Efficient and User-Friendly, but Pricey for B2B
My experience with Shopify has been largely positive. The platform's intuitive design and wide range of features make it a powerful tool for e-commerce businesses. However, the high pricing for B2B services could be a deterrent for some. Despite this, Shopify remains a top choice for its ease of use and comprehensive marketing solutions.
Pros
Shopify impresses with its well-structured interface and ease of onboarding, making it simple to set up an online store even for beginners. The checkout process is seamless, ensuring a smooth experience for customers. Additionally, the platform offers a plethora of marketing apps, helping businesses stay competitive and effectively reach their audience.
Cons
The main drawback of Shopify is its pricing plan for the B2B segment, which is quite high. This can be a significant concern for businesses looking to scale up or those operating with tight budgets.

Shopify for beginners
Pros
It's a great platform to quickly build your store in just 1 or 2 days, without knowing much about web development.
Cons
There are not many roles implemented for different types of admins working in shopify, and to gain child or parent access you need to pay extra amount.

A complete Platform for Business Ecommerce, with just a few Minor Drawbacks
Shopify is a great, complete platform that suits my ecommerce needs.
It's quite easy to set up, it has huge support and tutorials, price is decent for all the offering, and it's integrated with anything you could imagine.
There's a few things I don't like, such as how the website editing is, which I think is noticeably worse than Squarespace, but it's a complete package that gives small businesses everything they need.
Pros
It's an all-in-one platform that includes everything you need to sell online. From invoicing and payments, to integrations, to customization and user behaviour tracking.
The marketplace of apps and integrations is huge, and there's the right app integration for everything you need.
The support is huge, and there's many tutorials available to get the most out of the platform.
Cons
There is a learning curve with the product: the website builder is not very flexible, if compared to Squarespace. The User experience in building from a template is very limited and not guided at the beginning.
If you want to change one page with another for example, it's required to get into the code folders and copy-paste the code from one page to the other.
Apart from these minor things, that are easily solvable thanks to the good documentation and videos, the product is very solid

Good platform, easy to use
Good, used it for 4 years and it works very well even due its lacking in some of the more advanced settings and system
Pros
Simple, easy to use, a lot of integrations, apps and the speed to go from idea to finish
Cons
There are a couple of items and things that cannot be changed, updated or edited from our side and it becomes a frustration when we know how to do it and see a simple solution but cannot implement it due to Shopify needing to edit that part

The Go-To Platform for Building Your Online Store
Overall, Shopify has been a fantastic platform for building and running my online store. It’s user-friendly and packed with powerful features that make e-commerce simple and efficient. Despite a few extra costs, the value it provides is well worth it. It’s been an essential part of my business’s growth.
Pros
I love how easy Shopify makes it to set up and manage an online store. The platform is incredibly intuitive, and the templates are both professional and customizable. Their app store is a huge bonus— it offers so many integrations and tools to grow and enhance your business. Plus, the payment options are seamless and secure, which gives customers a great shopping experience.
Cons
The pricing can add up quickly, especially when you start adding apps or need advanced features. Some apps that are almost necessary for scaling aren’t free, which can be a challenge for smaller businesses. Also, a few customizations require coding knowledge or hiring a developer.

Easy to use, functional, but integration could be better
Easy to work with and does a good enough job for what we need. If you want something that is more than functional, looks good, and is easy to use, definitely use Shopify.
However, if you have an existing high level site (like we did) and need a bolt on webshop, it will not be seamless and will look different to your existing site.
Pros
Very intuitive and easy to use. Even for basic technical level marketer, the drag and drop elements as well as the modules make it easy to build a good looking website without being an expert coder.
Cons
Some of the internal systems weren't that easy to integrate. It was also a bit difficult to match the website up to our existing Hubspot and make it look exactly the same as an extension of the site, rather than a seperate site.

Easier to use and made it easier to match to our existing site- Industry: Health, Wellness & Fitness

Would definitely use again
I started overhauling our website and working on our new online store in January 2024. It went live to the public in September 2024. So, it took us nine months to get everything in order the way we wanted to have it. Honestly I think that is a fair amount of time. I am coming from having some web experience but I had never done a project like this before. If I was to do it again, it could be done in half the time. It just seemed like every day there was something new to learn. Would 100% use Shopify for future projects, and would recommend them to others, especially beginners who want a beautiful finished product and an easy to learn system.
Pros
After much deliberation of which online platform to use for our online store, we settled on Shopify for its user-friendliness. I am not an expert, yet I was able to set up a successful, beautiful online store with nearly 1,000 products. While I enjoy Shopify's chat support, we also tag teamed with a Shopify Expert to do some coding for us. Their chat support could help with most non-code related issues though, which was very appreciated.
Cons
One thing we have found difficult about Shopify is the amount of apps you need to install in order to have your site running with all the features you would want. We bought a pretty extensive theme, but are still using apps for features such as a wishlist, a quick reorder option in the "account" page for return patients, adding expiration dates to products, etc. They are not all expensive but together, they add up. Another downside for us is we sell vitamins and supplements which are on Shopify Payments restricted list, so we needed to find a third party processor. With this processor, Shopify charges us additional percentage, on top of what we pay the third party processor, simply because we are not using their payments system. The additional cost has been something we have to weigh out and consider, but it has been worth it to be able to bring our business of 20+ years to the online market.

Great Platform for Building a Small Business
As a small business owner of a gym apparel company, I couldn't see my shop being on any platform other than Shopify. Since day one of using Shopify, their user-friendly platform has been very intuitive, and getting my shop's site set up was a breeze. Everything from the quick customization of my shop's website to being able to handle the logistics of shipping easily has made my experience wonderful. I'm excited to see what new features they continue to develop.
Pros
Their online support is extremely helpful and quick with response time. The ability to have social media integrations tied directly into Shopify is exceptionally useful for advertising and using this data to expand our customer base.
Cons
At times, Shopify can rely heavily on third-party apps to take care of simple features that are either underdeveloped in their capability to perform or just nonexistent. For example, the Shopify Reviews app wasn't comparable to other review apps from developers and was finally closed down. I hope Shopify will work on creating their own apps for simple features in the future so shop owners don't have to seek outside alternatives and pay additional fees to use the apps.

A powerful and user-friendly solution with a price tag to match
Apart from the price, it was everything I expected and more.
Pros
The level of control, ease of setting up an online store with inventory tracking, online payments, parcel shipping integration and intuitive management panel.
Cons
It is pricy, especially for a small starting store with virtually no sales yet. The option to "park" the website for a period of time when things are slow is helpful, however, it is a considerable expense for a starting business.

Is Shopify the BEST for Ecommerce?
Overall it has been positive, and I do believe one of the best options out there for ecommerce businesses.
Pros
After trying a couple of different platforms, I have found Shopify to be the most robust and customizable and very accessible for small businesses.
Cons
Unfortunately, there are a lot of moving pieces, and it can be overwhelming for an entrepreneur to try and navigate their platform for the first time. Although the building of the website is direct, a lot of common-sense items seem to be missing and that means needing to either pay for an app to add on the needed features or needing to pay to have someone code it into the backend.

Great for Growing an E-commerce Business with Customizable Options!
Shopify is a solid choice for anyone looking to build and grow an online store, especially those looking for a platform that scales as they grow. It has a range of features to support growth, a supportive community, and a wide range of integrations. Just be mindful of the additional costs as your store expands.
Pros
Shopify is a versatile platform for building an online store, and it’s well-suited for both beginners and more advanced users. The setup is straightforward, with a vast selection of beautiful, customizable themes that make designing the storefront easy. Shopify’s app marketplace offers many tools to integrate for added functionality—like marketing, analytics, and dropshipping options—that can help scale a business. Plus, the support is responsive and typically helpful, making it a reliable option for maintaining a smooth-running store.
Cons
While Shopify’s core features are solid, costs can add up quickly. Some key features (such as advanced reporting and certain apps) are locked behind higher-tier plans or come with additional fees, which might not be ideal for very small businesses. Also, the transaction fees can be a downside unless you use Shopify Payments, so it’s worth factoring this into the overall cost.

It's Good Not Great
Shopify has been good. However, at times, the website does glitch and becomes unaccessible. I often received error messages. Editing the website has been challenging, as the backend layout is not user friendly. Even the assistance by Google or Youtube is not always helpful.

Cons

Shopify At A Glance
Overall its a very significant and user friendly e-commerce platform, in spite of its cost and other limitations.
Pros
I like Shopify as it allows easy setting up of an online store . There is great customer support through out the entire experience. It is very user friendly and straight forward there is however some technicalities when stocking or finding products for the shop .That's my personal view anyway . once the step by step procedure is correctly followed ,the store can be launched in no time. The features available with Shopify are inclusive of payment processing ,inventory management , how you ship , as well as tools for marketing. They also provide on going customer support.
Cons
I find Shopify to be very costly especially as a beginner , as there is a monthly subscription fee even before you sell an item . This in particular as led me to temporarily close my Shopify store ,as it has proven to be quite difficult to sell my first item.

Effortless Digital Sales with Shopify - I Made Over $20K Last Year!
I sell digital products online, and Shopify has been the best solution I’ve found. Once everything is set up, it’s like making money in your sleep—it’s amazing! Last year, I made over $20K in sales, so it’s definitely been worth it!
Pros
I started by using Shopify's Buy Button, which was perfect when I had just a few products to sell. It was easy to install and got me up and running quickly. But as my store grew, I decided to upgrade to a full Shopify website. I love it! The website is user-friendly, making it simple for people to navigate, and I found a theme that was easy to set up and customize. Plus, their customer support has been super helpful whenever I need assistance.
Cons
Sometimes, because Shopify is such a feature-rich platform, I can get a bit confused about how certain things work. But whenever that happens, a quick Google search always leads me to a helpful tutorial that clears things up.

Need to sell your product online? Shopify is a good choice.
I was very happy that their customer service team was very responsive in helping to setup special things, like sizes, shipping issues, taxation issues, etc. It's not the most intuitive system, but it works good.
Pros
Shopify has a variety of features that most users will find useful and helpful. The system is hosted on their platform, so that helps with security. Inventory control is spot-on, and sales reporting is good. This is a system that is easy for a novice user to use, though once it is set up.
Cons
The setup can be a bit complicated, especially adding features like taxes, sizes, etc. But, once you have it all setup, it's easy to use going forward.

One of the best ecommerce platforms
I loved the Shopify app because of how flexible it was.
It gave me all the freedom I needed to run my e-commerce store. While you would need a developer for more advanced features, I didn't have to code or learn anything technical when setting up my store.
All in all, I highly recommend Shopify to anybody looking to start up their online store.
Pros
It has many integrated payment options, making it easy for sellers to have customers from all over the world.
Also, its easy-to-use themes and fast loading speed time make it a good choice.
Lastly, a basic Shopify store can be up and running in about 30 minutes i.e it doesn't require any coding to set up a Shopify store
Cons
The lack of a free version on Shopify. New users are only given 3 days to determine if they want to use the platform, which isn't enough.
Also, to add advanced features to your store, you would need a developer which can be expensive.
Lastly, shopify has very poor settings and features in regard to SEO marketing.
