Functional and helpful
Pros
I like that I don't need to use my personal number for business calls.
Cons
Sometimes notifications lag in coming through on my computer. Sometimes calls will get missed because they don't ring until it's too late to answer them or will just show up as missed calls.

RingEX in a Pharmacy Setting
It's been great. We migrated over to Ring Central from Mitel and it's been worlds different. Definitely a better experience in EX!
Pros
It's very user friendly for both the agents and the administrators. It's nice to be able to fax, call, text and message all within one app.
Cons
Some of the reporting for RingEX is lacking. Most of what I needed I was able to find though.

RING CENTRAL
The customer support was not very helpful. They used terms that I didn't understand, and no one was willing to help me understand. For example, I do not know what Ping means or how to do a "Speed test." Their ways of troubleshooting were not ever helpful.
Pros
The app was easy to use when making calls away from the office.
Cons
Not reliable for our technicians when out in the field. The call wouldn't go thru, causing our techs to have to block their personal numbers resulting in customers not recognizing the phone number and not answering.

Great VOIP service provider
The system has been excellent and reliable.
Pros
It is quite efficient and effective to have several key business services in one spot. Telephony, group chat, text, fax, video conferencing. The reporting features and analytics are also very helpful.
Cons
4 stars because the system needs to integrate a global address feature that can be populated by admins without uploading archaic lists of external contacts (which is very difficult and not intuitive).
Also the ability to configure the application's user interface remotely for each user would also be great.

Ring Central makes getting your calls across the business system easy and seemless
Overall a positive experience. It is an easy interface, makes getting calls anywhere easy, even abroad because the app allows me to receive calls if I am on wifi, and fills all our calling and texting needs.
Pros
I like that I can get the office calls on my cell if I (or any of us) are out of the office, and can even transfer back a call to someone who is in the office. I like that the system includes texting because many of our clients prefer text to email so we can still use the business line for text communication with these clients.
Cons
There used to be some glitches with the app, it would restart or sometimes the app signal was not so strong but that seems to have gotten much better

Centralizing our external communications
We use RingEX and Ring Central for all of our phone calls and meetings with customers. It is a great way to keep everything all in one place for our external communications.
Pros
RingEX is great for Ring Central customers to centralize all of the text, phone and video capabilities of your account.
Cons
We have not had great experiences with their customer support and billing teams.

One Stop Shopping For Remote Workers & Nomadic Offices
Our office used RingCentral for all it's telephony (calls, text, voice mail) needs for over 3 years.
We rarely experienced outages or issues and it allow us to maintain a local Canadian office phone number despite working 100% remotely.
Unlike some VoIP competitors it also had built in text message services which made SMS authentication through text seamless.
Pros
RingCentral allowed our office to keep it's dedicated Canadian office phone number and take that office phone global with it's VoIP system.
We we're able to use text authentication services, call clients, and keep our office going from any location in the world.
Cons
RingCentral offers more than most VoIP services - mainly because of it's dedicated app. That said the cost of this service is far more than most of it's competitors.
It's an expensive solution unless easy of use outweighs cost.

Great platform for VOIP
Overall we have enjoyed using this new platform and it meets our company compliance needs for phone calls in the insurance industry.
Pros
Auto call recording, the phone app for desktop and mobile as well as being able to see in real time call status of colleagues is a key to this program. The message feature is a must as well.
Cons
Would like better instruction/direction on the MPV integration with Microsoft Dynamics CRM

RingCentral MVP is great for internal collaboration
Although we do not love their customer service department, overall it is worth the money.
Pros
It was easy to install, and it is easy to use.
Cons
The customer service department is improving but it still takes a long time to resolve issues. There is a lot of waiting on hold for unimportant tasks.

RingCentral for the remote worker
Pros
I love that I can use my ring central number instead of my work or personal cell phone number to reach clients. Since I work from home, I do not want clients having my personal or business number and ring central allows that. I can call a client via ring central and if they call me back it is through that number. Another great feature is setting do not disturb hours so that calls will not come in after business hours based on time zone. I also like that when I receive a call, I have the choice to answer via my mobile phone or computer since the application is on both.
Cons
Nothing at this time, using this feature is a great resource to remote workers.

MSP Use Case for RingCentral
Overall, our experience both using and reselling RingCentral has been very positive. Our staff and clients use these products daily and while we do need to work through occasional issues, these are more often training based than product issue based.
Pros
We both use and resell RingCentral. Our self-use is for our IT Service Desk support number and this works wonderfully. It provides us the flexibility to be out in the field and still receive calls from our clients. The medical practices that we've migrated to a RingCentral phone solution find great value in the additional features beyond just a plain old desk phone. These include faxing, SMS messaging, video conferencing, call analytics, etc..
Cons
There are times where it can be difficult to work with the RingCentral sales team and support teams. That said, if you are patient and persistent with them you can almost always reach your end goal.

An alternative for a phone number for freelancers
We tried different call applications but this one was the best! I am working as a freelancer with US based company, and this application gave me freedom to call, receive calls and voice mails and get done my job very fast and easy. Easy to set up.
Pros
Inliked the voice mail option, since I am working in a different time zone, remotely.
Cons
Nothing major, just sometimes I need to re-log in.

Not the worst or best
We used this because Ringcentral was a client and we got a good deal on it. I prefer using the phone system built into Hubspot directly.
Pros
Ring central covers the basics and is an industry leader. It is very good with computer/mobile integrations as well as recording and tracking calls.
Cons
Not the best service, on voip connections at times.

Its just ok
Pros
I have used Ring Central for 4 years or so. It is easy to use, but drops calls alot. Sometimes callers will say they cannot hear me.
Cons
Dropping of calls, disconnects calls. Would like for Ring Central to help with that.

Needs Improvement
Overall, ring central is very effective. I am able to see my calls and text in one app.
Pros
I like that I am able to see who is calling members of my team on my desk top. I can see if the answer a call or not.
Cons
I don't like the fact that when a call is transferred from another party, the call does not record.

The setup was a little rocky, was called one afternoon for setup in the middle of the work day , BUT worth the hassle. Phone system is awesome!!

A little tricky sometimes but overall great system!
It has been extremely beneficial to have a unified system across all of our locations. Being able to pick up the central line when staff is available regardless of where they are located has been a total game changer for our teams.
Pros
The set up was pretty easy overall and being able to assign phones for home use on the fly was imperative during the pandemic. The call forwarding system is amazing and very reliable.
Cons
Have had a few hiccups with some of the handsets not working correctly and "park"s getting stuck but customer service has always been very responsive to our issues.

Great phone system with some room for improvement
Pros
Enables us to setup teachers with Soft phones on their mobile phones, enabling them to call parents using the school's main phone number as their call-back number.
Cons
The phone app is slow to respond at times, ringing 5 or 6 seconds after the desk phone (all settings are to ring all simultaneously)There are at least 2 or 3 different sets of instructions to setting up a hot desk phone, none of them helped, so the documentation on their website desperately needs a review

Amazing
I love that I'm able to get calls on multiple phones and can connect and disconnect from a call without any issues,
Pros
The feature we fine most intriguing is the capacity for voicemail automation that captures our business name. I love that my clients can call and text our business number. Out e-fax has been the best feature because I can get faxes from anywhere. Customer service is also amazing.
