioners. It allows me to store all my case notes in one convenient place. This makes it really easy to access them whenever I need to and it also allows me to quickly filter through them to find any specific note I need to access.
Cons
The price is quite steep for solo practitioners.

Can't love TN more!
I love the ease of use, and I feel like the customer support staff truly cares about the providers. I also feel more comfortable with my chart compliance.
Pros
I love the ease of use, and the client portal. I can easily send things to my clients in this virtual day and age. Customer support is stellar.
Cons
Can't make customizable progress note forms, but the one they have is perfectly fine. I'm just anal

Never got to see it's full potential!
I had a trial with therapy notes that was extended to 6 months. With my schedule being as busy as it is, it was hard for me to transition from my current EHR because of the steep learning curve. I found myself watching YouTube videos and their tutorials trying to figure certain things out. I did not complete onboarding because it took up too much of my time.
Pros
It is a customizable EHR which is what I was looking for.
Cons
It was hard to set up, there is a learning curve, difficult to navigate initially.

I am currently in the process of leaving Simple Practice due to issues with reliability after 3 years. I was going to choose Therapy Notes and did a 6 month free trail. Due to issues with setting things up, as TN does not make it easy, I have chosen to go with Carepatron and I love it.- Industry: Health, Wellness & Fitness

Great for most therapists, not customizable enough for me
I first used therapy notes as a staff clinician at a group practice. When I opened my own therapy practice, I started with Therapy Notes since I was familiar with the platform and generally liked them. I found the support team very helpful in getting me setup. TherapyNotes was easy for both me and my clients to use which was a plus. The biggest reason I ultimately chose a different platform was because I wanted more freedom and flexibility with my documentation such as intake paperwork and notes. The templates in TherapyNotes offered minimal customization and that was ultimately a dealbreaker for me.
Pros
Very user friendly on both the clinician and client end. Affordable, especially for a smaller practice. Support team was great! Very responsive and helpful.
Cons
I wanted forms that were more customizable. This was the biggest reason that I changed platforms. I appreciated that the standard forms included necessary information, but they were not customizable enough for my specific niche/client population.

PMHNP friendly EHR, pricey e-Rx fees
Overall I would highly recommend this software. I only practice part time so I am frugal and try to keep my cost low as possible, but if you do not mind spending $780 a year to prescribe then you should be satisfied with this EHR.
Pros
I loved the ease of set up. The importation of patient information from another EHR was quick. They have a to-do list on the initial screen that walks you through each step to set everything up as well. It assures you do not forget anything. When you log in the to-do list will appear so you can stay on top of tasks. I loved the integration of telehealth into the system and the charting template. You can also easily upload and share documents with patients. The customer service is great. They are really responsive and follow up to make sure that everything is good to go. They also personally reached out to see how I was enjoying the EHR which was nice. What I was really impressed with was how fast they set up the e-Rx and EPCS features. It takes other EHRs forever to get this done, especially the EPCS but they set both up in less than a week. They also assisted with setting up the PMP for my state. You can add multiple locations if you practice in more than one place which is really neat.
Cons
The cost of the e-prescribe feature. At the time of this review it is currently $65/ month in addition to the base cost of the EHR. This is expensive compared to similar softwares. They should consider a one time set up fee for EPCS and lowering the cost of prescribing.

Great Product that continues to improve to meet customer needs
Exceptional customer support and communication during the Change HealthCare cyber attack.
Pros
TherapyNotes makes clinical documentation very simple. The templates are easy to use and customize if needed. The information flows from intake, intake note to treatment plan and progress notes. I don't worry about missing an insurance requirement.
Cons
I've been challenged with part of the billing process especially when it comes to deductibles and insurance readjusting payments.

Regretting Choosing Therapy Notes
I have been happy with the salesman and I think that he has tried to assist me the best he can but is confined by powers higher than he. I get the need to raise the prices but to go back on the original deal, I am sorry that I have chosen this software.
Pros
The salesman was very knowledgeable and I liked that it was only for mental health. There are many features such as the telehealth, credit card processing and the client portal that was very attractive.
Cons
They sold me on Therapy Notes with one price, then they back tracked on some pricing for supervisors. I complained and then they honored the original sale. Then before I had it for 30 days, they raised all the prices and went back on the original deal of not charging for supervisors. I have complained and they are sorry for my frustration but it remains the same - they sold me pricing on the software and then changed it all within 30 days. I am not happy.

Please give us better Reports and KPI Tracking options
My overall experience is good and they are making improvements regularly.
Pros
I like the ease of the system and readability
Cons
I feel there are many things that could be improved. Reports and data collection is almost non existent. tracking and reporting for missed appointments is extremely difficult, billing secondary insurances is not an easy process, areas for notes and memos are not clean, I wish you could change appointment color based on different things such as checked in or canceled.

Great Platform, Excellent Customer Service
I have been and continue to be very happy with TherapyNotes! It makes my job easier, and offers everything I am looking for.
Pros
TherapyNotes is a straightforward platform that makes it easy to complete notes, keep track of scheduling, and manage billing. What I like best though, is their customer service. They are so easy to access and have been incredibly helpful!
Cons
Initially there were a few features (like being able to customize forms) that TherapyNotes did have, but they are continuously updating their platform and have added these features!

One of the biggest reasons was the "To-Do" list TherapyNotes has--it allows me to keep track of notes I have started but not completed, as well as other billing tasks. Therapy Notes Review
Therapy Notes has been invaluable to me in helping setting up and running my administrator’s therapy business. We are almost a year in business and we wouldn’t have been able to succeed without Therapy Notes.

Simply Incredible Service
In the past six months, being new to the medical industry, I have contacted Therapy Notes six times. EVERY SINGLE TIME the customer service agent walked me through whatever process I was inquiring about. They followed up with an email detailing our interaction, with the same instructions written out.
NEVER did I have to get passed to a different agent to get help. ALWAYS I have gotten the help I have needed... Truly amazing in this day and age. I actually am wowed by the services that Therapy Notes offers. Whomever is doing their company training is STELLAR because in my half century of work experience, I have not received CONSISTENTLY perfect service. (And I very rarely use the word PERFECT! ;)
Also, when there is an issue with the TherapyNotes program or technology, you are notified immediately as soon as you open the program. As well, Therapy Notes executives listen to their users, actually inviting suggestions, and then working to implement solutions quickly. On top of all that, they offer a Facebook group for users to chat with each other to gain ideas and expertise, with this group being monitored by TherapyNotes personnel, who do sometimes weigh-in on commentary for additional help.
I cannot say enough about such an excellent program, resource, company!!! Kudos for all you do to help all of us in the mental health industry.
Pros
24 hour customer service that is second to none!!
Cons
Lost one feature that they are working to bring back - Insurance Eligibility button.

I love this system and the great 24/7 real human customer service knowledge and availability
It has been excellent and I will continue to use this platform until I retire.
Pros
I had already been using it as an agency employee provider, and when I decided to do my own practice where I am the admin and the provider, the customer service assistance I received both for set-up and ongoing admin tasks has made it possible for me to do this without needing to hire an additional person to handle billing, scheduling, etc...
I love the Portal support for Outcome Measures as well as for HIPAA compliant document use and registration process.
Cons
It took a minute for some forms to be set up in the Portal, but now everything I need is there!

Best product on the market
I have never had a bad experience when I needed to speak to support team about anything. Their patience, time, and expertise is invaluable. Even if I was not sure what to name my situation, they always understood, took their time with me and made me feel like I am important. Love the Therapy Notes. I recommended this EMR to all my friend that are going into Private Practice. Keep it up Therapy Notes. I also chime in once in a while on FB.
Pros
The lay out of assessment, progress notes, calendar, reminders, support team. Educational library. Updates,

Why I Recommend TherapyNotes
I procrastinated in setting up TherapyNotes. However, they kept reaching out to me, offering to help me do that. I also have found that TherapyNotes, unlike other systems, is easily accessible by phone, with minimal wait times. They also have a robust library of "help" articles.
Pros
TherapyNotes is easy to use, with just the right options to make it ideal for everything from adding a client or clinician to the system, designating who has access to specific clients' records, selective individualized two-factor authentication, dropdown menus, and the ability to incorporate the text of previous notes into one's current note. I also like the ability to be able to easily upload and download documents.
Cons
The only think that TherapyNotes could do better, in my opinion, is create a subfolder system. All of the uploaded files appear in a column, and one can name the documents anything one wants. However, I would prefer that all of the uploaded documents of a particular type (e.g., assessments, progress notes, other notes) were in separate folders.

Stay away from them.
Pros
None as of lately. They have changed everything that they started with.
Cons
Absolute garbage! 2 days the eRx doesn't work. Waiting in a queue will easily take 45-60 mins. Website has been glitching for months. No compensation or sincere apologies for wasting our time. It used to be good when it started now they just seem greedy for cash and up charge for everything with no customer service. We are moving to another platform. SO disappointed. You will be wasting your time which is money so don't just judge them by price.

Pros

I highly recommend Therapy Notes; do not hesitate to try it
I cannot say enough about how much I enjoy the overall experience I have with Therapy Notes. I actually get excited each time I log in and genuinely have fun with the clinical administrative portion of my job. I used it when I worked in a practice in a fee-share arrangement and didn't even think twice about choosing it for my private practice!
Pros
I really enjoy the aesthetics of the user interface. Navigating the EHR is intuitive and does not require a great deal of technical savvy.
Cons
I would like ROIs to be added to the library. :-) Other than this, nothing.

Great product!
TherapyNotes took away 95% of my anxiety around billing, coding, interfacing with clients and insurance companies. For the most part it is quite easy to navigate the various functions within the platform. When I did need some help correcting a mistake I made, [sensitive content hidden] from customer service was fantastic!
Pros
It keeps me very organized and provides my clients with a user friendly and professional platform.

Excellent! Every once in a while the text reminder function doesn't work and I wish there was a way to get that money back or prove it a reminder didn't send. Presently, however, they are working on that.

Customer Service
I have had a great overall experience with TN and would recommend to other mental health professionals
Pros
TN has a fantastic customer service. In the event that I have needed to reach out for assistance, TN customer service has went above and beyond to help solve any issues that I have encountered
Cons
When switching from ZOOM to TN Telehealth, it has felt a bit clunky with multiple A/V issues.
