The nightmare that wasn't
I have been a psychiatrist for over 30 years. I still write my session notes in longhand and do not store records on a computer but in a filing cabinet under lock and key. So when the state passed the law that I have to use electronic scripts, I expected a nightmare.
The nightmare did not materialize. Initial set up was not the easiest, but then I am not computer savvy. Once the set up was completed and I learned the ins and outs of the process, I am delighted to have this!
It is easier to renew scripts, easier to track prescriptions, and it definitely decreases the chances of an erroneous prescription. Safety increased! Documentation improved! Less time is spent renewing prescriptions as I no longer need to call in the scripts.
Pros
Once I learned it, it is a piece of cake.
Cons
Some aspects are not intuitive, but that's me. Help was easily accessible and helpful.

Paying for RXNT is Paying for a Software that Doesn't Work and Paying to Add Unnecessary...
Stressful and terrible on all fronts. Would not recommend to anyone.
Pros
The only good thing about RXNT is that it is cheaper than other options, but you get what you pay for because it is absolutely terrible.
Cons
Doesn't work for patients. Patients are more often than not not able to register for their portal or fill out paperwork. Software has lots of "bugs" that none of the employees never know how to fix. The billing software does not work. I have been using this software for over a year for my practice and they still have not been able to get it fully setup for me. Save yourself time and stress and don't use RXNT. Choose another software even if it is more expensive. I am in the process of switching now and wish I would have never started with this company in the first place.

Hi Britany, we're sorry to hear that you and your patients have had a negative experience with RXNT. We do everything we can to meet the unique needs of every client, and we have comprehensive procedures in place surrounding setup, software updates, etc. Setup and migration are a collaborative process, and they require an active role and some manual work to ensure our software meets the needs of your business. Patient registrations are also something handled by the practice from within our EHR or Scheduling products. It looks like a vast majority of your support tickets have been addressed fully and successfully, and we can assure you that our support staff works very hard to ensure that any issues are addressed promptly and effectively, and we are 100% committed to your success. Our team has already been in contact with you, but for any additional concerns related to the review above please contact [email protected]!

Buyer Beware
It was absolutely awful. From the start it was clunky, pt feedback on the experience signing up was terrible. Customer Support was non-existent. I have met with them multiple times and they have been unable to fix any of the issues (consent forms not working, Telehealth not working). I created multiple tickets. Their response was "we said we are looking into it". They promised me a functional program they DID NOT deliver. Worst of all they are still making me pay monthly! The contract says they will provide a functional program and they can't do that!!! I went the KAREO. A bit more expensive but worth it. I am sure they will respond to this (although they seem pretty clueless). They DID not deliver any promises in the contract PLAIN and SIMPLE.
Pros
They make it seem like its low cost but they then add on fee after fee. I actually liked nothing. Even the interface is sloppy
Cons
Telehealth is external to RXNT, Customer support is terrible. They seem to know nothing about their own program. Had to figure out all on my own.

Executive Director RN.
My overall experience is this is a very helpful tool for our agency to use as a hospice. I can send my orders and requests over for my physicians to complete as directed.
Pros
It is simple to use and access. I enjoy the prefill for medications and the ease of script writing.
Cons
It can be very confusing if you do not have information entered clearly and correctly for your patient

Abysmally Inadequate Support Staff For New Authentication Process
There stance in this recent authentication process to me is medically dangerous as patients on controlled drugs who can't come off cold turkey must have had their Rx's delayed because of the absence of support staff to teach MD's to use new system. It strikes me as irresponsible if a business can be called irresponsible. And they are I the health care business.
Pros
When it is up and running it is comparatively easy to use.
Cons
100's or 1000's of MD's (according to their own customer service reps) have been left high and dry and unable to prescribe controlled meds because they rolled out a new DEA regulated new authentication process without hiring enough support staff so that I have literally spent hours and hours on hold trying to get a rep to help. The support staff is lovely but the process is a nightmare.
Response from RXNT
Thank you for the feedback! We’re sorry to hear that you’re having a less-than-stellar experience with the new processes and our support staff. This transition reflects our firm commitment to implementing the most effective and recommended security protocols. Our goal is to provide tools and resources that optimize workflows and enhance security for our users and their patients. This new process is designed to be completed by practices independently, with support from RXNT available if needed. We understand that new protocols can be challenging, and we worked hard to provide ample notice. Beginning with an email on September 18th, we sent 13 subsequent emails, text messages, and in-product notifications, and hosted webinars to ensure awareness and preparedness. We can assure you that our support staff is working hard to ensure that issues are addressed promptly and effectively in the order they are received. Please reach out to [email protected], and we’ll be happy to help!

Pleasant Experience with RXNT
I've had a great experience with RXNT. If I have a question I can search through topics or I can chat.
Pros
It is so user-friendly and easy to navigate. If I ever had an issue, I could search for a training deck or chat with someone. Everyone was so friendly and easy to work with. The training was amazing.
Cons
I think the set up should be more streamlined and easier to complete.

Worst Company
We have been with RXNT for over a year. Was great when we first started, now we spend all day submitting support tickets. You can never get a hold of anyone over the phone. Its hard to run a medical office when the website is always down. All they every want to blame it on is your cache or cookies to be cleaned. You can only clear it so much over and over and over.
Pros
Nothing, the system is always not working
Cons
That the system never works. You have to send multiple support tickets a day to find out why things don't work. No one has time to sit around waiting for things to get fixed.
Response from RXNT
This user is no longer a current client of RXNT. We're sorry they had trouble with the system and with our support team, however, our customer service team works hard to ensure that issues are addressed promptly and effectively. The former client communicated their frustration in a disrespectful, threatening, and verbally abusive manner. This was unacceptable and RXNT does not tolerate customers treating our team members in such a manner. We are committed to resolving customer concerns, but we request that communication be conducted in a professional manner. For any concerns related to the review above, please contact [email protected] and we'll be happy to help!

RXNT is an amazing EHR/EMR and e-script software!
Overall, RXNT has been great and I don’t plan on switching to any other software.

Pros

Dr C. Ziomek
Good in general. It is really nice to get faxes directly into RXNT.
Pros
Ability to e-prescribe and the ability to make notes without templates.
Cons
After an encounter is printed out the words are too small to read easily. It would also be helpful to be able to chose what to print to give to the patient, for example, just the assessment and plan. It would be helpful to be able to move from one encounter to another for a given patient more easily when reviewing their prior appointments.
