Instagram.. Its fun to share your moments with family and friends.

I use Instagram almost everyday for quite a bit of my free time. Its good to have a platform desicated to Picture and short video sharing, usually with small captions. Also what I love the most about it is the fact that you don't get too much political posts here like other social media platforms.

Pros

Instagram is a good space to connect with your friends and share your photos and short videos with them or see what they've uploaded. You can also share long videos on Its IGTV features. It also give you the ability to go live with friends or share stories with them that disappear after 24 hours of upload. It has a huge user base and you get a lot of celebrities and influencers here to follow and get to know what happening in thier life, if you are interested. Its editing tools are great and you can edit your pictures according to your need to make them look more good. Also unlike Fb or Twitter, you won't find a lot of political and dissenting debates on Instagram which is a big relief. Along with personal use, you can also effectively use Instagram to promote your business or services due to its mass user base.

Cons

It shows a lot of ads. Also sometimes you get so indulged in scrolling down that you lose track of time and end up spending more time on it.

For me as a social media manager and as someone who use Instagram daily I think the app is...

Well, after using Instagram for 2 years I think it's good for entertainment and marketing and make you contact your friends easily and message them, Instagram also gives you the possibility to meet new friends too

Pros

This app is easy to use like, it's simple and fast, it's easy to post something or share something with your friend, you can follow people that you know personally or anyone else, and it's also easy to start a conversation on it with some cause there is a place where you can send messages on it, the recommended page is good and clear from the unacceptable content.

Cons

Actually, there are some features that should be on Instagram like the availability of making long videos on Instagram like 3 minutes or 5 minutes videos, and adding the option of reacting to posts with funny reactions and angry reactions just like Facebook and other social media platform does.

I like using Instagram because it is an easy and cost-effective application, as well as being...

I use Instagram every day, for work, showing my products and also to relax, watching videos and photos of things I like. I make posts when I travel and share them with people around me.

Pros

I like to have contact with a lot of people and for people to be able to see my work wherever they are. It's a very useful tool for sales and also for interacting with things I like.

Cons

I think the security is a little weak, as there are several people with hacked accounts and losing all their work.

Where's my FREEDOM OF SPEECH

My overall experience with Instagram is good due to the fact that they offer so many ways to reach new people and promote your business. Ways such as hashtags, search bar, The explore page and sending Direct Messages to people. The only problem I've had with them so far which is a big problem is them not letting me exercise my use of freedom of speech by denying me promotion of an ad I was going to pay for.

Pros

I love that instagram allows me to connect with my friends and family as well as people I haven't met before. It's very easy to use, has a lot of different features and tools such as, using hashtags to get more views or likes on your posts, search bar, The explore page and sending Direct Messages to people. I use most of these as an advantage to my business. Instagram also allows you to run ads and gives the opportunity to choose your audience. So I use that too but have recently ran into a problem with running an ad.

Cons

Although Instagram is an app with lots of benefits and is very popular it has some downfalls. Instagram has the option for its users to make ads that promote their page or products but I've recently had a problem with running one of my ads for my business. I was trying to promote my clothing store on a video that had music in it and the music is an original song that I wrote. Well when I hit start ad Instagram made me wait like an hour before getting back with me about why. Their reason as to why I couldn't run my ad was because it had to do with political views and they didn't want me to influence anyone's vote or decisions. But people are clearly influencing peoples votes and decisions EVERY SINGLE DAY! So I didn't understand then and I don't understand now as to why they wouldn't let something go through that I WAS PAYING FOR and let me exercise my right to speak on whatever matters I wanted to speak on. Customer support didn't help one bit, they just kept sending me the same information over again so I finally just didn't worry about it and found another way to promote my business through another app.

The first thing a new business should set up

I love instagram and it’s how meowbox grew and thrived back in 2013 when we launched.

I love that Instagram is free and later offers paid ads when you’re ready to level up your business.

Cons

I find it difficult to understand the algorithm and how to get traction.

Alternatives Considered

Reasons for Switching to Instagram

I found Instagram easier to set up and it had excellent engagement right off the bat.

Instagram is one of the most popular social networks in the world, with more than a billion...

The overall experience with Instagram can be quite varied, depending on each user's personal use and goals. Mine in general was good.

Pros

I like Instagram because it allows us to interact directly with friends, followers and brands through comments, likes and direct messages, creating a feeling of community and closeness.

Cons

The Instagram algorithm can be frustrating, as it doesn't always show posts in chronological order, which can cause users to miss important updates from their contacts, which is a negative point.

How can Instagram help people's lives?

I've been using Instagram for 3 years. This application is also a way to showcase your work, your art.

Pros

It's an application that allows us to follow the lives of people we like and follow in some way and also allows us to learn about products through influencers. The best thing is that we can share with each other

Cons

What I liked least is that there is no option to see who unfollowed us and who blocked us.

Pros

Great to be able to share photos and videos for my small business

Cons

Instant Marketing to a Wide Market

Great. The app does what it is supposed to do.

Pros

Instagram offers several key benefits, including the ability to engage visually with impactful images and videos, foster a sense of community through features like stories and live videos, raise awareness about available services and support, reach a wide and diverse audience, and build and reinforce our brand identity. These advantages make Instagram a valuable asset for connecting with veterans, sharing important information, and building a supportive community.

Cons

I would say the direct messages are a pain as we get spammed by pornography often.

A comprehensive review of the Instagram application

A great experience, I use Instagram every day
Most of my time on my phone is I spend on Instagram
This exceeds the 7-hour barrier of daily use
I hope that the developers of the Instagram application prefer this way and do not tend to obstruct the design, as happened with Snapchat previously, because I was one of the active users of Snapchat in the past, but with the update in which the design of the application changed significantly, I am no longer the best so I moved to Instagram and it was a great experience to the cheek now with Instagram

Pros

Instagram has many features, so in general it is an integrated application for me. I use it almost the entire time I open my phone
But the features I like most of it
All my friends and acquaintances use the application, so I can communicate with almost everyone from one platform and this is a very beautiful thing
And the advantage of sending a picture that the other party can see only once, and then it cannot open the image, and the most beautiful of this is that if he takes a screenshot of the image, an alert appears to me.

Cons

I think if I had an alert feature added, if someone took a screenshot of the conversation it would be better for my experience
What is bad is that users are not allowed to send a video in the chat that lasts more than a minute. If it reaches 3 minutes, this will be better from my point of view.

Best social media platform for business

I've used Instagram for my personal account for years and loved it. When I decided to make a dedicated account for my blog it was a game-changer. It really allows you to build relationships with customers by showing the personal side of yourself through pictures and stories. Nowadays people want to see who is behind the businesses they support! Instagram is also great for gaining website visitors by guiding people from the app to your website through links on stories, your profile, or posts. If you have any kind of blog or business I would highly recommend creating an Instagram account.

Pros

Instagram allows you to really build a relationship with customers through pictures and stories in a way that other social media platforms can't. The Instagram stories are my favorite feature because they allow you to show a more personal side and show the person behind the business. I get the most interaction from my customers through stories by using the polls, quizzes, etc. It's a great feature!

Cons

Because Instagram is such a great business tool it's extremely competitive. Every business has an Instagram account nowadays so it makes ranking for hashtags and showing up on featured pages difficult regardless of what niche you're in.

Instagram a primary social media

Instagram has been a primary social network at least for me that I use everyday, and I don't see me stopping. I like how it is simple and allows me to have a platform to unwind and escape the world for a moment. Over time, I noticed that Instagram is becoming increasingly commercial, and I don't like the algorithms as I feel like I am missing out. Overall, I understand that why Instagram decides to make these decisions and I am generally happy with the software.

Pros

I have always loved the idea of the UI design of instagram. The fact that it is one continuous scroll allows easy navigation and just a simple social experience while still allowing room for features such as direct messaging and stories. I particularly like how it has become more conscious over time, like giving reminders and warnings for misinformation or about current social situations.

Cons

I feel like it is changing too often. I feel like every update is very drastic and just sudden. Instagram should test new UI designs first before making it live, I remember Instagram once changed the UI design to swiping to change the tabs and everyone hated it, so I guess it is best if they keep things nice and simple as possible. also, bring back chronological orders of posts, I hate missing out on my following's pots because of the algorithm.

Instagram Is Not Just Pictures And Videos

In overall, with the advertising feature that's there, I have able to advertise my book that I had written and had many people going to purchase it amazon kindle. I am able to reach out to friends from all over the world, including long lost friends whose contact numbers I had lost.

Pros

I like that you can connect with the world at large, being able to create a community of people you have never met in person but share common interests and appreciating what one posts, leaving a comment and liking. I love the tag feature that has no restrictions at all, the person you tag to a post will receive a notification that they were tagged. You can easily tag famous people like Dwayne Johnson and they will see it, its now up to them to react and show that they have seen it. Moreover, Instagram now allows one to advertise their products and services through posting, and the post appearing to people that don't even follow you. That is a great tool for marketing.

Cons

I hate the impact Instagram has on people. It is not just posting pictures and videos but it has become more intense, people are starting to seek validation on the platform, validation from people they know nothing about, feeling like they are important because they have more likes or have a blue check. It s really taking a stroll on mental health and I am speaking form experience. Spending hours and hours to scrolling, looking at "beautiful" people, lives you wish you had and you start feeling insignificant, low self esteem, loss of self worth. I hate how people ridicule those that do not like that app for these reasons, making them feel like they are boring people. We need to take care of our mental health. this is just a con but I don't think it's the software's fault.

Instagram for Small Business Networking

Instagram is great for small businesses. I originally thought Instagram was for sharing personal content, but once I realized that you can market your business on there, I joined immediately. It is so easy to post content to share with your desired audience. I don’t have to worry about spending money to advertise to people that are not in my area or demographic. It is easy to track my ads, my post interactions, and my conversion rates through the analytics. The cost for ads and promotions is relatively cheap compared to other social media platforms and gives a lot of customization to give the best suited options for my business. I highly recommend Instagram, it has really helped me connect with my customers and grow my business.

Pros

I like that I am able to share my media and create ads and promotions that are special specifically for my business.

Cons

I don’t have a lot of dislikes, but the financials could be better.

Not as good as it should be having such a big users community.

Instagram is both good and bad at the same time. It does provide a channel to deploy information and advertisement, but it does no offer clear rules to do it. The new argued "inclusive" guidelines of their working algorithm foster or not the distribution of your publications, then, many of your followers will or won't see what you have to show.

Pros

Does have a lot of active users worldwide.
It allows integrating with platforms like Facebook.
The app is fairly simple to use

Cons

Does not have defined game rules
The algorithm shows your content or hides you despite your follower's amount but their interest.
The customer service is a shame, it is almost no existent.

Reasons for Choosing Instagram

The users' community is broader than those other platforms, and it does provide on a paper a bigger audience for any publication made.

The instant change in Instagram!

I’ve been able to solve many business problems I wasn’t able to solve with previous software such as linked in/Facebook etc. I Instagram has been optimized to serve my social standards whether it be personal or business. You are permitted up to five accounts you can switch back-and-forth through out for whatever you need to do. They also made a feature in which you can create an online shop right there on your profile. I have been on Instagram for about eight or nine years, and I must say it’s developed into one of the best software I think we have in our day of age. It has all the features of Facebook and Snapchat combined. And I think it’s more user sociable than anything. You can see your favorite celebrities post throughout the day. And it’s very enjoyable to meet new people and build rapport with partners across the network.

Pros

What I like most about this software is you can create a business account or personal account. They also give you the option to put money behind promotion in order to boost your post. They give you insights on your progression and your overall reach.

Cons

Well I like leases that it gets pretty pricey for a promo that you can do on your own with just a little bit of effort. I feel as though the rate of insight per dollar should be changed. But overall I can’t think of too many things I don’t like about the software it’s pretty perfect.

A quality feeds and stories with a stable user platform.

The standardization of the quality of the posts and stories are great with loaded of built-in features like filters, stickers and many more which keep this social media platform quality and fun.

Pros

In posting the pictures and videos various built-in cool filters are available to apply. Can switch the app theme from light mode to dark mode. Login activity option helps the user to check their login history from various location. Instagram stories are loaded with the various filter which makes stories more fun and interesting. Also, Instagram stories have close friends option where the user can create their own list of friends who can view their Instagram stories. Instagram search feed is loaded based on the user relevant interests which is don't keep boring. Following particular hashtags keep the user following their interests. Good responsive for reporting sensitive content and posts. The user can switch their profile from public to personal and open to lock based on their wish.

Cons

The Instagram website version is not as stable as the mobile version. Instagram consumes more internet data. Instagram should control the adult contents which may increase interests in adultery. Although the platform is great but addictive. The stories and posts are great but sometimes ads are irritative. The support team need to increase response time in resolving the issue.

Fun for personal use and a great marketing tool for business

I have found Instagram to be a good source for discovering new businesses that I’m Interested in. When I follow a business page, Instagram suggests similar pages you might want to follow. So, if used correctly, Instagram could be a great resource for reaching new customers/clients and growing your email list.

Pros

We use Instagram to post social media graphics and utilize the Instagram Shop feature. I linked our Instagram store to our Facebook and Instagram accounts and first imported our products to Facebook to set up a shop on that page.

Note: Since Instagram is now owned by Facebook, you can easily link your Instagram account to your Facebook business page and automatically post to both accounts with the click of a button. It’s a great way to increase your visibility to potential customers with less effort.

Going back to the Facebook and Instagram shops... It took some time to customize the Facebook shop, set up product categories, and request Facebook to re-review denied products that I felt should not have been denied. But because our Facebook and Instagram accounts are linked, I was able to automatically import the Facebook shop into Instagram, creating a shop there as well, with the click of a button. That was super easy! (They only bad thing was the categories I set up didn’t transfer to Instagram.)

Another note: Much of the work I put into setting up the shops was done through Shopify - I only had to go into Facebook itself to customize the shop’s appearance and set the categories. I’m not sure how the process works if you are setting up shops directly within Facebook/Instagram.

Cons

My biggest complaint about Instagram is that they don’t let you add links to your posts. You can add a description to the pictures/videos you post, and you can add a URL in the post, but the URL is not clickable. So people viewing your post would have to copy the link, open a new browser tab, and paste the URL there to open the web page. Most people are not going to take the effort to do that.

You can add one link in your Instagram account - to the profile section. So you could potentially switch out that link to send people to a different landing page when promoting a different product or service, inform followers in your new posts about what you are promoting, and instruct them to click the link in the profile. But it makes the whole process much more difficult and annoying.

Small Boutiques MUST Have

I think that, without instagram, I wouldn't be able to reach some of the people that I have worked with. I am able to interact with people all over the world and all they have to do is double-tap on my picture. I can post about content, a personal post, ask for people's opinions, and so much more.
I truly think that, if a small business is going to invest time in a social media app, it should be instagram.

Pros

Instagram is incredibly easy to use and very user-friendly. They keep adding new features on a regular basis that continues to improve upon the app itself and, as long as you pay attention, they will absolutely make a difference.
A boutique shop of any kind; jewelry, makeup, clothing, customization of shoes, etc, that doesn't have an instagram account that they regularly post on is doing a disservice to itself.
People are no longer turning to facebook for a boutique shopping experience and have turned solely to Instagram. Millennials and GenZ swear by the app and are the ones who would be the target audience.
The promotion feature is easy to use and inexpensive.
The interaction features for "Instagram Stories" are invaluable for a business. It's just a simple tap of a finger but it gets people engaged with you.

Cons

Something that irritated me personally was the limit on hashtags. You can only hashtag 30 things. If you have a unique shop, you want to be able to be found as easily as possible and with the ability to reach anyone who may have interest.
I sometimes use my desktop for instagram to reply to messages but that's really all I can do. There is no posting feature for the desktop. That's just a small pet peeve of mine.
Links posted in comments or posts are not hyperlinked and you can't copy/paste them. Super annoying for content creators that are promoting a new article.

Instagram: Content Vs. Memories

Overall, my experience has been good, but not exemplary. Instagram has a lot of social and technical ramifications to work out, but for what it's worth, the app gets the job done and can provide a meaningful way to connect with people or know what my friends are up to. They say a picture says a thousand words, but sometimes the sense of capturing a moment is lost in the pseudo-marketing of it all. Instagram is an app that has evolved over time, and it's likely that I need to evolve with it.

Pros

I like how easy Instagram is to use--the notion that a post is just a click away. From a user perspective, I enjoy writing captions for my photos and applying a location; it makes my post feel more complete and gives a little bit of backstory for viewers.

I also appreciate the Story feature, mostly as a way of checking in with what my friends in real life are doing, sometimes in real time, or very recently. While I feel Instagram's main purpose is to share photos, the video aspect, while short-term, is rewarding as well.

Cons

I dislike the stigma that surrounds Instagram, which sometimes feels like it's there to churn out content--even duplicate posts, and repetitive creativity--as opposed to share memories. With an unlimited amount of photos at my disposal, I can scroll for hours but never get a sense of who I'm really seeing. Posts lose their specialness by prioritizing the fact that it was posted at all over the notion of a moment in time.

On the technical side, I dislike the Message and Discover icons as I believe they are misrepresented--I often click on one when I meant to click on the other. Furthermore, the general UI of Instagram feels like it could be improved to prioritize a grander scope of photos rather than one per user at a time; it's less of an issue about crowding the page and more about having too little on the page, or at least, forcing us to choose how much time we're willing to spend to sift through a day's worth of posts.

I'm also not a fan of filters as I believe they detract from the natural intention of the post. Not only that, but many filters resemble each other too much.

A great place for small businesses

My overall experience has been great! Instagram is a need of the hour. Connecting with new people and be able to know what’s going around me has become so fun through Instagram.

Pros

I love Instagram! It has given me a chance to show what my business has through user profiles, great campaign management and its other features such as alerts and notifiCations have helped in increasing my sales. I would definitely recommend all businesses to use Instagram to promote their business. It is great and so easy to use!! For a person like me who doesn’t know much about technology, Instagram is the easiest and simplest platform to use and yet it provides me with so many cool features and opportunities.

Cons

Sometimes there are glitches in Instagram due to which there are issues with posting new products so I have to use stories feature to put new products. Those glitches sometimes affect the sales a lot because people are usually signed up for alerts for posts and not stories and since stories get removed after 24 hours not a lot of people are able to see the products.
