Bridge Makes Required Learning More Than Bearable

From a user's perspective, Bridge has made my on-the-job education much more enjoyable.

Pros

Participating in required learning is usually a drag in the workplace. Bridge, however, helps stifle that monotonous task and actually makes the process a bit more enjoyable. I recently completed my Title IX training in Bridge, and was not that bad actually. The training felt more engaging by requiring the user to click into specific module at designated times and soliciting responses to questions that were based on actual situations. Bridge also tracked my progress exactly, so when I had to pause the training and come back on a later day, I was able to pick up right where I left off.

Cons

Bridge could benefit from a more robust quizzing engine. I feel like more question types could be added. In addition, I would love to see 3rd party integrations. For example, it would be great to be able to connect your LinkedIn account and share the completion of any trainings to that network. I would also like to see badging come to Bridge. It would be pretty cool to learn new job skills via Bridge and get a digital badge as a reward that can be displayed to managers and peers alike. For example, if a manager needs to put together an ad-hoc development team, he'd be able to quickly identify those employees that have the needed skills for the purpose of the team.

So far, so great!

We are currently building out Bridge, and I'm excited to see how it grows as an employee resource. It's a one-stop shop for me, and I know I'm only scratching the surface of what I can do or move into the system from my other day-to-day responsibilities as a Training Admin. Additionally, Bridge support is phenomenal! From office hours to asking quick questions in their live chats, my issues are resolved fairly quickly.

Pros

The more that I get into the Bridge the more I like it. This LMS is new at our company, and I was tasked with becoming familiar with it and moving our current continuous training content over from our existing training site.

Courses are easy to create; from there, you can tie multiple courses into a Program or a Journey. For example, if I have multiple courses on "budgeting" then each course can be on its own or I can weave each course in a Program since all of the content is related and folks can go in and browse the courses they need to review. I'm starting to work on a "New Hire" Journey where recommended courses per job title, required compliance videos, and checkpoints to download training certificates can be uploaded which can have required approval!

I also really appreciate the Analytics features. For required courses, we can pull overdue courses and share these reports with direct managers so that they can push their teams to go in and complete training.

Cons

My company typically sends out Google Calendar invites (with virtual links when applicable) for in-house training courses. Right now, Bridge can tie into our Google Meets and display them on the "Training Calendar" within the Bridge for "Live Training" and folks have to "enroll" in the classes through the Bridge. However, since I already have to create a calendar invite via Google Calendar and send it out to our different teams, tying into the Bridge for "Live Training" would be an extra step for me. Plus, having folks log in to the Bridge, register for the class, and then join online would be having to change company culture. Maybe it can happen eventually, but for now, I wish I could use the "Training Calendar" as more of a training board to display the upcoming in-person or virtual sessions we have scheduled for the month.

I also wish that surveys were more customizable and that they could be added to Journeys. I accidentally deleted question 1 from a survey and had to recreate it but then couldn't put it back in the correct order - similar to moving pages around in courses.

Alternatives Considered

Cornerstone LMS and LRN Catalyst

Lots of support is available!

Positive overall - excited to build out our program using Bridge

Pros

Flexibility of software, lots of functionalities depending on what you're trying to build. User interface is pretty. Support team is very available to answer questions and resolve tech issues. Good knowledge/resource database.

Cons

A little overwhelming for new manager users because of all the functionality they have access to. Analytics aren't all kept in Bridge, so some exporting of reports and analyzing in excel is necessary, which isn't great

Fantastic product for all-around employee learning, development, and performance management.

Our overall experience with Bridge has been amazing. We are raving fans! It is a vital tool for us in our people strategy and has all the features we need. It is user-friendly and easy to learn and use. Its versatility makes transitioning to Bridge from another product (or no product at all) a breeze. Bridge's customer support is responsive and very helpful and our account support reps have been amazing to work with. I can't recommend Bridge enough!

Pros

Bridge brought everything we needed together in one product -- employee training, development, and performance management. Journeys are our favorite aspect of Bridge. We use these for everything from onboarding to career progression. They are so versatile that they can be used for nearly any type of structured learning or development program.

Cons

This is a difficult one because we love almost everything about Bridge. I have always said that Bridge is a 99.99% perfect solution for us, but if I had to identify one improvement, it would be the lack of the ability to categorize goals. We have performance goals and professional/personal development goals. Our employees are bonused off of performance goals, but not professional/personal development goals. While we have come up with a solution to differentiate these goal types through naming conventions, it would be helpful to be able to categorize goals within the system so they can be analyzed by goal type.

Reasons for Choosing BRIDGE

Lattice was good for what it did, but we switched to Bridge because of Lattice's limitations. We were able to get three times (or more) functionality with Bridge for almost the same cost we were paying for Lattice. The switch was a no-brainer for us.

Switched From

Lattice

Reasons for Switching to BRIDGE

We chose Bridge because of its ease-of-use and functionality. We love its deep analytics tools, on-board authoring tool, Journeys functionality, Talent and Performance review capabilities, etc. all in one tool.

The automation is ahead of the game

So easy to automate with QQ Catalyst. Getting everything from one system to the other was sooooo simple!

Pros

Texting is so nice, clients love it. Esign can be difficult, but options to send via email or phone number is extremely convenient for all parties.

Cons

Esign runs into a lot of errors. We were given good instruction on how to fix it, but the issue is on-going.

Bridge is good!

Bridge is a solid LMS. Some functionalities are still needed for it to be even better; however, it's been 3 years since I last used it and they may have solved for the reporting issues.

Pros

I felt the UIX was intuitive and easy to use. My favorite feature was the ability to list content as recommended and/or required per user/role/group. Smart groups also made assignments super easy. The dashboards and visualizations were used a ton!

Cons

Bridge reporting was difficult to sift through. At the time, it required a lot of manipulation to get the information we were looking for.

Response from Learning Technologies Group

Hi, Kaylynn! Thanks for leaving a review -- our reporting functionalities have only gotten better in recent years. We now have advanced analytics using our in-app BI tool, and the ability to schedule and send specific set reports to stakeholders. Feel free to reach out if you'd like more info!

Great Platform for Holistic Learning, Performance, and Career Growth

Overall it's been an excellent experience. The support team is very responsive and helpful, and we love the platform.

Pros

I love Bridge's holistic approach to performance, learning, and career development. Their platform seamlessly integrates talent review, performance, and career visioning tools, making it easy to support and empower employee growth at every stage

Cons

Some reporting that we need is just data dumps, which can create more work on our end. There are also some data that doesn't have the reporting or visability that we would like.

GOAT - Bridge

I would rate 4.5/5. I just love the way it is.

Pros

Earlier we were using some different LMS for the course launching and it's enrollments tracking and their progress.
But from the time we started using bridge, work life balance has increased.
Reaching out to the customer service was never that easy, until we reached Bridge, and look at their TAT. It's ossaum.

Cons

Sometimes, i feel there should have been straight contact with customer support. I mean there are numbers provided, but being from india, not sure, how to deal wiith it.

Pros

Cons

It's not really a con about the platform itself, I just always seem to forget to check my BRIDGE account for my quarterly goals and reflections.

Training is so much better with Bridge!

Overall - my Bridge experience has been great! I was the one. The CSM team is awesome and Bridge support is very helpful!

Pros

I love that the software technology is up to date and a the features and tools are actually useful and cool to use. My company purchased Bridge Learn last year and we were looking for a system that would allow us to incorporate video training course and structure training plans for our compliance courses and help with engaging our new hires during orientation. We got more than what we expected out of the software! Now with over a year into the system - we are fully implemented at both our TN and Mass facilities and the employees LOVE the fact that now they have a system to help give them the skills they need for their next promotion. Our managers and supervisors love the platform cause it gives them the freedom to develop their staff members how they see fit - and to it is also an opportunity for them to brush up on any skills they feel they need to improve in. Overall the system is great!

Cons

I love everything about the software, but I do wish there was a way to customize the reports. Most of the reports are already determined for the system. But I hope in the future Bridge will create away to do this and allow the admins to create their own reports.

Bridge is pretty good but needs some things.

Overall I really like Bridge and it has been easy to work with. Reporting could be a little better and I think there should be some kind of email that goes out to managers when their learners are not completing assigned courses.

Pros

I like that we can author directly into Bridge. Very easy to setup a quick course and add testing to the new module.

Cons

I have had an issue with SCORM files. When learners failed I had to manually reset the learner to allow them to retake the course.

An LMS for the modern learner

Pros

Bridge is very simple and easy to use. Users seem to understand how to use the environment intuitively. It's designed not to need a mobile app because it's so adaptive. When you get the package with perform, you are able to plan and coordinate one-on-ones with your supervisor and sent agendas. It also helps you see how long it has been since the last one-on-one. Authoring courses are really easy on the site. SCORM uploads are simple and Bridge seems the best at backward compatibility with SCORM files.

Cons

While Bridge works really well on tablet devices, it's not as good on a phone. The adaptive design is very responsive on most devices, but seems to overlap a lot on a phone screen.

An Updated Training System

Overall, I'm very happy with the software and it seems like a good move for our company. Our staff have an easy time navigating the system, which is the largest part of the battle. It's user friendly and current!

Pros

Bridge is easily customized and though I'm not involved in making the training modules for our company, it seems to meet our needs completely. It's easy to navigate and is organized nicely. It has several methods in which you can view the information, so whether you want to visually see it all on a graph, or you prefer your information be exported into a documentation to quick check numbers, this can be done too. It's current, modern, and relatively easy to train on as well.

Cons

Due to the permissions that were set for our company (by our company), my personal usage was not working appropriately. The training department was able to find a very easy and appropriate work around that actually works better than my true permissions should've.

Great, Simple, and Clean Learning Management System

Bridge is a great way to host online training for our company. The simple interface made sure that the users were very clear in what to do next and admins were able to oversee the training easily.

Pros

Bridge is very easy to use, they intentionally make it intuitive so that anyone with or without experience can hit the ground running. Options to create simple training presentations from within the LMS without any additional software is helpful. User interface is very simple so it's obvious what the required courses are.

Cons

The branding wasn't as robust as we would have liked, since some external organizations take our training. The quizzes were simple to create, but there weren't many options to make them more interactive. Although the clean interface was nice, some thought it made it feel empty and plain.

Bridge has made learning easier for our company

We have been using Bridge for 4 months to train independent sales agents for our company. Being geographically disparate, we needed an easy to use, cloud- hosted platform that allows us to ensure every single sales agent has the exact same baseline of knowledge. We leverage programs as REQUIRED tasks for every learner and then a robust learning library to provide even more education. The intuitive and simple design for learners removes clutter and puts courses and learning at the forefront.

The implementation process is simply wonderful- our customer success manager and implementation consultants made the entire process extraordinary. Beyond just managing the implementation process, they gave us insight on Instructional Design, roll-out and adoption, ensuring we were on track to launch on our goal date, linking us up with other departments for greater insight and for being generally amazing people to work with.

Reporting is lacking robustness and fidelity as of early May 2016 but is improving.

Their customer service team is phenomenal and every single staff member is equipped and capable to resolve every issue on the spot. There has never been an instance where the issue wasn't resolved during the live chat session.

Powerful LMS tool!

Excellent learning software, I'm a really big fan!

Pros

I really like how easy it is to not only consume trainings, but also create them. There are several tools to help learners learn (surveys, quizzes, etc).

Cons

I suppose its the nature of sequential learning, but it follows a specified story/journey where you can't easily jump around to different topics while in an active session.

Pros

The ease of use for the authors and admins is a huge plus. The users enjoy it, and it has been simple for them to learn. They like having the information at their fingertips, and it is so easy to use that they have adopted very quickly. The support team for implementation was great, and the continuing support team is phenomenal.
