For Ecommerce platforms, WooCommerce offers the best value for money by far.
I have been building and running many of my own Woocommerce stores over the past 15 years, personally designing, building and publishing the stores as well as sourcing the products, managing the logistics, order processing and customer care.
Over the past 5 years,, I have been doing the same for clients, including SEO and online marketing of the Woocommerce stores.
Pros
The basic Woocommerce platform delivers all the features needed to run a successful e-commerce shop for most industries or niche services.
The thousands of specialist plugins that expand on this basic platform make it suitable for any specialisation you can think of.
On top of it all, the platform is free and most plugins have a free tier that is sufficient for most situations.
All you need to add is hosting, a domain, some WordPress knowledge and time and you can build a powerful ecommmerce store withouot the high monthly rates of competing platforms.
Cons
You need to invest some time in learning the basics of the platform if you want to build you own store. Alternatively, you can engage a WordPress developer at reasonable rates to build your site.

I love WooCommerce!
I love using WooCommerce. It's the best store platform I've used for a long time. It's easy to customise it for what I need and integrates with a lot of other platforms and payment providers to make selling easy. There's a lot of plugin options that range from free to paid to cover what you want to offer all in one place. The app also makes it easy to track sales and update customers on dispatch and posting details etc. Overall I'd 100% recommend WooCommerce.
Pros
Love how easy it is to set up and how many different plugins you can get to customise it exactly how you need it.
Cons
There is a bit of a learning curve but there are also plenty of how to walkthroughs online to make using it easier.

ShopifyReasons for Choosing WooCommerce
The pricing for Squarespace kept going up while the features stayed largely the same. I made the decision to switch to wordpress for my site and so installing WooCommerce was a no brainer. The functionality and customisation options are fantastic, especially for the price when most of the things you need to get started are free.Switched From
SquarespaceReasons for Switching to WooCommerce
I decided not to go with Shopify because, while it was easier to set up and use straight away, there was a monthly fee to pay from the beginning and I wasn't sure how much I'd use it. I also needed to move my main website and wordpress with WooCommerce allowed me the flexibility to set up my site and have different plugins depending on what I needed from my site. I also wasn't sure how popular my online store would be and not having to pay a monthly fee with WooCommerce was a more attractive option.- Industry: Internet

WooCommerce - Meh…
Frustration, angst which led to wondering - why isn’t there a competitor solution for my Wordpress sites?
Pros
It works with Wordpress. But requires additional plugins to allow functionality that one would think was built in already
Cons
Because it’s a server side software solution, it can be a dog to use.

As good as it gets for Wordpress e-commerce
To be honest it really works and the plugins available to customize are many. My only issue es mostly with Wordpress itself as a platform can be cumbersome to manage for e-commerce through woocommerce que you start to get more traffic or have more specific needs.
Pros
The best option for e-commerce using Wordpress
Cons
Wordpress as an e-commerce platform is not the most robust choice.

Great Ecommerce Tool
I love WooCommerce. I use it to build my Ecommerce website and those of my clients. Processing sales, marketing using coupons and it’s integration to many email marketing software makes it even amazing.
Pros
I love how seemless it is to use WooCommerce with WordPress. It’s easier to use it to collect payment and easy to use.
Cons
The only cons I have is that you need to buy some more tools if you need to use some advance features but most of those features are just addons.

Easy to start, hard to optimise
Pros
Is the 2nd fastest tool to create an ecommerce in less than 1 hour.
You are in control of your checkout process and your money, and you are not forced to pay fees on every sell
Cons
You need to pay a lot of plugins or have your coders in order to optimise everything. There is a lot of things you cannot do without coding

Using WooCommerce to sell courses
I used WooCommerce to sell in-person courses and tickets to events. I also had a small selection of merchandise on the platform. It served a purpose and my clients found it simple to use.
Pros
I simple, clean interface and a variety of display options for my shop.
Cons
You can't link to calendars in the same way you can a booking system.
Reasons for Switching to WooCommerce
It was included in my WordPress package so I didn't have to pay anything extra for it. The fees were also low.- Industry: Marketing & Advertising

WooCommerce is brilliant for MultiPurpose sites
Woo Commerce has allowed us to push our sales to online, it provides somewhere easy for us to send our existing customers to look up what we have in stock, and possibly open us up for sales from outside the area.
Pros
The built in inventory management and easy of use for those familiar with wordpress is brilliant. The fact that you can upgrade and existing business site to add the functionality later on is brilliant.
Cons
Shipping in our country (NZ) costs a lot to get set up properly with plugins. If you are happy setting up shipping classes and then sometimes loosing out when people buy more than what you can ship for their size box, then its fine.
Reasons for Switching to WooCommerce
As we already had an exsisting WordPress website it made the transition way easier.- Industry: Retail

Woocomerce Review
Have used it for years and it's gotten better and better and is the cornerstone of my online store.
Pros
It's very intuitive and user friendly and gives a detailed presentation of our products and is very easy to integrate with 3rd party services.
Cons
The mobile app for store management is a bit laggy and creating and integrating a mobile app is a bit confusing.

Enables any business to perform like a store.
It's usually a positive experience. To be fair, it is the pricing of WooCommerce addons that puts me off sometimes.
Pros
Woocommerce allows even the smallest of shops to push their products across the internet.
Cons
It can rarely be used "out of the box". It takes a lot to set up and isn't for unknowledgeable users. But then, I'm happy to set it up for our clients which means all they need to do is edit their inventory or add new products.

Affordable ecommerce platform
Overall it's good. There are quite a few compromises (ease of use, inventory tracking) but if you need to run an ecommerce store on a small budget, this is a great option.
Pros
It's a great entry point platform, given its open source and free to start using.
Cons
The user interface can be improved and made easier to use. Given the free nature of the app, it's also likely to attract small solo business users who may not be tech savvy, so it could do with more work on the UI front.
Secondly, for an ecommerce tool, it should really have better inventory management features built in.

One of the Most Diverse E-Commerce/Website Options on the Market
I believe that WooCommerce has been a very great option for our businesses and it has allowed us to do everything we have dreamed and imagined to date!
Pros
The diversity of what you can build out using all the extensions, plugins, etc. Everything integrates with WooCommerce as well so it has been easy to integrate things like widgets from our review platform, signup forms for our membership, etc.
Cons
Sometimes, depending on what you are wanting to do, it can take a miriad of plugins to get the job done.

Satisfied from start to finish
Although like any plugin it can improve some aspects, I highly value its easy integration with WordPress, which is the CMS I use for my website, the great community and support available, and its basic but complete functionality to manage an online business in a simple way. It has exceeded my initial expectations to get me started in e-commerce and grow my reach to new customers. I will continue to learn tricks and customize my store to get better results month after month
Pros
I mainly liked the ease of use and integration of WooCommerce. Being able to create my products quickly and easily, adding images and details such as colors, sizes, etc. was an important advantage when managing my online store. The customization it allows on the front-end also allowed me to adapt it to the design and style I wanted for my brand. Another functionality that I valued was natively secure payments through gateways such as PayPal, which streamlined the purchasing process for my clients
Cons
What I liked least was the limited customization in the back-end and administration panels. Although you can modify the fields of the order forms, it is not easy to customize the structure and design of the administration area much further. This could be improved to give more advanced configuration options to those who require it. Another point to improve are some processes that are not very intuitive, such as inventory management requiring more steps than necessary

Avant-garde soul and design
Although it required patience and effort during the initial implementation, I was able to implement very advanced functionality for my store in a short time. In addition, its performance and security have allowed me to gradually scale sales. The community around this platform is very active and we find quick solutions to any problem with the documentation or discussion forums. I would definitely recommend WooCommerce to any entrepreneur for its power and flexibility
Pros
What I liked most about WooCommerce was its great flexibility and customization capacity. Thanks to its architecture based on plugins, themes and extensions, I was able to configure exactly the online store I needed for my business. I had the opportunity to test various payment methods, shipping logistics, theme designs, among other optimizations. In addition, its native integration with WordPress allowed me to take full advantage of the CMS's functionalities to create content and manage my store in a very intuitive way
Cons
What I liked least about WooCommerce was that since it is an open source platform, the learning curve is somewhat longer than other e-commerce solutions. It required spending extra time at the beginning to familiarize myself with all of its configuration parameters, database tables, and templating system. I also missed a larger library of natively available themes, although I realized that this is offset by the flexibility to create custom layouts

Woocommerce is the 'go to' for e-commerce
Wouldn't go anywhere else to start building a shop and with literally hundreds of plugins available there is little you cannot achieve.
Pros
Easy to use with many inbuilt features to give you most standard things to design a shop.
Cons
First time learning curve is high, but once you done it once is much easier.

Such a time saver
Pros
It saves us a lot of time with our inventory management as it gives you low stock alerts in real time. It also enables our customers to track their entire order with the integrations.
Cons
I can honestly say I don't think there is anything I do not like about it.

Managing orders on the go!
Overall, WooCommerce exceeds our expectations and we will keep using for the years to come!
Pros
I am fond of WooCommerce to be honest. For the past 8 months, we have reached figures we would never have made without WooCommerce. Managing order right from our mobile devices, changing order statuses from on-hold to completed, after matching with the financial records was so fast and easy. The ability to add custom notes be it for the customer (who receives a note) or privately (for our team) was game changing in terms of customer management. It is like having both a product management system and a CRM within the same dashboard.
Cons
Many of the useful features are paid add-ons, for instance the shipping status updates.

Quite good software for basic shops
As a developer, I created many shops for my clients. It is a good software for basic ecommerce needs. There are many free plugins for it, but often there is a need to buy additional subscription plugins. So it appears that it is free, but in reality it is not. So you are left with writing extensions by yourself or keep paying for extentions.
Pros
- Basic functionality is free
- Enough for most ecommerce needs
- Easy to set up
- Quite good documentation
Cons
- For more advanced functions you need a lot of paid plugins
- Seems a litle bit bloated

User friendly, easy to integrate.
We've been with WooCommerce for a number of years, and integrated it without issue on many websites. Plug-in and extensions are updated regularly to keep as secure as possible and the ability to navigate and add products, etc. is very clear and easy to use.
Pros
I love the numerous extensions available to take your cart to the next level and integrate with any shipping platform and payment account.
