Tastomat.io delivers an amazing working experience

Pros

In my experience, the best thing about Testomat.io is its great UI/UX. The tool is built logically, and you can understand how to use it properly within just a couple of moments. Moreover, the documentation is very useful and helps a lot.

Cons

As someone who frequently writes test cases, I can attest to the fact that text editor can be confusing at times. For instance, when you have a numbered list and need to add a step in the middle, the numbering doesn't update automatically. This means that you have to manually correct the numbers of the steps.

Best TMS out there

Use it every day. Still learning what else I can do with it. Don't consider anything else now

Pros

Built in tests results tracking. I can find why a test failed a month ago really easy. Testomat also has tons of cool useful features I love

Cons

It's relatively new so sometimes I could find bugs. But those are not critical and other TMS don't have such functionality to find bugs in :)

Great idea, but execution is not

Pros

The fact that the tests could be linked and synced

Cons

The really basic functionality of maintaining and managing steps for example. I don't see how that is anything special than just doing it in the IDE itself

Navigating Test Case Management with Testomat.io: A Personal Insight

I have experience with Redmine and TestRail. Testomat.io is different from these tools because it allows you to sync test cases directly from the code, which reduces maintenance costs. However, sometimes I find the UI not very user-friendly; this might be because I am used to pop-up UIs rather than having buttons on the side tab. Overall, Testomat.io is a good product, but there’s room for improvement.

Pros

Testomat.io supports BDD, JIRA, and Confluence. When I was looking to introduce modern testing practices to my company, we needed a tool that could help manage our test cases, including manual test cases, acceptance test cases, and other types of tests (such as integration tests, etc.). Testomat.io proved to be exactly what we needed.

Cons

My company develops AIoT products, and I have to use different testing frameworks for various purposes. For example, I write acceptance test cases using Gherkin and Python for the backend, and TypeScript for the frontend. However, it can be challenging to manage all the test cases in a single project. I often have to create multiple projects for the same product to accommodate the different testing requirements.

I have tested this system on my 2 projects and I want to say that I am satisfied

Testomat.io solves the issues of structuring and grouping testing, displaying test results

Pros

I've been using this TMS for a little over 1 month, so I have a lot to say and assure you that it's a cool thing that will help both automated testers and manual testers. Their manual deserves praise and covers all my questions about this system. I had a few questions, and within 10-20 minutes of support time, I got all my answers and tips on what to do and where to find the answer at any time. I also liked the ease of use, the ease of creating bug reports and attaching them to tests (both automated and manual), the ability to connect CI, Jira.
This is a developing product and I hope that it will be the best TMS and will be known all over the world.

Cons

It's hard for me to write about the problems because I can't point them out, but it's possible that they don't have many ways to report test results now, but I think they will fix it soon

Good system for automated tests with nice analytics in place

We're happy that now we have central system that holds all test execution results with history and versions. We do releases frequently, testomat provides good analytics to make a wise decision on quality before release.

Pros

Reporting and analytics for automated tests. My team and I were looking for a system that will provide storage for our test automation execution and that will do reports and analytics automatically for us. Testomat is specifically designed for automated tests which implemented in a really nice modern way. You need one command to import your tests, one command to execute your tests, and you are done. We have Cypress tests. Cypress is supported natively out-of-the box. Reports is working in real-time way. Analytics are building automatically. There notifications to slack so we connected such reporter to our development channel to track testing progress on daily basis.

Cons

Our test report requirements is to have screenshots and video-recording for each failures. There were some issues with S3 configuration to make it available on testomat side.

Response from testomat.io

Thank you, Volodymyr, for taking the time to share such a detailed review of our test management system testomat.io We are proud to serve customers like you and your team. And we appreciate so much that you evaluate our key benefits. We are always looking to improve innovation in our tool. Toward them our developing team implement new functionality focused on automation. We know today that automated testing along CI\CD is the best practice in product delivery by default. We are expanding seamless integration with automated testing tool. Cypress is one of the popular testing tools now. So, we did integration with Cypress. Moreover, we implement unique functionality, which Cypress doesn't support officially or cost there expensive. Look forward to new ones!

We do use a 3rd party vendor for saving test artifacts. It is not part of our test management, but we could still ensure we make that integration seamless. We have noted your feedback. Hope our support is helpful!

What's especially helpful is the ability to link tests and test cases using IDs, streamlining our work. Plus, the dashboard provides great project metrics with coverage per feature.

Really flexible, simple and useful application for managing of the testing process

Testomat.io has solved the problem of managing both manual and automated testing process. So today we can do it in one application.

Pros

We have just started using the testomat.io application, but we are already delighted with the various features:- a large number of integrations (for example, Jira, Jenkins, Git) helps to implement the program in the already project ecosystem- possibility of smooth transfer of existing test cases from another test management system- a convenient and clear user interface makes interaction with the application extremely pleasant

Cons

Due to the fact that the application is in the process of active development, there are sometimes bugs in the application, which is natural for an application at this stage of the cycle. The support department responds quickly to requests for problems and fixes them.Much of the functionality is still under development, but should be available for use shortly.

The best for JavaScript/TypeScript automated tests

Clear and conscious reporting for manual QA and non-technical persons. Testing process became easy to go. Even newbie can get started really quickly. Transforming manual tests in automated tests are now automated fully. No manual job should be done there.

Pros

JavaScript and TypeScript are our standards for automating tests. Our test processes consist of converting manual testing into automated tests, maintaining test automation scripts, executing tests on different platforms, reporting test results, and building test analytics. We found testomat just right in time. Manual tests were managed in checklists and files. Automation QA process was separated from manual testing. We built one a stable testing approach where manual tests created in testomat, converted automatically there once script is implemented, analytics and test reporting are working automatically once no-code integration is done. Now we have superb testing process that is clear and transparent for everyone in a team.

Cons

We have several testing projects and each project has a different technology stack. Jest is used on one of such project. We wanted to configure passing meta information from logging system to testomat but it didn't work. Asked support, waiting for a fix.

Response from testomat.io

Thank you for taking the time to share this comprehensive review of your experience using our test management solution. Great, that you found testomatio handy in your daily for many test projects and, as a result, evaluated our key advantages of seamless integration with JavaScript testing frameworks. We are always looking to improve the experience for all users, so we are glad to help you deal with your challenges!

My experience using this tool

I like the simplicity of this TCMS and that whenever customers have feature requests they are accommodated. Great customer support. The price is slightly lower than the other services propose. Except of the trial period, the tool provides completely free subscription for small QA needs.

Pros

Good integration with automated tests and CI\CD platform. User-story issue management is powered not just Jira but also with AzureDevOps, and Github. I considered the possibilities of Jira integration. I was pretty surprised to know running the BDD and automated tests feature directly from Jira

Cons

In general, I liked it. However, I haven't used it yet on a commercial test project. It was postponed to the future by me.

Pros

Cons

Response from testomat.io

Thank you for your feedback! We will certainly take into account all your comments. Let us notice QA engineers can choose between two UI colour schemes, whatever makes you the most — pretty modern Dark mode or standard light interface by default.
