Pros

Our system-agnostic manufacturing consulting practice helps manufacturers of all sizes select, implement, and operate ERP systems. MRPeasy continues to provide the highest bang per buck for small manufacturers. The system has evolved to provide a comprehensive and integrated solution that covers purchasing, inventory, manufacturing, sales, and accounting.

Features that stand out are:

-- material lot traceability is standard out-of-the-box
-- shop floor interface for labor reporting is clean and simple
-- material requirements are easily converted to POs or MOs
-- customer support via the in-system ticketing system is good

I wish it was able to recursively auto-create MOs for subassemblies at lower BOM levels

Pros

The ability to work with multiple processes in different stages and related multiple items. MRPeasy is user friendly and came out top when we tested compared to other software programs for ease of use.

Cons

We process products which go through multiple stages of production. Although MRPeasy can do this well, we have to copy the data regularly which can be a little labourious. Packaging is a great function but it is not perfect yet for the way we package and supply finished goods.

We got too big for google sheets and the level of tracking required with google.

Easier to use and seemed to suit our manufacturing processes better.

Pros

The inventory, manufacturing modules are very good. Happy with ease of use.

Cons

it has no crm that enables communicating directly with customers. it would be good if we can integrate third part crm for example hubspot. Would also like there to be an approval system for customers or suppliers.

Integration into xero is good. Very good intake done by the sales team.
Made by engineers so technically stable. The interface is clunky, but just managable.

Cons

The support side is as flexible as a wooden door. To have 3 small things done to the layout of invoice and packing list, they charge 23 hours x 150 USD = 3450 USD development work.

An intuitive, visually appealing, and capable ERP system that is truly easy to use!

Cons

Only downside is that customization is limited as the program is the same for all users. However, with careful planning to accommodate everyone, we've had many successful customization projects with the MRPeasy team.

User friendly and iduituve design. Web platform - no need for internal servers.

Back then, the most important feature was the multilayer BOM. Most competitors were only able to go 1 level deep. Or otherwise the costs would go up significantly. Also for us MRP easy became essential for stock management, purchasing, supplier management. The interface is also very intuitive compared to other softwares

Cons

During procurement, you have to send a mail, this process can be improved. It opens directly to your mail account, but only a link to the PDF document. I want to attach the PDF. It takes the general contact information, instead of the responsible person of the company. Next to this it messes up the layout of the mail message.

The overall look and feel and during testing, it was the most complete package for our needs.

Pros

The system pegs all inventory which allows for detailed forward and backward production planning.

Cons

We would like to have it plan production orders instead of having to manually drill down into our multi-level bill of materials.

Reasons for Choosing MRPeasy

The integration of MISys to Sage 50 was very burdensome. Also MISys is a traditional MRP system. It does not peg inventory lots for supply and demand.

We've encountered very few limitations. There have only been a couple of minor things that we wanted to do with the software but couldn't.

Pros

Ability to ease into the system, walk before we run. We're a small company that did not have an existing MRP, some employees had no prior experience with MRP/ERP. Very intuitive and easy to learn/train to.

Cons

Videos move at breakneck speed, but you can rewatch as many times as needed.
Most users had this observation.

Free trial showed ease of use, ability to rollout at our speed, low initial cost if we decided later that it wasn't the right tool.

We use MRPeasy to keep track of vendors, parts, and to create quotes for customer orders. The user interface is simple, clean, fairly intuitive and easily searchable. We found creating bills of material, routings, and job invoices to be quick and painless. We also appreciate that as we grow as a manufacturer, more functions are available to add-on, making this a friendly software to get started with that grows with you.

Cons

Nothing major stands out except that it is a little unsettling to spend so much time entering data in a system that is a monthly subscription. But this is the way everything is going these days. One simple change we would love to see would be the ability to select multiple line items in an order and to be able to edit them as a batch.

Pros

Handling all functions from procurement to distribution, MRPeasy is a very complete tool, avoiding the use of several other software.

Cons

Integration with other software of the market could be improved.
API integration should be available from with professional or enterprise version.

From the free trial, to implementation and now daily use, the whole process has been incredibly smooth to transition into. From having no prior knowledge in MRP software, it has been easy to self educate ourselves on the system using the many demo data videos supplied on YouTube, breaking each process down into manageable chunks. From our previous process of spreadsheets and email orders, the automated system now, once populated correctly, is as simple as inputting customer orders and letting MRPeasy create all PO's and MO's from a click of button. Really useful piece of Software that provides a wealth of data and has increased overall efficiency in all areas of the business.

Cons

Some wording may differ from what you might be used to, which can be confusing at times but once you familarise yourself with the terminology, it really is a minor issue.

Easy to implement with minimal assistance. Great for small businesses looking to keep track of manufacturing.

The Accounting module is very limited and not easy to work. Less customisation options and not great reporting. Kanban view would have been great across all CRM Module.

MRPeasy allows me to maintain my raw material inventory and better plan for my production schedule. I am better able to forecast my raw material needs and what inventories I need.

Some of our products are made at the same time as others but need to be inputted separately (as it is not always the case) which makes it harder to calculate costs of manufacturing.

MRP Easy is layed out very simply, it easy to navigate and simple to understand. It is customisable for your business and certain functions can be deactivated until you come to use them. There was easy to use instructions which made learning at your own pace very simple

Cons

Produciton Planning and the interactions of the system are not perfectly suited to our manufacturing process. It means we cnanot use this functionality eaactly as we woudl like.

Pros

The software is easy to pick up and run with. As a contracted product Development Manager I have set it up for many clients who continue to use it. Training is easy too. The system is smooth and intuitive and literally guides you to the correct sections as you progress. They didn't miss a trick.

Cons

The trial does not allow you to back up for more than 30 days. As it takes 12 to 18 months to launch a product you can get bribed into paying a monthly premium as a contractor to keep the main purpose of the software in order during that time. Others allow you to trial backup then when you are ready upload your backup and hit the ground running saving money and time. MRP Easy however does not!

Pros

It's ease of use and friendly interface makes it easy to train and quick to migrate to. We have had very little to no resistance from personnel when migrating them to use the system.

Cons

Limited customization on the dashboards and reports are also a bit simple.

As we were implementing MRPeasy it helped draw attention to areas of our business that could be better streamlined. We made several changes that helped us maximise our use of MRPeasy and also provide our customers with product selection that more cleverly customised to their needs which in turn improved our sales.

We struggled the most with how to integrate MRPeasy with our accounting system, Xero, but would recommend getting assistance from an experienced accountant. We wished that we could also have the option to feed "virtual stock" numbers to our shopify store. We make up items when we receive an order as different parts can be used to manufacture several different final products but we don't always carry stock to make every single option we offer.

Pros

This cloud-based data management system really covers all the inventory. purchasing, and invoicing needs for our small manufacturing business. The nested framework of items and assemblies are very logical, and the customer management (quotes, invoicing, etc.) has been invaluable. I am able to get through the whole process from quoting to delivery without forgetting steps (like ordering a crucial part). The tutorials and online manual are very helpful, and customer support is quick to get back when there is a question.

Cons

The logic for some of the calculations are not intuitive, and not always clear from the instructions. I figured out many of the functions by careful trial and error, but this could be because I don't have a business background and lack the terminology. The report layouts are a bit constrained if I need to add extra information.
